Gabriel and Jimena gave us excellent recommendations and the deck is to die for! I really felt like I was in the Greek islands. The room is luxurious but cozy at the same time, and the hotel makes a real effort to make you feel like you're at home. When our driver from Rio canceled on us prior to our Buzios departure, Jimena went above and beyond to secure a new driver for us. Thank you for an amazing stay- and if you are staying in Buzios, don't look further than this hotel!

We just had our wedding at Tawa Beach (the attached private beach club) and it was absolutely amazing. We could not have been happier with the service we got from Insolito. We, along with family and several friends, all stayed at Insolito and universally loved it. The hotel has such character with each room having a unique design and artwork. Furthermore, the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. The anticipated our needs and wants in too many ways to event list. Just one example is that when my wife and I we walking back to our room after the wedding around midnight, we saw two housekeeping staff on our balcony. Turns out they were waiting for us to leave the venue and had come to fill up the private hottub on the balcony put rose petals on the water. We didn't ask for or arrange this, it was just one of many nice touches from the hotel. Also, excluding free breakfasts, I almost never eat in a hotel restaurant, finding them to usually be over priced and under good. This was the opposite. The food was amazing and while the prices may be high for Brazil, they were very low for a global 5 star hotel. 100% would go again and recommend to anybody. The only potential issue is that if anyone has trouble with stairs (i.e. elderly or wheelchair bound) the hotel can be a bit difficult with accessibility given all the stairs. However, the staff will go out of their way to assist so its not impossible.

I come to buzios at least once a year, I've explored hotels in the region extensively. I am a bit disappointed with Insolitos. We had a suite with our own private "jacuzzi". The bubbles that a jacuzzi should normally do did not work. The jacuzzi itself is made of mosaic tales which make it very uncomfortable. The water in the showers was not hot enough. The bed was a bit too hard for my taste, felt like a judo mattress hehe. In the room there is not a single general information book. The restaurant menu is not available at the rooms and there is no refrigerated mini bar - cmon we are in a place as hot as 40C in summer and we can't have fresh water available from a mini bar. They have "given" to the guests a plastic bag which for the price of the room we thought was a gift, specially when was nothing written about the contrary. They claimed the plastic bag back once we were checking out. We felt very ashamed for that specially the way it was exposed to us. I would strongly advice the management to leave a note about this specific "gift". Don't be in a hurry for check-out it took us 45 minutes!!!! Which delayed our next appointment. Besides that, there was a mistake on our reservation and the service in general was not great, except for the breakfast. I would recommend you to go somewhere else. We are definitely not coming back. Apart from that, Buzios is a wonderful city. I will continue to explore their boutique hotel scene.

I felt care from the staff at the gorgeous Perola Hotel from my very first step inside! The lobby was beautifully done & the staff was professional and helpful, above and beyond expectations! The facility had everything I needed to fully enjoy Buzios. The pool had lovely lounge with service that was approachable--Even an area for kids to play. Guests were sociable yet, not invasive. The relaxed atmosphere lent to spending the hottest part of the day under the tiki-covered beds and taking in the gorgeous view while being protected from the sun. Complimentary afternoon coffee & tea was a sweet touch too! The restaurant served some of the the best meals I had in Brazil! A proper breakfast started my day via BRUNCH BUFFET!!! This is a commodity in Buzios!!! I felt welcomed and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and dietary needs. There was a separate club for poker players which was modern gaming and a second bar. Great for those wanting to try there luck-- Yet discrete, not interfering with the families who may stay at the hotel. Truly, this is a great place to enjoy Buzios and it was not crowded! A gem of a find! The beaches and town are easily accessible. Feel the warmth of the people of Brazil today!!!
