She apologized it was the last one and the label as damaged. I didn't recognize the name but it was a CRU 2005 French pinot noir from Burgundy. We shared a glass and Descriptors with Lena. All good and fun. The reindeer was tender. It reminded me of a lean steak. It was one of those unexpected wonderful nights.

The building itself is not my favourite; with all the windows it is almost like a greenhouse, which is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. It is also quite small, and hence always crowded. On a Friday afternoon you have to be there before 4pm, to be sure to get a table. The chairs (mainly highchairs) are really uncomfortable in the long run, but Don Pippo is a great first stop on a bar-hopping afternoon.
