I will never understand how places like this stay in business. I wouldn't normally post a negative…read morereview of a small business based on a negative personal interaction, but it so happens that my opinion of the store wasn't otherwise very good, so here I am. This place aims to sell you only "upscale brands" but in reality, it's just the items that correspond to the owner's personal style. The selection is very poor. Shopping for kids' things was particularly frustrating as there was barely one or two items in each size. Thus so I can't understand how they're so picky/snobby with what consignment to accept when their shelves are so bare. As a consignor, the policy at Katelyn's Closet is that you drop off clothing and the next day you are supposed to return for your rejects or those things will be donated. There's no way of telling whether or not your things are accepted until you show back up with the store the next day. (This is a terrible policy). I've been buying and selling at consignment for YEARS and none of my items were taken for sale. And my unselected things were SO SO quickly donated, frankly it makes me suspicious that they were donated at all. Maybe they're being sold online.

You won't show up wearing the same outfit as someone else. What I especially liked are the many options made with natural fibers, the only thing I can wear comfortably. Right now they have lots of linen clothing, getting ready for spring and summer. In addition to the dresses, tops, pants, jackets and sweaters, they have a small but wonderful collection of shoes, hair accessories, scarves, belts and purses. They have curated fun and funky jewelry from local artists and elsewhere that would totally transform a simple black dress into a standout outfit. Customer service is genuinely friendly and attentive. Depending on your needs, they will stay with you, collect items they think will appeal to you, and offer candid feedback. Definitely a personal shopping experience if that's what you choose. They also give you privacy to browse, roam, try on things on totally on your own, if that is your preferred shopping style. Located on SW Capital Hwy in Multnomah Village, Switch Shoes and Clothing is a worthy destination! While there, enjoy the other charming stores nestled on this street interspersed amongst restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. A lovely way to spend the afternoon!

I practically buy every gift for my mother here and usually spoil her because the display outfits are gorgeous. Just a year after my first review, and I've come to love Paloma all the more…read more A fun point I missed in my original review is: Paloma has been around forever... Well, at least my whole lifetime(+), and that's a while at this point ;). My relationship with Paloma, has changed from a shop where I looked at pretty things, as a little girl with my grandmother - to a staple. Paloma is my go-to place when I am seeking something special and unique for the loved ones in my life. Paloma never lets me down with their expansive collections of accessories, bags, locally made jewelry, and high quality US made clothing lines, such as: Cut Loose and Tianello. Being rather petite, the clothing at Paloma is not always available in my size. However, the pieces I have bought for myself, are some of my favorites. On the other hand, the jewelry is where I really go a bit overboard for myself. I can't resist the exceptional selection of handmade rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. At first glance you may think Paloma to be a stuffy boutique, but the shop gals are ever so helpful, and friendly. I had worried bringing my kids into the shop would be frowned upon. This is not the case. I've discovered I am welcome to bring the kids in with me. Paloma even has a basket full of toys to keep the little ones busy. In my case, this means I make it into the shop much more frequently than I did before. One last thing: Paloma is an active supporter of community it serves. They support us, and I love to support them by continuing to shop local in their store. 2017 #5

The huge collection of kitchen towels with various sayings will keep you captivated for quite some time. There are always sayings that immediately relate to yourself or someone you know. They make a great hostess gift along with a bottle of wine, bottle of olive oil or chocolates. Speaking of chocolates, maybe it was because Easter is around the corner, but the store is overflowing with foiled chocolate bunnies of every size, cartons of eggs from Tony's Chocokolonely - who knew they got into the holiday niche? Peeps of every color. Foiled chocolate eggs in vibrant colors. Bags of Seattle Chocolates wrapped candies and their fun, individual chocolate bars in unique flavors with cheerful messages on the wrapper. Even individual pieces of gourmet chocolates at the counter. The huge wall display of socks with sayings will have you laughing out loud, probably why they invented the LOL acronym. But there are serious items, too. The Naked Bee makes lip balms, lotions, hand sanitizer, and CBD serums that moisturize better than most products I've tried. We left with several items and the knowledge Peachtree Gifts carries the full spectrum of offerings. There are stuffed animals, the ever popular seasonal gnomes, candles, plaques with sayings, stickers, colored pens, journals, and of course, a fabulous selection of greeting cards For every occasion and then some! Definitely worth a stop when you are in Multnomah Village! I challenge you to leave empty handed.

I found a few nice items that I was not looking for and it is always fun when happens. It is the kind of store that you go in not looking for anything and you find something you did not even know you needed. LOL There is also a little table outside the store with random reduced price items. The staff is super nice and knowledgeable of the store items. I had a big stroller and they opened the back door just to accommodate us They also have personal invitations in the back of the store. It is indeed a great store to find gifts for family, friends, and loved ones. If I ever go back to the area I will stop by again to get some cute little items. It is totally worthy to stop if you have the chance to.
