I paid it off. I contacted HR Block VA Beach and the rep stated: Jimmie Just by looking at your payment and the date of the IRS letter, I'm almost 100% positive that it was a computer generated letter and the letter and your payment kind of passed each other in this whole process. I'll get another tax pro to look at it and see what they think and let you know. When I asked why did the letter state that I owe it by June 2, 2025. I have not received a response. Make sure that you do your research when selecting a tax rep and tax prep company. HR Block gets zero stars.

She ended up giving me to another lady who was available...why not give the walk ins to her and keep your appointment? I just found it to be unprofessional as most people choose a particular person for a reason as I did. I really went back and forth whether I should give 3 or 4 stars because the other lady was nice but wasn't as familiar about certain tax rules for the state I had moved from... but she did work hard looking things up to verify so I guess for that, 1 star is earned back. The initial brush off from the more experienced person I had an appointment with kind of left a bitter taste on the overall experience.
