The tacos were generously topped with lettuce and slice of avocado. The beans seem like they were blended and very tasty. The only downside was the language barrier. We orders 3 beef tacos and 1 chicken taco and they mistakenly brought out 2 chicken and 2 beef. It was a little difficult rectifying the order. We finally decided to bring the chicken order and order another beef set but it took a while for them to understand us. I think it was just a mistake on the kitchen part since when the receipt came, the order was actually for 3 beef and 1 chicken. All food at the end. The main thing I had were the nuegados con chilate. Nuegados are these deep fried disc shaped things that come with a sweet honey syrup. They were okay. They reminded me of hash browns except bigger and harder. The chilate was a corn drink on the side. I did not like it that much because it was very bland. The two other things I ordered I liked a lot. One was a pastel de carne. This was what they call the typical half-moon shaped empanada found in many Latin American countries. It was very moist, flaky, and delicious. The second was an empanada de leche. However, their empanada was an oval shaped fried plantain patty, filled with a sweet milk cream. It was very sweet and very tasty! I also tried a piece of my friend's steak. The steak was also nicely made. It was not dry at all, well seasoned, and thin like I prefer my steaks. The staff were also very friendly and greeted us as we entered. This place was a very good find. I am surprised no one else had written a review yet.

My favorite was the jalapeño and cheese, which have a nice kick to them. The yuca frita was crispy but not oily, and made for a great appetizer before the pupusas. We came during happy hour and took advantage of the drink specials. The red sangria and margaritas were only $8 a glass and they were both strong and tasty, though I preferred the sangria slightly more. The music at Salvatoria was great and made for a nice atmosphere, with current Latino hits playing in the background. My only note, and it's minor, is that the curtido wasn't as good as I've had at other places. They do give you a good amount, but it lacked some of the crunch and acidity that a great curtido needs to balance out the pupusas. Overall, Salvatoria Kitchen and Bar delivers on food, value, and atmosphere. The bill for four pupusas, two drinks, and an order of yuca frita came out to just $45 before tip.

We took our seats and as always, I recommend ordering the pupusas since they're the most delicious Salvadoran staple and what I've always enjoyed most from their menu. After ordering, the wait for the food was much longer than expected considering the place wasn't very crowded. When I finally received the cheese & pupusas revueltas I ordered, I was filled with disappointment. The sauce for the pupusas was very watery and poorly made and the pupusas themselves were very dry. It was not the quality of food I've expected from El Rincón. I'm not sure if it just happened to be an "off" night or if their quality has just lessened over time but I used to really enjoy this spot. I'll probably be coming here again sometime soon and hopefully I'll be able to more positively change my review.
