Great and unforgettably delicious experience. The place has been there for almost 40 years…read more The owner was there meeting guests and talking to the regulars. Ambience very cozy and casual. They have terrace, but we preferred to sit inside. As an aperitif they offer you a free cocktail of Fernet and coke. Nice touch. We ordered the Octopus, cooked a la Provençal. I suppose they have it frozen, it was soft, but you could felt that it was defrosted. So, I wouldn't recommend that dish especially for that price they charge - 450 local pesos which is like 30 US $... Fettuccini with seafood sauce was really rich and quite a large portion by the way. Very creamy, full of shrimps and scallops, delicious. And Lenguado (Sole) Roquefort - was super delicate, appetizing and dainty! Really a masterpiece - baked with a blue cheese sauce and twice baked mashed potatoes, very tender. The menu is vast and there are a lot of dishes that you'd want to try. So may be if you're in town for a while you might come back and try their other delights, like paella of the house, cazuela de mariscos, etc. I'm not sure if they have menu in English, by the way. And waiters hardly speak any English, but they seem to manage with the customers just fine. Quite good selection of wine, of course only from Argentina. And we were pleasantly surprised by very reasonable prices on the wine. If you're driving - than it's going to be a real problem to park. They don't have their parking of course, so we had to make few rounds to find a free spot along the street.

What an excellent dining experience. Here's their menu, "would you like beef or fish?". Based on…read moreyour response you will be served multiple dishes related to your entree, if you ordered fish, you will start with a steamed white fish in a fume sauce, then a scallop risotto, followed grilled corvina in a potato reduction, followed by a complex cheese tray with a verity of cheeses and fruit compotes. Finally a cream brûlée, all of it amazing. I love this place! Remember, beef or fish...

A pretty big amouse bouche from the kitchen is a fresh and flavorful ceviche. For starters i had smoked langustinos and they where very nice indeed but enough to share for two. For main i had ordered the oyo de bife medium. This was a big mistake as it came to the table well done and very dry. The waiter did take it back to the kitchen without argument and got me a new plate. The meat is however not that good, lacks flavor and not what i have come to expect from Argentinian beef. The steak comes with sweet, grilled cabbage that is nice. The wine list is pretty long and everyone should be able to find something that fits their taste. The bill is pretty reasonable but i would absolutely recommend to skip the meat dishes and try the seafood.
