I found the staff here just as friendly and laid-back as the staff at the southern GR location. I'm really a fan of how they have their cards organized set by set. I could also tell that there's a decent amount of community support as the gaming tables started to fill up with folks playing MTG and other games. I still had plenty of room to sift through old cards and collectibles while other customers browsed or chatted with the staff. I felt the selection of collectible cards was more expansive at this location, and will definitely be back. Certainly, a very solid gaming/hobby shop.

We were obviously always going to check out this store, but what really drew us in was the ginormous (and handmade!! we came to find out) Detective Pikachu that was sitting in the window display! The owner was so kind and knowledgeable, giving us space to explore, but also inserting himself at the perfect moments to offer us some context on items we were looking at! You could really tell how passionate he is about his shop and there's nothing more I love in seeing in a small business! We chatted about that handmade Detective Pikachu, the adorable art on the walls featuring his own dog, and so much more! He was so considerate and just everything you want to see in a small business owner! The back half of this store is set up with tables for people to gather and play games, DND, what have you, and there was a group back there actively playing when we were in the store! I love seeing the community Backstage has fostered and brought together in downtown Manistee! Keep up the great work, Backstage! We'll be back any and EVERY time we're in the Manistee area!!!

Got a bunch of patches on sale and prices for games were $12-15 cheaper than normal. The Gaming Warehouse is more gamed based where they have tables set out where people can play at hosted events. Disc traders has CDs, figures, many second-hand devices but wide selection from iPads to calculators to gameboys to $700 curvy monitors. CDs for movies, VHS, playstation, xbox, but not much for DS imo (iso nintendo ds stuff). I was surprised as to how many games pookie got and the value. He got 3-4ds games, gameboy advance, 10 patches, and a switch game for $100. Got games like animal crossing for $42.99, harvest moon for $17.99, gameboy hames for $3.99 (but free because of buy 5 get 1 free promo), and a bunch of cute $1.20 patches. My legs fell asleep looking at patches. Probably in there for 30mins-1hr. :) folks (workers) were cool.
