    Diavola pizza

Norwegian food is delicious but was nice to have a break with some awesome Italian cuisine from here! The Diavola pizza was perfect (wish they cut the pizza into slices for you though). Service was quick and friendly as well

My mom and I had a mid-evening dinner here on a rainy day in Bergen. We came without reservations and were immediately seated. We each got a pasta, and shared the bruschetta appetizer. My mom also ordered a beer. The bruschetta was decent - nothing extraordinary or bad. I've definitely had worse ones so this was pretty good. I got the fusili pesto pasta - was surprised it wasn't the green pesto but it was still yummy. The texture of the pasta was kind of tough to chew, but the meal delivered on our need for comfort food. I understand why this spot is highly recommended to folks visiting Bergen.

I really enjoyed dinner with family here. The waitress was helpful in ordering however I would say this is for special occasions. It is quite pricey. The pizza was good however I found it to taste similar to Olivias or other local pizzerias. The wine was decent that we chose however there was a huge selection and impressive decor. I would say my favorite was the ceasar salad, it was unique and flavorful.

Beautiful location in the heart of Bergen. It's intimate and popular amount the locals as it's not a chain restaurant. The goat cheese beet salad was incredible, I could of eaten the cheese all day long. I had the seafood soup with mussels, prawns, shrimp and fish. It was overall good. One issue I had was the mussels were super tiny and I kept finding fish bones in the soup. The pizza was okay we got the Diablo but when it came out it was extremely soggy.

When in Bergen, Norway, you will enjoy the ambiance, generous proportions, and delectable entrees of this "North Italy" restaurant! We asked at our hotel for a recommendation for local pizza joint and instead lucked into a fantastic restaurant experience. The service was courteous and prompt. We had time to savor our meal and still be on time for a nearby concert at the Bergen Dom.

I would like to say I would return to this restaurant but I can't. The service was horrible. We had a reservation for 2 and got seated upstairs. Our waiter was not accompanying with any changes to the menu items. We asked for bread and never got any. Our food came before our drinks did. When it came time to pay, our waiter was no where to be found. It's like we were forgotten in the back corner of this dark restaurant. The food was okay but not anything to rave about. The noodles weren't cooked fully and were hard.

Cute Locally Owned Italian Restaurant with Indoor & Outdoor dining... Decent BTG Chianti, Delicious Beet & Feta Salad, legitimately spicy Diavla pizza... Travel Companion had a seafood soup and said that it was good.

Italian restaurant offering stone baked pizzas, pastas, and other delectable dishes…read more Although we did not secure reservations ahead of time, we were seated within a few minutes of our arrival. The atmosphere is modern with large glass windows looking out to the walkways of the city. The decor is simple, rustic with dark tones throughout the dining area. The natural light is beautiful while dining at 8 pm! It doesn't get dark at night! Service is somewhat slow here. Our order was taken after other guests were seated after us, and we noticed their orders were taken before us. Maybe our server was distracted? Finally, after waiting for quite some time, our server appeared and took our drink and meal orders. Unfortunately, our dishes came out at all different times. The three course meal was served very late. Maybe due to the seafood? We shared our calamari , salad and pizza together, while waiting for the linguine. Still water and sparkling water are served here upon request. Our order: Appetizer-Calamari fritti (deep fried calamari with aioli and lemon, Insalata piccola (small side salad with cherry tomatoes, pickled red onion and honey and mustard vinaigrette). Main three course menu, Della Casa-Bruschetta ai pomodorina (crispy focaccia with stracciatella, vegan 'nduja, and a mix of semi-dried and marinated tomatoes), Linguine ai frutti di mare ( classic pasta dish with mussels, scampi, heart shells in spicy tomato sauce), and Torte al limone ( tangy lemon crème, crispy short crust, topped with light Italian meringue). Pizza: Parma ai pomodori secchi ( prosciutto di Parma, chèvre cream, honey, semi dried tomatoes, mozzarella fior di latte, rocket -asked not to add this, and pine nuts). The food was amazing here. Just the timing of the service and presentation of dishes were unfortunate. Minus one star for the timing issues.

While there is an extensive pizza menu, I'm more of a seafood fan and ordered the Linguine al Frutti di Mare. The Linguine al Frutti di Mare is a pasta dish that serves mussels in a spicy tomato sauce. The sauce had a satisfying kick that gave the dish that umph I was looking for. However, the bread winner (literally): the focaccia bread-- perfectly seasoned and utterly addictive. The ambiance is warm and inviting, especially for those in the area.
