Came here for breakfast. The food and the service were both fantastic, and the atmosphere was top notch - feels like you're dining outside even though you're in the enormous air conditioned atrium. The only thing preventing 5 stars is that the breakfast buffet - while delicious with huge variety - is just not a good value. $34 for adults and $17 for kids. I also had a small $12 mimosa. But if money is no object - you will love this breakfast.

My daughter and her significant other invited me to go out for brunch this morning at Villa de Flora. Self park is $30 but the restaurant will validate your parking ticket. We only had to wait two minutes to be seated at 9:30 am on a Sunday. We were seated out in the open with a view of the atrium and all the hotel balconies which was cool while the buffet was only a few steps away. The selections of entrees and sides was extensive. There was a huge fruit bar and separate pastry bar besides the main entrees. And there was a cook to prepare your custom cooked order. We all made multiple trips and loaded up on all the breakfast goodies. I had scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and one biscuit with gravy. We all agreed the eggs were a tad undercooked. Everything else tasted great. My daughter got some fruit and a cup of yogurt to start off then hit the main items. She said the grits were runny but the pancakes were perfect. I thought the bacon was excellent and some of the best ever I've had. I went back for some of the small pastries and liked them so much I went back for seconds.

Im glad i found a place in the Gaylord open early for a " mostly" carnivore breakfast! Limited selection, but everything was fresh and flavorful.

Our family had a wonderful time during dinner! Food and our waitress was the best! She went out of her way to make my son's day with a cup of ice cream! Loved sitting under thr outdoor lights and got to see the hotel light show! Best buffet out there!! Till next summer!

Inside of the Gaylord Hotel, this is a buffet style restaurant. The ambiance is nice and the service was very good. It's on the pricey side and the food is good, good variety of Mediterranean food, not outstanding.

Villa de Flora is a stunning, aesthetically pleasing buffet-style restaurant in the heart of Gaylord Palms. The "outdoor" dining ambiance alone warrants a return visit. Quotations because it's not actually outdoors. Close your eyes and you'll think you are! We've eaten here every time we've stayed at Gaylord Palms; whether for brunch or dinner. The service we received this weekend was up to par of past experiences. Same goes for the cuisine served. Mostly, it's coming to grips with the sticker price. $32 for adults and $17 for kids during brunch, $50 for adults for dinner. Are you paying for ambiance or quality of food? I'd probably be less hard on a place if the dollar value was significantly less. But when you have a group of 8, things add up quickly, and there's nothing wrong with wishing to being blown away food-wise. Night one we dined for dinner. The buffets aren't self-serve anymore, or at least during COVID as I pen this review. We started with meats, cheeses, breads and accoutrements. All in all, pretty solid. For mains, the carving station made an appearance. I felt the steak to be overdone, but the flavors were there. Brunch was also pretty good. The servers at each corresponding station fill up your plates with whatever your heart desires. I was feeling eggs, bacon, potatoes and sausage. Little packets of sauce are available from the staff. Unlimited refills of coffee. All crowd pleasing, but not worth the price tag. Like I alluded to earlier, Gaylord Palms has created an atmosphere unlike any hotel I've been to. And maybe that's why it's so expensive. But I'd be remiss if I didn't point out I could find better eats for at least half the price within a few miles. The convenience of rolling out bed into Villa de Flora is magical. We all know convenience is king. But damn, I'd be broke and hung out to dry if I made this a frequent occurrence!

All I could do was smile as I ate my lunch, knowing I have an amazing bbq spot so close to me. 3. The corn nuggets were SO GOOD and SO comforting. Crispy, sweet, and perfect. I eyed the menu before going, and these caught my eye immediately. They did not disappoint. I can't wait to have them again! 4. The sauces were FIRE. The sweet and the crimson were perfect to us. 5. Who doesn't like 80s Rock and Roll?! Its one of those places that make you feel at home. The location is perfect, as well. Lakefront is a great place to dily dally while you digest the deliciousness. The husband said his bagel sandwich was good, not great and could be better if the egg was seasoned. He loved his coffee. My mocha latte was good, could be better if the ratio of the chocolate was increased just a smidgen. But I was absolutely blown away by the Spanish avocado toast! What a delicious combination of quality Spanish chorizo, guacamole, boiled egg slices and onions! It was hands down the best thing I've had for breakfast in years! Offered the husband a bite and he concurred. If not for anything else, we'd definitely return for just this one dish. LOL! Highly recommend trying the Spanish avocado toast at Buchito. There are plenty of places to take cute Instagram pictures. However, that does not help the overall score of the rest of the experience. When we first arrived, we were instructed to review the menu at a seat-yourself station and then return to the front to place our order. There were some interesting and tasty-looking options to pick from. Unfortunately, I was a bit perplexed by the pricing on the menu versus what came up on the cash register. I ordered the Mixed Berries Crepes with Nutella ($11), and I was going to order a Strawberry Boba for $5, but instead my total was nearing $25 dollars?? The pricing did not match the menu. The cash register didn't seem very friendly. When I noticed my crepe read "Banana/Strawberry" instead of Mixed Berry. I clarified I was getting the correct order. She told me, "Yes, yes." (Spoil alert: I did not get the mixed berries but instead a Strawberry and Banana Crepe...) I paid, and then took the little marker flag with a number they give you so the waitresses can find the correct table to deliver the orders to. My coworker and I waited in the back for our orders. Although we ordered back-to-back, the orders were fulfilled at different intervals. When my order finally arrived, the waitress was looking for the right table to deliver it to. I raised my hand and said it was my order. She looked at me with scrutiny as if I were lying to her. ( What was the point of the flag marker with the number then, if you're uncertain of the order???) My crepe was pretty, but overall, it was okay in flavor and taste. It wasn't very hot, though, and was lukewarm. I would give the crepe a 3 out of 5 stars. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't anything I'd come running back for. The staff wasn't the friendliest and seemed confused and disorganized. I would not come back here again.
