After several initial appointments consisting of only 30 minute lectures on how we have to vaccinate our infant, we got tired of the beratement (to vaccinate) and we decided to seek out other pediatricians in the area. My children have been going to this doctor since we moved to Florida, and we could not be happier. We actually moved out of the Melbourne area to Orlando, yet we make the drive to still continue to have Surfside pediatrics care for our children if they ever need it, and for yearly physicals etc. I highly recommend! As far as the COVID-19 protocol at this center, it is absolutely on par with what I wish every business would do, medical or not. They have sanitizer sitting out for all the patients and guests or visitors, they are requiring masks, and they require social distancing as well

For some reason I read that the front office staff had been accused of insincere treatment and being cold to patients. I found everyone to be quite the opposite and very friendly and helpful. We hadn't seen Dr. Mallon since my daughter was very young, but was pleased that she was still practicing and we got in to see her. Turns out my daughter developed walking pneumonia and she was able to get on lower dose antibiotics right away. Dr. Mallon didn't remember my daughter bc like I said it's been close to a decade I think since they last saw each other. But she treated her as warmly and kindly as a good friend of the family. Dr. Farid is an incredible doctor. My husband and I are both in the medical field and we were…read morereferred to him by several of our medical friends when we had children. My children have been patients of his for several years now. Our experience has been consistently excellent under the care of Dr. Farid and his staff. Dr. Farid actually listens to parent's concerns. He has always taken any worries that I have had for my children's health seriously. He has never dismissed me or made me feel invalidated. He always aligns himself with my concerns and tests my children thoroughly for any issues that we have had. One child, in particular, has had very complicated health issues and I have been dismissed and gaslighted by many very incompetent and negligent doctors that were considered specialists! Dr. Farid is one of the very few who actually cared, listened and tested my daughter for concerns expressed. He was so thorough in the tests and blood work that he ordered, that my daughter's endocrinologist expressed how impressed he was with Dr. Farid and his intelligence. He stated that in his 25 years of working in endocrinology with patients that he had only seen one other pediatrician order the tests correctly as Dr. Farid had! 99% of the time the labs are not ordered correctly or thoroughly enough. This endocrinologist assured me that Dr. Farid was FAR SUPERIOR to other pediatricians and it reaffirmed that my child was getting the best care as his patient. In this situation, it was Dr. Farid who discovered my daughter's issue and diagnosed her! He was able to actually figure out what was going on with her when so many other Specialists could not. If it hadn't been for Dr. Farid, my daughter would have been stuck suffering. Dr. Farid is a gift to BREVARD county. I am so thankful to him and his staff. You can rest assured your child will get the BEST care as his patient! I refer all of our friends and their children to him. You, as a parent, will be listened to. Your child, as a patient, will be cared for with incredible compassion and excellence! I give Dr. Farid my highest recommendation and consider him to be one of our family's greatest blessings.
