This is the most compact yet comprehensive pharmacy I've ever been to. It has three distinct parts to it - Canada Post kiosk, the pharmacy counter itself, and the all-in-on drug store in between.
I will start with the pharmacy counter. So this is located inside the Finch and Midland medical building which as you have just guessed, means that there are a ton of customers for this pharmacy. It was lunch time when we went to go pick up a a refill and there were at least 10 people waiting around the counter for their order at any time. This was solely waiting for the actual filling of the medication as the counter staff are very quick about greeting you and taking your order if you will. There is some limited seating. One really thoughtful thing is that there is a small water cooler by the counter that customers are free to use.
While you're waiting for your prescription, you might start to wander around the store. It is very small but has the core of what you'd expect at a drug store. They also had a depth in some categories of products. One of them was Benadryl which was highly interesting for someone that suffers from allergies like me. In fact, I don't think I've seen so many different types of Benadryl before, including a night time variety! Isn't all Benadryl a night time variety since it makes you sleepy?? There was a big vitamin selection comprising primarily of Jamieson products, over the counter medication for pain/colds/stomach problems, that section for your feet, and even a rarer ergonomics section with Obus Forme goods! Not even all Shoppers have a big selection of cushions and pillows. I did see a stand of greeting cards and some other little knick knacks by the register as well.
Lastly, this pharmacy also has a Canada Post! There are shipping supplies for purchase close to the mailing counter. They also have the special stamp and Canadian mint collection coins. There are mailboxes that you can rent as well.
For such limited real estate in this medical building, this pharmacy does a lot! read more
