good food choices...have ever different options in food choices. also have Taho. They have beer and wine. The dessert offers different choices with braso de mercedes, my favorite.

It was a payday week and one of my closest friend's birthdays. He told me that he wanted to avail of Viking's birthday promotion, in which a celebrant can eat free if he dines with one paying adult a day before, on and after his birthday. It was a brilliant promotion! Premium fine dining buffet for two for the price of one! Except his birthday fell on black Friday, so we needed to reschedule the next week, (which means we can't avail of the Birthday Promo anymore), but before we lost hope, we were made aware that we can still avail of the "Birthday Month Promo" in which the celebrant can eat for free if he is dines with four paying adults (so thanks to our other officemates who joined us). We were able to eat like Vikings, their cuisine seemed endless and food available was like a trip around the world. Delicacies include lamb chops, pecking duck, steaks, pasta, pizza, sushi, desserts, imported cheeses, beverages and so much more. All were exquisite and classy from the venue, staff and of course the meal was just exceptional!

Complaint Against Buffet 101 Glorietta 2 (Dine at your own risk)…read more This is to share our very disappointing experience at Buffet 101 Glorietta 2 during our family gathering on December 26, 2025 (lunch, 11:30 AM - 3:30PM). We were a group of 28 pax, celebrating our Christmas party, our late grandmother's death anniversary, December birthday celebrators, and a family reunion. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a joyful occasion turned into a frustrating and disrespectful experience due to the following: 1. Reservation Issue * We reserved the function room as early as November 11, 2025, with a 50% downpayment as required. * Prior to payment, my sister personally visited on Nov 10 and was ushered by 2 staff members to the function room. I also rechecked the venue the next day before making the payment. * I even received a call on Dec 25th to confirm our reservation in the function room. * Despite these, upon arrival on Dec 26, the receptionist claimed our reservation had no endorsement for the function room. We had to explain and insist, and only after waiting 10-15 minutes were we accommodated--because another group was already occupying the room we reserved. 2. Food Quality * While advertised as "unlimited refill," several food stations were incomplete. * Items like pork belly were served cold, and some stations had missing dishes, which was disappointing for a buffet of this caliber. 3. Birthday Presentation Mismanagement * Around 1:30-2 PM, staff offered the customary birthday sing-and-dance for our three celebrators. We agreed, expecting it to happen promptly. * Instead, staff delayed, setting up equipment but never performing. This wasted our scheduled time for parlor games, forcing us to cancel the presentation altogether. 4. Food Restock Cut-Off * At 2:30 PM, staff informed us that food restocking would end at 2:45 PM. We acknowledged this and thanked the member who informed us. * At 2:40 PM, I settled the remaining balance and even gave a tip--something I regretted after what happened next. 5. The Blackout Incident * At 3:10 PM., the lights in our function room were "unintentionally" turned off. Not for a second, but for several minutes. One by one, we went outside. * Only our room was affected, creating chaos as family members scrambled to gather belongings using phone flashlights. * Adding insult to injury, my brother lost ₱500, during the blackout. 6. Poor Handling & Lack of Compensation * Some of the relatives confronted the staff and manager in the lobby. The staff member/cashier responsible admitted it was "unintentional". The manager kept on repeating the same explanation as the cashier's, who switched off the lights, but never offered even a single good resolution. It seemed to us that he offered the staff member as the bait. They apologized, but the apology felt insincere. * When asked about compensation, the manager and staff fell silent. No courtesy check was done before switching off the lights, and no concrete resolution was offered. Additionally, no proper channels are available for such incidents except for platforms such as their Facebook page, Google Reviews, and TripAdvisor. * We remained diplomatic and respectful, with no cussing, but the lack of accountability was unacceptable! This experience left our entire family frustrated, disrespected, and disappointed. What should have been a day of celebration was ruined by poor management, lack of professionalism, and negligence. We sincerely hope Buffet 101 Glorietta 2 takes this as a lesson to improve customer service, reservation handling, food quality, and staff accountability. Families come to your establishment to celebrate milestones--please ensure they leave with happy memories, not frustration. And as I told your staff members that day: "If you were in our shoes, having fun and celebrating with your family members, how would you feel if the lights were suddenly turned off without warning? How would that make you feel?"

The first morning I had silog with tamarind chicken and pork asada, and lots of crispy Danggit! The congee was amazing! U added every topping possible plus fresh calamansi juice! Also had lychee chia pudding one morning and blueberry the next. The lycée was absolutely delicious! We consumed heaps of the most delicious dragon fruit. Now onto the pastries!! One morning they had bread and butter pudding squares and the other morning they had taisan bread. Both were so scrumptious!! Our server Harven was a delight! Friendly, got us warm milk, and answered my 6 million questions! We also took pictures in the back patio that overlooked Laguna de Bay. Beautiful views in every direction. They also had pineapple and mango jam! New jam flavors to me that were delicious on my cream cheese filled French toast. My husband also tries the miso ramen and the fresh salad with a great sesame dressing. In other words, we ate everything, everyone was so friendly and the views are incredible.

