We own a Spanish-style home in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles that was built by William Mulholland in 1929. Like a lot of homes from this time period (and this neighborhood), our floor plan featured the large hall bathroom that was intended to service the family bedrooms on one side (or floor) of the house, while a smaller bedroom had its own three quarter bath for the live-in help (which was generally on the first level or near the kitchen or utility room). When we bought our house, our son was five years old. Sharing the family bathroom was not a big deal back then, but as he got older, we decided we needed to reconfigure the space and create two new separate, and private ensuite bathrooms. One for our son's room, and one for the master bedroom. That's where Vidal Design Collaborative came in. We had initially thought we would have to expand the footprint of the house, but Karen and Guy quickly assured us that would not be the case. Karen, along with her team, came up with an amazing new floorplan that created the aforementioned ensuite bathrooms that fit within our existing walls (and budget). Not only did she manage to create the space by cannibalizing from other areas of the floorplan (yet still making each room feel open, airy and not too small), but her design matched and complimented the 1929 aesthetic and feeling of our home. From the windows, to the tile, to the cabinetry and pocket doors, Karen curated the space in such a manner that if William Mulholland were to walk through the house today, he'd believe it was all original... OR he might be a little upset he hadn't thought of VDC's design first. Karen, Guy and the rest of their team are extremely professional, thorough, courteous, and with you from start to finish. If you're looking for a designer that will respect and revere your home's storied past, while creating a new chapter that fits your family and their needs, look no further that VDC. read more

If you can move out of your house for an indefinite period of time and if you can write unlimited checks, this may be the company for you. The main thing to know about Vidal Design is that they are NOT a licensed contractor. This means two things: 1) Karen and Guy think the rules don't apply to them, so they'll wildly overpromise and underdeliver. 2) Under state law, you probably don't have to pay them a cent. (See California Business and Professional Code section 7031.) We started a job with them in 2021-- it finally ended in 2023. When we hired them we didn't understand that they were unlicensed. Once construction started, Karen would disappear for months at a time. Some of their contractors were great, some were crap. One contractor knocked out our furnace all winter and then (unnecessarily) air conditioned a crawlspace all spring. Another contractor ghosted halfway through the work, leaving wires hanging from ceilings. Vidal also double-billed us at least twice (once on materials and once on their fee). Later, staff at the Contractors State Licensing Board told us that Vidal is illegally operating without a license (among other violations). Talk to a lawyer before you hire them. If you're willing to deal with the headache of working with them, you could get a bargain--by simply not paying them at the end! Lawyers will tell you: there's nothing they can do! read more

Contacted them twice in the last month for possible work at my home. They did not respond either time. Their website does not provide a phone number. I sent them a message using the contact page on their website. Receiving no response, I tried again. This time I used the e-mail listed on their site: "HELLO@VIDALDESIGNCOLLABORATIVE.COM". read more

Guy states they had done 120 homes as of 2014. Telling that only 30 people shared a review and 3 of them are mine. 20 years in business and only 2 dozen people can say anything nice about you.‍ And we did finish our remodel and still laugh at Karen's suggestions and how she was so incompetent at measuring and conveying measurements to manufactures of things. For months when she would come to the house we would talk about the kitchen island. Her design plans had it at about 30' well into the family room. "Oh we will mock it all up..." Weeks later we mocked it up and it landed 10' into the family room! And every time we brought up the issue it was like the first time she heard about it. Her last day here, I literally told her to leave, at the door she paused and told me "I can't tell you how much I hated coming up here!" She was in way over her head. We have since worked with another designer on several more projects in this house and other properties. Good luck working with her. Very few customers have anything nice to say. read more

Karen Vidal brings passion and enthusiasm to her work. Along with her husband Guy Vidal, the couple has rescued literally dozens of neglected properties in and around the Silver Lake-Los Feliz-Echo Park communities, from tear-downs to architectural gems. I salute their contribution to the community and recommend them highly. read more

