There's many staff that always seem to be walking around re-stocking/ tidying up the shelves. I use self-check out anyway, so I rarely need to interact with anyone. The pharmacy is up and down. Sometimes, I can pick up my prescription within 15 minutes, but many times it's longer because they only have 1 person helping at the window. Generally, they seem impatient and like they just don't care. I.E., you've waited thirty minutes just to get to the pick up window, and not even a "hello, sorry for the wait".. just "NAME?" . Also, they need to stop loudly reading out everyone's name, birthdays, addresses, and prescriptions. Have some discretion and lower your voice. The Canada Post can also take forever. Every time I go with a quick package, there's a huge a line and one pour soul working there. They don't provide enough space to queue up, so you're blocking the storage/ staff room door and/ or standing in the freezer area. Why oh why, don't you staff 2 people, when you KNOW everyone's coming to CP after work to mail out their stuff?? And if someone needs to label their package still, please move them aside and help the next customer. I don't expect much from Shoppers anymore.. but sometimes this place just puts the cherry on top of a bad day.

In fact, I find myself going to this Shoppers Drug Mart 2-3 times over the four days I'm in town for items I was unable to bring on the place. I rarely need to interact with the staff as I typically use the self-checkout kiosks to check out. I usually make my first trip to this location to pick up distilled water and a few snacks I could use for the next four days. Then, I come back to pick up items to bring back home as souvenirs on another visit. I have also visited this location to pick up passport applications. On one visit a year or two ago, I even bought a shaver there and toiletries that I forgot. It's helpful to remember to bring your own bag from home as there is cost for each bag you use, though that's typical across Toronto. If you go to the Shoppers website (https://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca), you can shop online, use the pharmacy, see flyers and offers, and much more. You can also sign up for the PC Optimum program by going to https://accounts.pcid.ca/create-account which can be used at Shoppers Drug Mart, Joe Fresh, PC Optimum, PC Express, and PC Health. You can redeem special offers for credits, and often, there is even a special offer on your birthday. It's great to get freebies and to earn reward dollars quickly and with little effort. While I don't have much experience with asking staff for assistance, I have still found my experience at this Shoppers Drug Mart to be good. I'll certainly be back when I'm back in Toronto.

The store clerks are very cordial and the postal staff are terrific. Apparently, they'll be relocating to the space vacated by Food Basics. I'm looking forward to the expansion. My rating is 3.5 stars…read more After work last Thursday, I wanted to pick up some hand cream for my mom. She had cracked skin on one of her hands for at least a week. The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. I liked the care that she showed and the help that she gave. I'd come back here again when I'm in the area. (157)
