    Bison Fence

This company was hired by my neighbor to install a fence. My neighbor notified me that that Bison…read moreFence employees would install a fence on her property. My neighbor never indicated Bison Fence workers would be on my property. Also, no one from the fence company made a request to enter our property. On September 24, they drove a tractor type vehicle with an auger over our driveway multiple times to gain access to the side yard. Also, the driver of Bison Fence drove over our sprinkler heads. He drove directly down the middle as well as up and down the side of our lawn in order to dig fence holes with the auger. (On the opposite side of our neighbor's property, they hand dug all those holes since accessing their yard would have required driving over bushes). Of course it saved time for them to trespass on our lawn and use heavy machinery to quicken their work. Their heavy equipment tires sunk into our lawn creating deep depressions and holes from the front to the back of our entire lawn running about 50 feet in length. Since the grass is thick, some of the depressions can't be visualized in photos. When walking on the tire tracks, we can feel the elevation difference of several inches. We have many photographs to show the damage. Additionally, they claimed they called the 811 number specifically before digging holes. I called the 811 and a representative advised there was no utility locate request made to them ever for our neighbors' address. Tyler with the company confirmed there were no paint markings for red (electricity) or yellow (gas) on the ground and I didn't see any markings for utilities. After digging all the holes near my property and all or most of the holes on the opposite side, and after his coworker started digging below the gas meter, he offered to call 811 to get a utility locate done. A manager with Intermountain Gas said it is not uncommon for fence companies to hit gas lines. With these employees of this company being so reckless, they may have already broken quite a few lines. Given these two issues with Bison Fence, one regarding trespass and the other about digging without utility markings it seems to be a risky business to hire them for anyone due to the high probability of property damage.

Bison Fence installed over 200 feet of 6' welded wire fence around a group of 5 mature trees to…read moreserve as a supplemental chicken foraging area attached to the existing run and coop. They used substantial 9' steel poles set 2'-3' in concrete and added predator proof hardware cloth around the bottom few feet, extending 18" below ground to deter predators. They were quick, professional and responsive, and invested in making it a well-built and attractive fence. Price was reasonable for the work and materials that went into it. I found them all to be personable, energetic, and with great attitudes and work ethic. I am very happy with the fence and am excited to let "the girls" out as soon as I get an aviary net over it. I anticipate using this company again and would recommend them in a heartbeat to others.
