I've never been big on barber shops. I've always gone to some chain that gets you in and out in a minute. However, these guys/ladies changed my mind on that. At this point, we've been coming here for about a year for haircuts and neither of us has gotten a bad haircut. So, in the most basic sense, what else can you ask for in a barber shop? Second, everyone who works here, including the owners are exceptionally friendly and easy going. That rubs off on the clientele making it just a nice atmosphere. Finally, the pricing really can't be beat. You pay a fraction of what you'd pay at a corporate chain and get a much better product. Please don't come here so I don't have to wait in line for my haircut!! (Just kidding. These folks deserve your business). read more

What an awesome, family owned and ran, barber shop! My man, Jon G. comes to get his hair cuts here, and they always do a fantastic job! Not once have we walked out unhappy! They really take pride in the haircuts and service they provide! Staff is always super friendly and professional, makes you feel like you are in a room of friends getting a cut. No pressure, judgement or pretentiousness like you encounter at some other more "upscale" barber places. It's really nice to see a group of people that appreciate their customers, and their customers' vision of how their hair should look! Pretty roomy inside, lots of seating and a there is a TV to watch whether you are waiting, or in the chair getting a cut, as well as magazines and such. Went in on a Sunday morning and was greeted by a busy but very friendly staff. I called ahead to be sure they took walk-ins and was assured that they did. They also gave me a heads up that they take cash only which was very helpful. If it's busy, be sure to take a number near the coke machine. They do a pretty good job of keeping track of the order that customers walk in. I sat down with Tonya and after a few minutes of telling her what I wanted she was off and trimming away. She listened to my concerns and offered a few suggestions that turned out to be great ideas. Overall, I am very pleased and plan on returning for my next cut. read more

Even though they give great haircuts, don't expect good service. They are family operated and have many friends. Whenever friends come in to talk, which is often, they will constantly stop cutting your hair and talk to their friends for a few minutes. They will then make just a few more cuts just to stop for a few more minutes to talk to their friends. This will keep on going repeatedly. Progress on my hair was progressing at an agonizing pace. I've been going to the Midway Barber shop since I moved to the area and I have to say one of the toughest things to find when you move to a new town is a good barber. I've tried a few others in town and no one has given me as good a cut consistently as these guys. This shop reminds me of the shop I went to as a kid in St. Louis. So maybe I'm being sentimental but they always give me a good cut for $14. They have clients that are third generation so you know they are doing something right. It's a five chair shop and usually there is not too much of a wait but I usually go in the afternoon midweek. The only reason they didn't get five stars is that they don't use a straight razor for the back of your neck. C'est la vie. read more

I've been going to Midway since my first ever haircut. No, I'm not exaggerating. My first haircut, 23 years ago, was at Midway and I've been coming back ever since. Outside of a few haircuts here and there, I always make the drive to Euless for this place. Todd and the guys are some of the best barbers around. And they're also some of the funniest guys around. If cracking up and talking sports while getting your haircut is your thing, Midway is the place to be. It typically costs me $20, $15 for the haircut and $5 for the tip. And I've never once left the place feeling like my hair wasn't cut exactly how I want it. I prefer not to hand out five star reviews on Yelp because I think you have to truly be the best to earn five stars. But Midway, has earned all five and more. read more

They do an excellent job here although not as cheap as the $1.65 (LOL) deal I get at a place near the former Olympic stadium when in Beijing. They always ask what I want rather than giving me the cut they think I should have. The price is reasonable and the barbers are super friendly. I just moved here from New York and this was my first haircut in the area. Staff is very friendly and the place just gives off a very familial vibe. As for the actual haircut, it was done fairly well. My only gripe was with the fact that they don't use a straight razor. In addition, typically in NY barbers give you a shape up with your haircut, but they didn't really bother to ask. I don't know if that's how it normally is here in TX though. All in all, I really appreciated how friendly everyone was and I am content with the haircut I received. That's a lot more than you can say about most places, but I will probably be looking for a different barbershop. read more
