I emailed these folks and they initially told me it would take half a month to get my dog in for an evaluation. I asked in four separate emails to reserve the slot. When they responded to the fourth follow-up email they said it would be an additional half a month to get her in for an evaluation, presumably because they ignored all my previous emails and forgot to schedule her. Hopefully they take better care of your dogs than they do their customers.

My dog loves going to daycare at Villa la Paws! Highlights: The staff! You can tell they really care about the dogs and are excited whenever a new pup comes in for the day. Even my dog who has some serious separation anxiety is racing in and jumping into the arms of his favorite 'counselors' in the morning. Sometimes at pickup a staffer will even show me a photo or video they took of my dog doing something cute during the day which is super nice! Around Valentine's day they had some cute valentines to send home too which was adorable. They have great hours! 7am-7pm on weekdays which is perfect if your work hours are outside the 9-5 range. Pick up and drop off is pretty quick too (if you buy a multi-day daycare package it's even quicker). The ability to look at your dog on a camera definitely puts your mind at ease knowing you can check up on them and see what they're up to. Sometimes I'm curious and check in to see him playing, lounging around, or being pet by one of the counselors (nothing too exciting but that's also that's what you hope for). Overall I would definitely recommend using Villa la Paws!

This is what you can expect from Villa la Paws!

Villa la Paws provides personalized safe daycare and boarding. We board our dog here without reservation. I was introduced to Villa through a friend who takes her boxer here and at first I rolled my eyes that they took him to a doggie daycare. We made an unexpected trip to see friends and needed a place to board Ace (he was only just the age required to board). When I called to see how he was doing, I received great information. We have taken him here ever since! I'll admit I was glued to the webcams in the beginning, but quickly realized the care and attention provided to the dogs throughout the day. Having the option to check in whenever I want when he is at daycare or when he boards is awesome! This is the place we recommend to anyone with a dog, near and far. Ace needs daily physical and mental stimulation & Villa la Paws provides him with both! Our dog LOVES going here to see the other dogs AND the staff. Once I mention Villa la Paws or drive up with my dog, he is wagging his tail in excitement! There have been times, after he sees me, that he runs back to staff in excitement. Villa is a place he enjoys. The great thing is they are attentive to your concerns as well because they are concerned about the safety and comfort of your dog. Villa La Paws is clean too! We regularly bring our dog here for daycare. They are community minded and inclusive. Mike makes sure they are active participants in the community through their charitable work. It is important to note they are quick and forthcoming when it comes to communicating any changes in your dog's behavior, illnesses or reported symptoms among the dogs. They expect owners to do the same. This is important to minimize illness among the dogs. With Villa la Paws, their are no surprises (unless you count a cute picture of your pup)! If you are not sure, bring your dog in, they regularly conduct temperament tests and will ease your pup in with dogs similar in size and even take into consider young and old dogs. Everything is well planned. Villa la Paws treats you and your pet like family! Highly recommend!!