My husband and I purchased our 1913 craftsman home in Silver Lake last year. The house had a certain charm that we fell in love with, but previous owners had really done some damage to the house. We didn't know where to begin! I found Karen and Design Vidal with a simple internet search and I am so grateful that I did. I knew I had found someone who could help restore our home to the beautiful craftsman it was meant to be. We have spent about 10 months working with Karen and have been beyond thrilled with the results. She has an incredible eye for design and thinks of things that we never would have even thought of. Thanks to her and the incredible team of workers, our house is now a home we can truly be proud of. The only trouble is, every time we think we are finishing our last project with her, we think of something else for her to do! Working with her is just such a pleasure and so much fun, we've become a bit addicted. I'd highly recommend Design Vidal to anyone looking to remodel or restore their home. read more

Thanks to Guy and Karen Vidal our 1100sqft Echo Park home of ten years is now our dream home! We had originally looked at our house as needing a major addition. Instead we listened when Guy asked us the important question-"If we could accomplish all your goals without increasing the square footage of your home would you go for it?" From the moment we said yes to the day we moved in, Design Vidal has proven that great design and vision can make even the smallest home feel more livable. Karen has an amazing eye. Where our house lacked storage, Karen found 80 sqt in our attic that suddenly became accessible. Our house has wonderful light but Karen immediately change out our cheap fabricated, cottage style windows for gorgeous open-paned windows that made the most of our spectacular view. As a working mom, Karen understood the needs to create a bright happy place for our growing boy, our messy dog and a busy mom and dad who like to work from home when we can. Our house now features french doors, an amazing new deck and we went from 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms to three gorgeous bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Karen never overburdened me with lots of color or style options as she oversaw the purchases of new lighting fixtures, furniture and more. Again, the only word for Karen is amazing! Design Vidal is not the least expensive contractor/decorators you can find in the LA area but they are worth every penny of their fee. Karen finished the project within our budget expectations and we moved back in a week early. And while there are some elements that are still being worked on, Design Vidal's cheerful, helpful and very neat crew makes the work unobtrusive and pleasant. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Karen and Guy remodeled our very outdated kitchen and made it into a functional and beautiful focal point of our home. It was a treat working with Karen, who shared the same vision, and when she didn't, she graciously accepted my vision, with some gentle nudging when I was wrong!!! I had heard horror stories about working with contractors; being over budget and behind schedule. However, this was not my experience. Design Vidal made the remodel easy, from creating a realistic budget, realistic expectations and realistic execution. Her guys were professional and skilled, and I'm happy to say that she came in on budget (if not a little under) and finished on time. She also took the responsibility of managing the project and taking decisions out of my hands. She brought idea choices to me, while maintaining the integrity of the home. I would happily recommend Karen and Guy. We plan on using Design Vidal again for a master bathroom. I look forward to it and know that it will be as beautiful as the kitchen they created for us. read more

We had been excited to work with Design Vidal for a long time as my husband and I came across their work many years ago in an open house. Wow, were we disappointed. We hired them to do a major kitchen remodel including taking down walls. We paid the $5000 retainer and finally more than a month later all they produced was a vague floor plan. This floor plan had a range in a center island, which Is a kitchen design aspect I've always disliked. The designer did not expend any effort getting to know us or asking us about our likes, dislikes, wants and needs. When we asked them to provide something with a little more detail, they told us they have an architect that can provide elevations, but it would be an additional cost. Before we were able to start on the kitchen, we needed to complete some other work upstairs which Design Vidal was in charge of. Well, they didn't design the stairwell right or the master closet. In the stairway they left out a skirt molding, which we thought was important in trying to create the look we were after. They said we should have told them that beforehand. Isn't that the designer's job, to plan ahead? We feel the design decisions were left to the subcontractors. Their office was disorganized and a quality employee left after only working there two months. A quality employee meaning someone that actually took our phone calls. The designer was almost completely absent from the job site. She visited three times during the four months they were hired. We were left to compose lengthy emails in order to communicate. When it came to selecting a lighting fixture, the designer told us just go pick out something at this store in N. Hollywood. We found out later that they were busy rebranding their business and this is why they had no time for our project. But, they had time to collect our money. When we finally fired them from our job, we hired another designer who has been amazing to work with. Her retainer was half the amount and it included four different floor plan ideas, which had color elevations and sample materials. This is what a designer's job is and she's able to put together a very detailed cost for the whole scope of the project. read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Vidal Design Collaborative. We hired them to remodel our outdated galley kitchen -- an awkward space that other contractors/designers just couldn't crack. The others suggest cosmetic fixes, but nothing too inspiring. It was a whole different story when VDC came in -- Karen had a vision for the space that no one else thought of. She figured out a way to open it up, while mirroring existing architectural details in the house. Once we hired them, the process was very smooth. From initial designs to revisions and then actual construction -- everyone was professional and on top of things. Their site manager was a lovely dude who was always reachable. And the result is stunning. Every finish and design element is thoughtful and just gorgeous. But beyond that, Karen's design has changed the entire flow of our house. It works better in every way, and I'm so grateful. Are they a little more expensive than some other places? Yes. Is it worth it? Definitely. We've done other remodeling jobs with other companies, and they've been headaches in 100 different ways. Not so with VDC. If we have another project in the future, no question we'll be hiring them again. read more

