This is a Long over due review. We are so glad we went with Village Cigar Headquarters for our wedding. At Sandcastle. They set up a table at our cocktail hour and rolled cigars and put custom logos of our name and wedding date 4.15.18 ....Our guest loved it. They were able to take them as a keepsake with matches and a cigar cutter. This was such a great added luxury to our wedding. We were allowed to come in ahead of time and hang out at the cigar lounge which is so nice and they have so many choices. What can I say? This place is amazing. As soon as you walk in you know you are going to spend money. Great selection on most premium cigars that are out there. The owner, Danny, does a great job of keeping the place spotless. You must check out upstairs before you leave because it will blow your mind. It feels like a living room on steroids. They have great events in the store about 5 times a year and those you cannot miss. No membership required so everyone is treated equally, which is very inviting. Of course it is NYS so it is BYOB. So it was a long day at work for me and I decided I need some sticks to fire up with a nice scotch for later in the evening. I figured let me try out this place, since I've been going to Village Tobaccanist for years now, let me spread my money around in the Covid-19 environment. I step in the joint and I am not even there 20 seconds and the guy yells at me, "Hey!! MASK!!" Now, I find it extremely ironic to even wear a mask into a cigar lounge/seller in the first place, but I had left it in the car so I went outside to get it. What really troubled me was how the guy had zero social skills and customer service skills. "Hey! MASK!" You must be joking right? No, "hey sir, you forgot your mask, if you need one let me know," which I say nicely to people as they enter MY place of business. "Hey, MASK" definitely didn't go over well with me. So when I came back masked up, I told the guy, "a hey sir you forgot your mask would have been better." Do you believe he then gave more of an attitude with an "excuse me?" I say you heard me. He repeats, excuse me? I don't know, maybe he has a Napolean Complex or some other mental issue, but after that I said you heard me and repeated it just in case...then I said you know what...I'll go to the OTHER cigar place, which by the way, had about 8 people in there to his none. Babylon has a sweet lounge upstairs and Patchogue has an open floor with seating and a tv and seating around a roundtable. Both great places to hangout and chill. First impressions were spot on at both locations as you're greeted at the door. Fair prices and large selections with something for every smoker.
