She apologized it was the last one and the label as damaged. I didn't recognize the name but it was a CRU 2005 French pinot noir from Burgundy. We shared a glass and Descriptors with Lena. The wines are however a good enough reason to visit Altona. The premises are 400 years old, a real cellar with different cosy rooms. Be aware of the low ceiling, though. Tall people need to be flexible to pass the doors. The restaurant is in one large room next to the entrance, with white tablecloths on the tables, candle lights and comfortable chairs. You can have a seat in the smaller rooms in the back if you are there only to enjoy some delicious wine and good company. Altona is located in a hotel, approx. 5-6 minutes walk from the city center. They have a cosy front yard for summer nights, or for smokers all year around. I very much recommend a visit to Altona. One room styled like a traditional pub, another room is styled like a Victoria lounge with overstuffed wooden chairs, patterned rugs, and coffee tables, and the final room is tucked inside the cellar with eclectic furniture.
