I have been going to this barbershop for at least 8 years. Ever since my son recommended it. The first time I went, it seemed nice, hot lather straight razor neck shave and good cut. But when I noticed a younger man getting a military cut and a young girl sitting waiting on him, I started to pay attention. Heard he was being deployed to Iraq as the barber and he were speaking. When he got up and reach in his pocket to pay, the barber, Wade, stopped his hand and said, "your money's not good here, thank you for your service. Stay safe". Joe and Wade are the best. This is a barber shop. Clipper cuts, fades, flat tops; straight razor neck shaves. Hair cuts are flawless, and it's worth the wait to get "your barber." It's a man cave where you feel like you are among your family. Military and LEO patches cover the walls representing the clientele. Comfortable couches provide a safe respite from the intensity of the Colley-Vegas shopping mob. Be careful not to get run over by a mom bus in the parking lot. Unpretentious and calm. Always a friendly greeting. Bring cash, no cards. If you doze off while waiting, expect someone to take your picture and text it to you. Don't make Cowboys jokes as they may hurt feelings. I only gave this a one star because I had to, sometimes I understand the idea of not taking card and I respect that but, sometimes people and businesses should understand and respect that some people don't carry cash. Like women with small children, I was treated with such disgust, just because I didn't have cash. Saying to me 'oh his hair cut can wait,'... Well i am sure me walking and getting cash is not that big of a deal but I won't take me or my child back into a professional establishment that treats guest like this. Sorry I don't carry cash, but it's more for my safety than to make sure you can get paid. Update: I was irritated I forgot to add that, this company was annoyed at me walking across the street to an ATM and they seemed disgusted, I do think people should be paid for their work but they have a disgusting habit of disrespect towards people period. read more

This place is a toss up. It all comes down to the barber that you're getting. I've been here twice and had two completely different experiences. The first time was amazing. The guy was very good. Second guy was awful. My hairline in the front looks like an exponential growth graph and he didn't blend my sides at all and left a chunk of uncut hair in the back that I had to ask him to go back and fix. Went to get my son a haircut on Sat. May 12th 2018. Got there at 130 PM and there are people inside with the door locked. They said they are closed but the sign says walk-ins welcome and hours until 2pm. So rude! We will definitely not be trying them. read more

Joe Shepard and his crew run an old fashioned barbershop. The atmosphere is congenial and welcoming. The crew can cut any hair from a buzz cut to a layered gentleman coiffure. There is much "give and take" among the barbers and customers depending on the customers of course. Great place to visit with the guys and get a professional man's haircut. As a previous review stated, this is not your "metrosexual" fancy pants hair styling place. There's a crapping one of those across the street. This place does straight razor shaves, clippers and a little scissor work. Just like they've been doing it for years. Joe and the others are top notch barbers with plenty of experience to take care of you. Conversation is always engaging and feel free to throw your two cents in but.... be ready for the rebuttal. If you are 50+, and feel like paying $18 bucks for a high and tight buzz cut, this barber shop could be the place for you. However, if you think that might be a little high for someone to utilize only one pair of clippers, no scissors or evidence of finesse, and display a marked lack of patience for a 7 year old who can't sit completely as still as a statue for 10 minutes, then I would suggest walking another 100 feet around the corner to the Great Clips, spend $5 less and actually receive descent customer service and a slightly better haircut. read more