I'm updating my previous review as we've finished another project with Design Vidal. The scale was larger on this one as we added a bathroom, many closets and custom built-ins creating a master suite. Though it is in essence a master oasis! Our 1921 California bungalow was not working for our family of three with one bathroom and scant storage. Karen transformed our large scale master into a contemporary workable space with lots of added storage that all looks original! Guy guided us through the budget and meetings with engineer as we changed a major beam and created more structure under the house to accommodate a free standing bathtub. Esteban the architect was wonderful and enthusiastic and had a great idea of creating a glass wall to separate the toilet area. We all loved that idea and I'm grateful for it everyday. Karen reimagined this space in a way we never dreamed possible. Seriously I was ready to "Love it, or List it"! Well we love it. Will always call Design Vidal to get on the waiting list. We couldn't be happier. read more

Working with the whole Design Vidal team has been an absolute pleasure. I would absolutely recommend them for your home project. Over the course of a year's+ worth of work, our very nice, but bland Silver Lake home that we were outgrowing became an exciting dream home for our family of 5. Because of Design Vidal our 3 bd, 2.5 bath became a very tasteful (in no way McMansion) 5 bd, 4 bath with a new master bedroom, a massive open kitchen (as opposed to the tiny galley we had before), a useable and more sustainable backyard and a wonderful pool. Amazing stuff. My wife and I always knew our project would be challenging. We were trying to figure out what we wanted and how we could do a big renovation once rather than doing it in incremental steps. Karen and Guy made this process a breeze. They managed every detail of the project very closely and ensured that it turned into exactly what we wanted. They also worked well within our timeline and helped us keep track of the project's costs, with the goal of keeping us on budget. We had a big project, which forced us to move out of our house, and we were able to get back in when we wanted and to keep it as close to budget as humanly possible. We have zero complaints about our architect and contractors, which is a testament to Guy and Karen too. The people they work with are all top-notch professionals. I think we are some of the few people we know who have done remodeling and cannot say a bad word about our general contractor. Karen and Guy made the difference. For all of the work in our home, they solicited bids for us and, with their help, made sure to get the right people. Karen and Guy also helped us navigate the city permitting bureaucracy, doing all the heavy lifting and making sure piece of construction we did was permitted and legal. Having project managers like the Vidals is extremely important and made our hectic lives much less so. On the overall design, the look of the place, and the finishings, Karen absolutely rocked it. Her taste is impeccable and she always has suggestions on furniture, wallpaper, art, rugs, lighting and every design element you can think of (and more). But what sets her apart is her ability to get a sense of the client's taste, move in that direction, and come up with ideas and solutions that you would never think of. Karen and Guy are always accessible and helpful. They beautifully realized our home project, navigated us through tough times and were consummate professionals throughout the process. read more

We just completed a year-long major renovation with Karen and Guy, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We spent a long time interviewing design/build teams, and we couldn't find the right fit or vision...until we found Vidal Design Collaborative. The moment we saw their portfolio of other projects, we were sold. I have so much admiration for Karen's design sense. It's such a treat to live in such a beautiful place every day, especially when considering that it was originally a dark and boxy home that was not very inviting. With Karen's vision and their skilled architect, we created an open floor plan that has great flow. We added windows and light. And tiles. And built-ins. And character. We had great experiences with virtually all of their subs, but you can choose how involved you are with them since VDC project manages everything. We loved our project manager Steven, and the other VDC core team, Dion and Shelly. The finishing team (Humberto and his crew) who did the dry wall, carpentry, paint, tile, etc - did such an incredible job. True craftsmanship and attention-to-detail. Plus, they worked so hard to help us meet a move-in deadline when our rental lease was ending. They were able to stay within our agreed-upon budget, and they were realistic about timelines, how long it would take to get permits, etc. Basically no games. Lastly, Karen's perspective as a parent infuses her design-style, so there are many cool and practical things that she suggested (a second/lower shower head in our shower that our kids use exclusively, the height of the bookshelves in their play area that make books more accessible, etc) that we still reflect on today. We are already thinking about the next project with them. Highly recommend! read more

