They do an exceptional job of showing you around the vineyard, answering questions and explaining their methods and grapes. The tasting itself is also wonderful. I found that I really liked several of their wines and their port. The charcuterie and cheese plate was very good; it was accompanied with bread and jellies made from their wines. The wines are reasonably priced. We each took home 6 bottles, saving an additional 6%. With the CA exchange rate, it was an exceptional deal. They do grape squashing in September. I meant to try and come back and volunteer, but ended up too busy. Next year! I'll bring friends back. This place is worth frequenting.

We grabbed some charcuterie, cheese, and 2 flights and made a beeline for a table in the shade. Everything was delicious and we ended up grabbing 2 bottles with us to go (sparkling orange and sparkling red). They didn't have the sparkling orange as a taster but my favorite from the tasting line up had to be the sparkling red, which was delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day. They also offer a 45 minute wine tasting session, which we didn't have time for but looking forward to coming back and exploring this wine trail.

They gave us many small tastes for free. As many as one wanted. They also had various bourbon wines, 2 ice wines and multiple other wines (reds and whites). Tastings were in the front room. No food for sale. I didn't get any pictures since it was so chaotic and late in the day. We bought several bottles to take back. After enjoying at home we wished that we bought more. This was our last winery and our luggage was getting full.

At each stop we also heard the actual tasting prices -- $6 at the distillery and $10 at the cider place -- which made us question what we were really paying for. We could have done the same tour ourselves for about $30 per person. The guides were very friendly, but overall the experience didn't match the cost or expectations.

As soon as I stepped in the door I was greeted by friendly employees with a smile. My waitress was very prompt to ask me what I wanted, etc. I ordered the petit fish and fries simply because I had never eaten here so I did not want to order too much food. I should've ordered more, because the fish and fries were excellent. The portion size was good for the price. The food came out quickly, hot, and tasted fresh. Normally I do not even eat tartar sauce but I tried it here and I actually enjoyed it. I will definitely be making a trip back to this restaurant and recommend it to anyone. This was some of the best fish I've had in a very long time. They were so gracious and gave us such a wonderful tasting experience. We learned about the inception of the wine, the production process and how the unique options are conceived. What do I mean by "unique options"? Well in addition to some well balanced but fruit forward standards such as raspberry wine, strawberry wine or apple rhubarb you will also find squash wine, tomato wine (yup, you read that right) and dandelion wine (which I LOVED). Not far off I-55/ I-10 (15 min) this country farm offers wine tastings ($4.00) as well as a an education on wine making. We were there on a quiet summer weekday afternoon and it was just that, quiet and beautiful country. The 6 samplings of the wine tasting was fun and we were happy to pick up a few bottles to bring home to try with a fine homemade meal.