Though it operates as a rooftop bar and restaurant, they also offer buffet breakfast for in-house guests. FOOD: 3/5 The overall food selection was quite limited, primarily a mix of Filipino, American, Chinese and other International dishes. The food was decent but could have been better overall. SERVICE: 5/5 I noticed that most of the servers were male while a few female staff at the food counter. Regardless, all of them were attentive, polite, and efficient. AMBIANCE: 4/5 Being at the rooftop, the restaurant provides a full view of the city. I can only imagine how much more stunning these views at night with the city lights. It also features a mini pool - not for use but aesthetically for decor which I believe needs a little polishing and renovation. Overall, the buffet breakfast at The Nest did its job - it fill us up in the morning, though I wished there was a wider selection. And I take my hats off to the staff at The Nest - their service were on point!

Two words: UNLIMITED TEMPURA!…read more I'm not that big a fan of Japanese and Korean food but I love buffets so I'm kind of 50/50 with this place. But I've always been intrigued because of the throng of people lining up for their turn and making reservations there. It must be because of all the birthday promos, I thought. My family never thought of eating there because we were all trying to diet and we felt that we couldn't get our money's worth. In short, lugi kami. But I eventually got to try it and I must say, I had a fantastic time. The place was packed as expected, but the buffet was more organized than I imagined. The area was quite spacious so I didn't encounter any disorderly queue that I was scared of. And the food! My husband (the meat lover and expert griller at home) enjoyed the teppanyaki and the katsus, I filled my plate(s) with an assortment of makis and desserts (Korean ice cream! Crepe!) and all of us went crazy for the prawn tempura. We had a lot of competition in that area, but that's okay because they refill the tempura basket every ten minutes, I think. Freshly cooked tempura dipped in piping hot tempura sauce. Awesome! So I finally understood why Sambo Kojin in SM Southmall is always packed. It's not just about the birthday promos. But then again, there's nothing wrong with availing those deals. I wouldn't mind spending my birthday or any other occasion there too.

Finally got to…read moretry it when we celebrated three birthdays just a few days apart in the family, so we were able to avail of the birthday promo (a birthday celebrant is free, as long as he/she brings one paying guest. The celebrant also gets a small cake with candle, and a birthday song from the staff - that was fun!.) Sambo Kojin offers unlimited Japanese food - and not just so-so Japanese food, but delicious Japanese food with a quality you would pay for in other restaurants when dining a la carte. From a rainbow of sushi to the deep-fried goodness of prawn and vegetable tempuras, and from street food like takoyaki to classic family dishes like sukiyaki, and of course, grilled meat, fish, seafood, and veggies, there is just so much to try. While the food has a lot of variety, the number of choices are not really overwhelming unlike in other larger buffets, so I got to savor all the dishes I wanted to try. What I was looking for was ramen, though. While they have hot and cold noodles, they didn't really have ramen, but I can forgive that as ramen preparation seems to be really detailed and exacting, and many restaurants specialize on it. I was also hoping for some really good Japanese desserts, like mochi, but there were mostly cakes with a sweetness that is just right (the Japanese don't seem to have a very sweet tooth, or at least, that's what I gathered from the Japanese I've met). I love the green tea ice cream, though - there's the taste of the green tea, and the ice cream is not so sweet. The peach mango crepe I tried has a slight medicine taste to it - perhaps, it's because of the brand of the canned/pre-packed fruits they use.

If I remember correctly, we ate there twice both days 2/16 & 2/17 and it was wonderful. We loved the first time we had breakfast there and came back the next morning before we had to fly out to Boracay. I've been to a lot of breakfast buffets in the US and both the food quality and service from the employees working here can't even compare. Kate (Katie?) and Mono were on top of everything and seem to know right away if we needed any assistance of any question. I merely stood by the egg station for a few seconds waiting to be helped and Mono saw me, walked over right away and got someone to help me from over the counter so I wouldn't have to wait long. Lots of warm smiles and the employees working during the times we dined. They seem to have the genuine drive and initiative to make sure every guest is taken care of and antennas are raised to help guests at a moments notice. Food quality was also high for a buffet. With some vegetables sourced from Baguio, several selections of freshly juiced fruits/vegetables and quality sourced ingredients from all over Philippines. It was not your usual breakfast buffet spread. I would not hesitate to dine there again for breakfast and would want to try their lunch/dinner buffet if the experience will still be the same. Clean, 5-star service and food quality, it's def one of my top picks for breakfast.
