Automec Brazil 2025 from 1pm to 9pm daily, trying to find good food nightly after 10pm wasn't easy…read more Last night of the expo for us and our first choice was an authentic looking Omakase shop serving a menu @ $150/person, but did not accept reservations and none were available when we arrived . With the 2nd largest population of Japanese, about 2 million, outside of Japan, we thought the sushi in Sao Paulo would be pretty good. We found this local place that didn't close until 12am and was also rated highly by thousands of "Googlers". Due to our inability to speak Portuguese, we ordered by choosing from photos in the menu and using Google translate to confirm our selections with our server. We ordered the sushi - sashimi for 2 and 2 Coke zeros. Our server was polite and tried his best to accommodate us, but in the end, the photos speak for themselves. Our assorted sushi - sashimi platter for 2 consisted of 100% salmon. Totally unlike the items shown in the menu photo. Not particularly flavorful or skillfully prepared, sliced dispassionately. We did not order anything else thereafter. The Coke zeros were frosty and perfect straight from the can. Must concede that about $40 USD, all-in, for salmon and soda was fair. We thanked our server, promptly paid our bill and proceeded directly to the nearby 24 hour McDonald's.