I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience at Camp Bow Wow in Cherry…read moreHill, NJ. As a dog owner, I was expecting a fun and safe environment for my pup to socialize and get some exercise. Unfortunately, my expectations were shattered. We scheduled and were accepted for an interview which our fur baby met expectations. The staff was friendly and professional. When I dropped off my dog, I was greeted with enthusiasm. The staff seemed very interested in caring for my dog's needs. I was then advised that I needed to pay for a two-day stay at a discounted rate before they would agree to accept her for boarding. No problem, I did that with much excitement because we believed we had found a wonderful place for our baby. On the first day of her stay, I was informed by the owner that our baby got into a scuffle with another dog but that it was ok. She then advised me of their three strikes and you're out policy. Our baby came home that day tired and a little unlike herself, but we assumed it was because she played so much and had a fun day. The second day, I received a call that our baby had attacked a sleeping dog, and it was captured on video. I was then advised we would discuss her ability to be boarded once I picked her up that day. I was in disbelief because that didn't even sound like our baby, but there was video proof, so it must be accurate. I mean, the owner of a reputable establishment would not lie. Well, in my opinion, that is exactly what she did. I arrived with my 10-year-old daughter to pick up our baby and was eager to see the video. We witnessed a dog who was not asleep as led to believe and our dog being startled and therefore defending herself by barking and then attempting to fight back after being sprayed with a water hose. We were then informed in a sheepish and unprofessional manner that this facility would not be able to board our dog as previously agreed upon. The reason we were given was that our dog starred at a geriatric dog (the sleeping dog she allegedly attacked) in a suspicious way and that because our rescue dog was not with us for at least three months they could not board her. Now, in full disclosure, I wanted to write this review because I was very upset that I felt that Camp Bow Wow, wasted my time and just wanted me to pay for a two-day stay. I find that I was upset because they did not diligently review our intake paperwork, wasted my time, and scammed me for a two-day stay. If they do not board rescue dogs who haven't been with their owners for less than three months, why was our baby interviewed in the first place as this appears to go against Camp Bow Wow's policy? I clearly stated on the intake paperwork that we had only had her since March. After this stressful day, I was now faced with finding another facility to house our baby because we were going out of town for my graduation. I eventually did find a wonderful place and could not be happier with how they are caring for our baby, more about them in another post!!! I would not recommend Camp Bow Wow in Cherry Hill to anyone. The facility has too many dogs which is ripe for aggression. This experience has taught me that my dog needs fewer dogs, a more loving environment, and an attentive staff who understands that while dogs are our family members they are still dogs. I appreciate having a negative experience with Camp Bow Wow because it allowed me to see what my dog needed. It allowed me to find her home away from home. I have found such a place, again more about that in a post to follow. I hope my review helps.

My dog Chewy loves coming here! We're still new (2weeks!) so can't give quite the perfect 5 stars…read moreyet as I've only tried the doggy daycare services.. but so far so good! We just moved to New Jersey from Hawaii and we had loved our previous doggy daycare! So of course i want what's best for my fur baby! He's the kind of dog that has lots of energy and just constantly wants to play. With both me and my husband working, and plus the Jersey weathers where we can't always fulfill his needs.. this was is the perfect place for him! He gets to socialize, run around and play with other dogs all day! And we travel a lot so they also take care of boarding him too. Plus the services such as baths and nail trims etc are a plus. Be prepared to go through a little doggy interview first which takes about 3 hours. Within this time, you can tour the facility and ask any questions you have. They put together a folder too for you to take with. Then your fur baby goes through the interview process where they just introduce him/her to a dog, then another dog and then a few more dogs to introduce them slowly to see how they interact. How they interact with and without toys just to see if they will tolerate being in a group. I wasn't worried because he used to go to a previous doggy daycare before. But it's just standard procedure and for the safety of the dogs. A big plus for the interview, is your doggy can take full advantage of the daycare for free that first day! You can view your dogs through their cameras through either their website or through their app. So it's very convenient. Only thing I miss is when compared to the last doggy daycare we went too.. they had more obstacles and things to play with to keep them busy. But my dog has always come back tired.. so I'm not really complaining haha! So far so good and all the staff has been really nice! Will continue bringing Chewy!

We recently added a Goldendoodle puppy to our family and needed to find a great groomer that wouldn't shave her bald or give her a weird haircut like some groomers do with doodles. We have a black lab who doesn't get groomed other than nail trims, so I researched extensively for a groomer that could suit our doodles needs and keep her looking as fluffy and adorable as possible. I had seen many people in our town mention online how much they loved Show Dog Grooming so I decided to look into taking Zoey there. With 5 star reviews from happy customers across the board, as well as many pictures they had posted on Facebook of their grooming style, I knew Show Dog would be a no brainer. Our puppy is only 4 months old, so this was her first grooming experience. She was greeted with smiles and open arms and instantly shown love from Scott and his groomers. After discussing how I wanted her cut, I left Zoey and was told I'd be called when she was done. About 3 hours later, Scott sent me a picture of my adorable pup, groomed and decked out in Christmas gear! She looked perfect. He wanted to make sure I was happy with how she was cut and I certainly was. I came to pick her up and brought my Lab for the ride. Scott was also kind enough to squeeze in a nail trim for him without an appointment! Our Lab hates getting his nails cut, but their love and affection made his experience as easy as possible. I'm so happy to have found a kind, compassionate, and skilled groomer who truly loves dogs and their work. It's comforting to leave your fur babies in the hands of those who treat your dogs as their own. We can't wait to come back!
