They allow bullies to stay on the Women's Volleyball league and A-level competitive players to play against less-experienced players (B/BB, C, D-levels) in 1 co-rec league. It causes alot of court/game problems regarding positions and cohesiveness to play together safely. I was on the Winter/January 2024 VB league and experienced negative incidents from female players. As a long-standing BB/B level VB player, I bring my positive attitude in playing with teams and mates but many players don't share the same standards. I was born legally 65% deaf and my disability often confuses people since I can't engage in normal conversation, often mistakenly read as being anti-social. Everyone in leagues I play on are alerted about my hearing disability. 1/29/2024: teammate Donna (same team Spike-N-Spice, captain Brandy Valentine) cowardly pushed/jabbed my back from behind during a game. I was caught off-guard considering she and I have never had problems, but I sensed anomisity from her the beginning. No avail as to why. Recollecting myself, I ignored her cowardly aggresssiveness and continued playing with proper sportmanship. She never explained to me why she pushed me nor did I ask her and I couldn't trust her anymore. Captain Brandy chose to not act upon this assault, and I took myself off the team. I emailed Dundee Township managment providing full incident details. Tammy Greco, Superintendent of Rec, contacted me back only saying general words of "Thank you for sharing your feelings, it's been addressed." There were no resolutions given to me as to the outcome of Donna's bad behavior. This incident wasn't based on "feelings", it was based on a physical assault per videotapes. Since the township choose to not act, I don't feel safe to continue coming here, assured that behavior like this won't be allowed.

He has attended goalie training here for several summers and the programming is decent and worth a look if your player needs some extra lessons. My only complaint is that the facility staff is not friendly and welcoming. They're not mean or rude, but they seem disinterested when asked questions. Once I was on my computer at one of the tables in the front and the custodian literally scoffed at me when I mentioned that I would put my chair up after I was done. I guess he wanted to have all the chairs up before his shift ended. Even with the lack of service, we'll be back.

Their gymnasium has been hosting the excellent, inclusive and affordable Waukegan Park District ATA (American Taekwondo Association) / Whitehead's Martial Arts classes led by the passionate and friendly Chief Master Rick Whitehead 8th Degree Black Belt Chief Instructor and his customer-oriented Black Belt 3rd degree instructors. Based on facts, this is the one of best karate schools in the northern west suburb of Chicago. Two Tiger classes have been offered for kids on Saturday morning. There is also a Leadership program class for Black Belts on Monday night. You can also participate in ATA tournaments. Krav Maga and other self-defense techniques (Jujitsu, etc.) have been taught in parallel with the Taekwondo curriculum. The students, who are at least eighteen years old, have volunteering opportunities at this martial art school. It has been easy to park on the parking lot.

Also, the instructors for the class are extremely unprepared and disorganized. There is no advancement of skills and not much correction or instruction at all. Just the same things every week. I talked to the supervisor over the phone and nothing was really resolved; just stated there would be "additional training for instructors and lifeguards". Give me a break. Two children almost died in this class and that's all there was to say. Again, do not sign your child up for swim class here.

Once inside, there are slides for children, teens, and adults. I saw plenty of lifeguards and life jackets, ensuring everyone's safety. The bathrooms are reasonably clean, with private showers. There are plenty of chairs for everyone to lounge in after leaving the water. The facility is family friendly.

However, once we got here, I just didn't want to deal with huge crowds. I used my Yelp app and found this hidden gem! It was not crowded at all. It was likely all local families. This was probably my favorite day of the vacation. We hung out for a few hours and this really nice aquatic center and then stopped at Jewel on the way back to the hotel and picked up some food -had a picnic back in the room. A really nice venue -I'm sure much nicer than crazy Key Lime Cove (who wants to be indoors on a beautiful summer day?) I felt like I was truly on vacation at a luxury resort. Funny what 35 miles out of the city can do for your spirit!
