When she filed our taxes, she incorrectly misspelled my first name as "Phillip" and not "Philip" which created an issue with tax returns. At our tax appointment this year, we asked Maureen to correct the misspelling in my name and she replied, "it doesn't matter, they only look at the first 3 or 4 letters", and made NO changes. About 3 weeks later, we got notification from the State that our banking financial institute was denying our state refund deposit because of my name misspelling AND Maureen had left out a number of our bank account. Needless to say, we have been on the phone for hours/days with Federal, State and our bank trying to correct this because when we called Maureen to ask for help fixing this, her response was "it was already filed". That is 4 strikes in only 2 tax preps. IMO, multiple mistakes were made by Maureen with no help to fix them. We do not recommend this service to anyone.

I get it, all banks are understaffed but I can say with the same number of employees I can name the Norfolk one and the one near VA Beach town center to have much better customer service than this Fordham Drive branch. Why? (1) it's way after lunch time at 1:48pm on a Monday when people wait through the weekend to tend to transactions. But you have 1 staff sitting in the corner not helping anyone (still on a long lunch break??) (2) there's no one tending to the lobby. I stood there for 15 minutes. I saw the manager just standing there shooting the breeze with someone seeing that I've been standing there. After 30 minutes she finally comes out but then would tell me to wait for a teller to help. All I needed was for online banking help not teller services! Mind you I called online services and have been told that I need to go to a financial center. (3) on many occasions without fail I would be waiting for my turn but whenever a senior citizen comes in, they get greeted and get ahead of the line! I get it there may be biases because the seniors are the "pinnacles" of our society but come on! This is age discrimination! I surmise there is general Bank of America assumption that seniors sit on a pile of retirement money so they target this demographic and cater to them more (4) this branch is the only one serving the Kempsville/kemps River area and it's not even open on Saturdays! I have been a Bank of America customer since 1986 back when they were NationsBank... I am a person of habit and don't have time to get my $$ transferred elsewhere but this is getting to be ridiculous! Mind you am not just a personal account customer, am also a business account customer. Where once there is parity in treatment, now the only time they serve you if you're not a senior citizen is when you have some $$ in the account and they want you to invest your $$ with them. Tough luck.