When we bought our house, it was a giant puzzle. It was built in 1939 but had been randomly renovated under previous owners, but only half-ass so it didn't make sense. We thought it would be fairly easy to renovate. Then we interviewed architects. They all made us feel like this nearly "move-in ready" house was a tear down. We were so depressed, we debated putting the house back on the market 3 days after buying it. Then we interviewed the Vidals. They walked in and immediately saw a vision. They saw so much potential in the house (which is what we had thought until the architects came in and burst our bubble) and got really excited about how we could make it work for our family of four. We had also interviewed a few designers before them and while they had more enthusiasm than the architects, there was just something missing. I realized what it was once I met Karen: maturity. She just has a way about her where she knows exactly how your life is going to evolve in a space. We have two young kids, but she designed it for them now, but also to grow into. Same with us. She is so smart in her thinking and so logical, but also has such fun and flare. I can't say enough about how much we love our house and loved working with the Vidals. They are truly top-notch, and good, ethical people to boot. We have now lived in the house for almost a year and people ask me if I'm happy with the renovation and what I would have done differently. The answer is so solid: I'm thrilled with the renovation and if I had to do it all over again, the only thing I would do is call Karen first and bag interviewing anyone else. She's THAT good. read more

Karen and Guy from Design Vidal has provided outstanding interior design consulting services for my Palm Springs residences. Even though we are doing one room at a time Karen's ability to listen to the clients needs and budget concerns were spot on. My husband and I hired Design Vidal as part of our agreement with the contractor who handled the remodel of our master bathroom. We found Karen to be really on the mark in terms of figuring out how to accommodate our needs and fit within the size and budget we had. She made some suggestions that were outside the scope of the project, but I appreciated her thinking more expansively and considering the possibilities even if we didn't choose to go that way. Our redone bathroom fits into the 1920s style bungalow that we live in much more than what the previous owners of the house put in. We love it. read more

Top notch! I've worked with Karen and Guy on numerous projects and always come away very happy. Karen is super-creative, direct, honest and extremely capable. The 2nd story deck we did with Karen enhanced our 1940s-era house tremendously and changed how we use the entire main floor. I look forward to our next project. read more

We really enjoyed working with Karen and Guy and the whole Design Vidal team on our renovation and would totally recommend them. They transformed our kitchen/dining room and added a great new bathroom and a beautiful deck. Karen was really great at listening to what we were thinking and what we liked and didn't -- and then coming up with ideas that met both of our, at times, differing tastes. Often these were ideas neither of us had thought of but both ended up loving. Everyone they brought in to work on the project, from the architect to the contractors, were top-notch. They handled all the permitting and were able to bring the project in on budget. It was a stressful few months as we were also dealing with an infant child, but Karen and Guy made it much smoother and easier. We couldn't be more happy with the final product. read more

I really can't say enough about how wonderful an experience working with Karen and Guy at Design Vidal was. Karen designed and oversaw a complete "remodel to sell" project on our Colonial Revival bungalow in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. The house had great bones, but we had put most of our cash into structural and system upgrades over the years, so aesthetically it was a diamond in the very rough. Undertaking the project concerned me because we had already moved to the East coast, and I dreaded managing such a big job by "remote control." Karen made it easy, and took the project from budgeting and design through the build, to a beautifully realized completion. She worked with the contractors, brought a keen eye and her impeccable taste and did a truly amazing job. She listened very closely to what we were trying to accomplish, and made it happen at a reasonable cost, delivering big style "bang" on a tight budget. Her instincts about the home were spot on; over and over again she suggested things that we had dreamed about doing for years. Her skillful design was both period appropriate (the house was built in 1910) and forward thinking. She carefully emphasized the charming aspects of the house, made it very homey, but also brought a modern open feel to a house that originally had many small closed off spaces. After the Design Vidal remodel, the home sold in three days with 11 offers and a full scale bidding war, a huge part of which was due to Karen's impeccable remodel. The increased selling price more than recouped what we spent on the job. The house sold for significantly more than it would have brought before Karen re-imagined it. Our realtor literally had to push people out of the open house at the end of the day, as no-one wanted to leave! Potential buyers sent us "love letters" to the house talking about how much they wanted to live there. It was genuinely hard to let go of the place, as it was so homey, warm and beautiful when Karen was done! read more

