The pricing was way too high for the amount of storage / shredding services they were contracted for (the contract was actually made with a company they ended up buying). When I had to request files, it took me a week to reach a human being, then it would take 4 - 7 days for arrival and they would arrive in dilapidated boxes, so I immediately began searching for other companies to meet our growing needs. it didn't take long to find multiple options that were far superior in customer service and pricing. I found our contract would be expiring soon so I started the 3-month long process of ending our account. very step was filled with form emails asking the same questions multiple times then claiming they never received a response (fortunately I was able to take the time to accumulate all of their emails and my responses, so they were no longer able to deny their incompetence) and claims that they "attempted to call" which was proven untrue multiple times. Finally, we received the "closing statement" charging our company over $1,700 just to have them gather the files on our inventory list and prepare them for pickup. We found it worth the price to end all services with Iron Mountain and paid the price (then had to provide proof of payment to a single employee 3 separate times). 3 weeks after our account ended, they gave us a date to pick up our files, which we did but found 21 boxes missing. The following day they emailed me to ask if we had picked up our files (no communication between departments) and I let them know about the missing files. They then claimed to have delivered them (shockingly this was not true), delivered a few a week later and a month after delivered a few more. They stated they had started an investigation for our "misplaced" files and now, 5 months after my first attempts to close our account, I have received notice that 2 boxes cannot be found but if they find them later, they will get them to us! I encourage you to look elsewhere for file storage, shredding, digitizing... They will damage and lose your files and endanger your professional reputation without a thought or the slightest inclination that their negligence should not come at a financial and social cost to your company. However, their phone tree is absolute garbage. The menu options keep sending me around in circles that take you back and forth between menu options you had just heard a minute ago. Absolute garbage. After slamming the number 0 in frustration until it took me to the operator, it just played hold music and read obnoxious hold messages to me for 15 minutes before I got tired of waiting. I really wish I could get a hold of this company to request some more of their shredding services, but the phones simply will not work.
