That they are fully convincing in happily agreeing to do particular work that they do not have experience doing to say nothing of expertise. Purposefully misleading on any and every aspect of the job they will basically drag their feet on agreed deadlines because they are out of town chasing new contracts instead of tending to business they already have a check on. They will come in with the goal of taking every dollar of advertising money that they think they can wring from you. Once they have you They will undermine your confidence in your judgement and outright lie about the viability of your Old site so they can build you a shiny NEW site for more money. Basic one size fits all Wordpress template actually without bothering to check site content compatibility transfer or anything frankly. The "it will only take two days to build" site will be in its third week of birthing contractions by the time you realize it is actually died in uterine and is Dead On Arrival.