My wife and I bought a pigeon infested duplex in Silver Lake and were more than overwhelmed with how to turn it into a place to call home. Karen and Guy listened to us and translated our wants and needs into a beautiful home. We could have never done this ourselves - not only was this a major renovation, connecting two floors of a duplex to create one residence, but we have never been so great at design decision making together. Karen made it easy, helping us wade through the myriad of choices to land on ideas that we all loved. I would say that we discovered our style through working with Karen, and it was so so so much easier than slogging it out by ourselves! More than just a design company, Karen and Guy were also our advocate during the renovation, making sure that we were heard, that any work that was questionable was fixed, and helped with the extra pressure that contractors sometimes need to finish. If we are lucky enough to renovate another property, my first call will be to Design Vidal! read more

Karen and Guy Vidal may have saved my marriage. Three days after buying our house in Silver Lake, I declared that I wanted to sell it. I'm certain murder and/or divorce crossed my wife's mind. Then we brought in Karen and with her tremendous vision and, just as importantly, patience, the house was transformed. I love it, and I could not say that had we not worked with Karen. She oversaw a six-month renovation that included the addition of a bedroom, a bathroom and the opening up of our kitchen/living room. The house was a major logistical puzzle-- built into the side of a hill, with no space to expand. When we bought it, there were virtually no closets. But Karen found nooks and crannies in the hillside and turned them into functional spaces. As a result, we now have an abundance of storage space, in addition to a living space we simply love. Karen did all of this within the house's existing walls, maintaining its original details completely while updating it to accommodate our growing family. I couldn't recommend Design Vidal more highly. read more

Karen and Guy Vidal just helped us do a complete renovation of our kitchen and bathroom and we could not be happier. Karen has impeccable taste and the project has completely transformed our house. We have a 1938 house, and Karen was able to retain its vintage feel while incorporating much-needed modern conveniences. Karen oversaw every last detail of the project for the 2-plus months it was going on and we trusted her completely. We recommend Design Vidal wholeheartedly. Thanks Karen and Guy! read more

Karen and Guy Vidal brought amazing value to the project they did for us. We had a challenging layout and they were able to use existing space to give us a bathroom that somehow makes people jealous with enough space left over for a walk-in closet, laundry, and a vanity. Their vision saw things others couldn't, their taste made it possible, and their execution was flawless. Karen Vidal is amazing!! I've used her on two occasions to update my 40 year old condo and most recently to redo my kitchen. My home is gorgeous and a joy to walk into thanks to Karen. I'm sure this firm does great work. In fact, I have seen some of their work at various homes over the years, so I was looking forward to working with them on a big landscaping project as well as other exterior changes and flex space renovation. After hounding them for weeks by phone and email, an assistant finally got back to me and when I expressed interest in getting info or having someone come out for a quote, she said they 'probably wouldn't do it' because we had already renovated our home's interior. Finally, she followed up with an email confirming that - with very little info on what we wanted. After I got thrown onto their email list without consent and replied, Guy apologized, stating that it was likely an issue with the timing. But we had never discussed a timeline and we were actually totally flexible, so seems like bad internal communication. If they're not interested in taking on large outdoor projects, maybe that should be removed as a service option on the website. Luckily, we've found another, much more professional company to handle our very large project. Lesson learned: if you aren't hearing back from a company, that must mean they don't want/need the business so maybe look elsewhere. That can't be a good sign of how they'd handle your project. read more

Karin designed some outdoor projects for us that tied the full property together as well as helped us with some design elements for the interior. We recently created a guest suite in our 1912 craftsman and Karen and Guy were simply the best. We had no idea where to start and they made it very easy for us. Karen's design aesthetic is impeccable and where our tastes may have diverged she was great at picking stuff that we would have picked for ourselves. Their access to great vendors and experienced crafts people is something that can only be accomplished through time and experience -- things they have loads of and we had none! The project was a little over budget (which may have been our fault with upgrades!) and a little over the time line, but hey, it's construction! Seriously, I have never heard of anyone who did a project like this with fewer headaches. And the finished project is gorgeous! read more

We absolutely recommend Vidal Design for any home or outdoor renovations. We were novices to home design, and when we started the process with Vidal Design, we only had a vague sense of what we wanted done. We just weren't happy with our house. They did such an excellent job of understanding who we were, what we wanted, what we really wanted, and most importantly, guiding us through the process while understanding that my husband and I are both incredibly busy. They were ready to talk us through decisions and process when we had questions, but also ready to present us with options that were carefully curated to our tastes when we didn't have time to have questions. They *got* our weird taste and elevated it. They incorporated odd little knick knacks that were important to us and made them part of our home, rather than just trying to sell us vases. They are thoughtful and fun in their work. They worked quickly, delivered on deadlines, and we were so happy with them, we hired them to redo our sad little backyard as well! Our house is gorgeous and warm and completely us now: a functional, stylish, fun, and charming space that feels like home. read more

Karen and Guy redid our entire house and backyard. We needed to redo the floor plan to make room for an in-law unit, among other things. Karen walked through the house with us, and came back with a plan that solved all of our problems. They helped us figure out what we needed, worked with us on the budget, and then transformed the entire place. We had to move out for a number of months, took it down to the studs, and it was more expensive than we had hoped, primarily because of changes that we made to the original plan knowing they would cost more. But it was all so completely worth it. We trusted their vision, overall, and wanted them to make many decisions for us. We work full time and have kids and they and their team took care of almost everything. Other times we asked for (and were provided with) limited choices, and other times we let them know about strong preferences we had. I think no matter what you do, it's challenging, to a family and a marriage, to make it through all the upheaval and all the decisions. So we felt very grateful for Karen and Guy. They are straightforward, reliable, and most of all, they are so good at what they do -- we love our house!! We've been living in the remodel for a couple of years now. I'm still grateful for it every day. read more

We are extremely pleased to recommend Design Vidal. We did a major remodel of our 1930 Spanish house, and Karen's vision, taste, and support resulted in a home that we LOVE and that our visitors can't stop complimenting. I mostly just second what every other reviewer has already said... however, I also want to add that our project was a bit complicated, meaning that Design Vidal joined a team that already included an architect, a contractor, a landscaper, a pool contractor, etc. I've had friends who've done big remodels tell me horror stories about fights and difficult relationships between various members of a remodel team, but there was never any of that with us, and a huge part of the reason is that Karen is lovely, gracious, and PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS. She did an amazing job of making sure that the design aspects of the project, which included MANY small details, were never lost in the wash of other concerns. I am SO grateful that we decided to ask for Design Vidal's help!! read more

We first discovered Design Vidal went touring an open house in Los Feliz that they had completely restored/renovated. We absolutely loved the house and immediately put in an offer, but it was not meant to be. A couple months later we bought a 1920s house that was even more perfect for us, but definitely needed some work to undo some previous owner's poor design choices. We immediately called Design Vidal. Our house had a ton of character when we bought it, which we did not want to lose. Karen came in and knew exactly what to retain, restore and redo. Her taste in paint colors and light fixtures suited the house and us perfectly. She and her fantastic (and very friendly) team went above and beyond our expectations to bring out the character and warmth of our house. There was not a floor or wall that we did not touch. After a couple of months in the house with its original kitchen, we brought Karen back in to help us completely renovate with the intention of making a new kitchen that looked like it was there all along (which including removing structural walls). Karen had a vision for every detail and brought in an amazing team of custom cabinet-makers, painters, electricians and plumbers. The only thing remaining from our old kitchen is the vintage stove/oven, which fits perfectly with the fixtures, backsplash and other details of our new kitchen. We could not be happier with how everything turned out. I come from a family of developers and contractors and know how difficult construction can be (especially when you are living through it) and Karen and her team were excellent (even with my incessant emailing of questions and observations). We look forward to using them again soon and highly recommend them. read more
