    Mortal Kombat X Tourney

If you're an 80's baby who grew up on gaming, this place is going to bring back a lot of memories and make a lot of new ones. I got to talk to the owner Joe and all of the units in this place were from his personal collection when he decided, "this would make for an awesome public gaming hut". Located next to Jacks in Pittsburgh's South Side, Victory Point is not just your run of the mill arcade. Boasting 50 some arcade units ranging from Pinball to the Simpsons there's something for everyone. He has units that made my jaw drop to the floor like NINJA BATMAN, A MEGA MAN FIGHTING GAME, BATTLETOADS and of course all the fighting units from Street Fighter to Killer Instincts! They even have new units like BATMAN, TRANSFORMERS and MARIO KART. Their Pinball Machine selection is awesome also with a kick ass Wizard of OZ one and even Dr Who! The selection of games doesn't stop there though. They also have a bar with about 8 flat screen TVs with any gaming unit you want and a huge selection of games. They even have tournaments and the night I went they were having a Mortal Kombat X tourney, super chill. They plan on opening a kitchen soon for food but for now you can get a selection of soda and water as well as lattes, coffees and MilkShakes. You're probably wondering how much it costs to play all these awesome games and that answer itself awesome, $10 all you can play! It's also BYOB and Jacks next door makes that super convenient. Grab a six pack and start gaming! They even have an upstairs strictly dedicated to board games, Monopoly anyone? The hours are 5pm-10pm during the week and I think later and more day time on the weekends. This is a super fun place and I met a lot of awesome folks willing to jump on a unit and try to beat the game or even gather in some friendly fighting matches. I drank Mt Dew till I was Getty like a 10 year old and beat Bucky O'Hare with a new friend I made, ITheConflict during a meet up they were having with local musician SYKES. All in all, I would go back in a heart beat just for a chill time with cool people and awesome games. Go here and show the local guys some love while getting your game on to any style or genre that excites you! Happy Gaming!

If you like video games, board games, or home game consoles you should check out this joint! We got the 1 hour band and played a bunch of Sega arcade machines. Then we got tokens to play a couple of the pinball machines. It was a great time! We ordered milkshakes which are AMAZING!!!! They have a full menu that we didn't try, but the chef is celiac, so she has a careful and extensive gfree menu! Plus, Victory Pointe is an accepting environment that makes it clear that all are welcome. I want to make sure that we give Victory Pointe as much business as we can.

What a unique addition to the South Side. A video game bar! There are machine video games and snacks. Upstairs is another floor with board games, video game consoles a lounge and toys! A must see for geeks!

We had a great time at Victory Point! We played the classic X-Men Arcade game and had a great milkshake.

Ask the Community - Victory Pointe

Do they sell food here? I'm taking my children and wanted to know if we should eat somewhere first or if we could eat there.

We do not sell food. Just an arcade these days.

For years, my family has been coming here for birthday parties and everyday fun. More recently, my husband had a work event here, and his employees seemed to enjoy the foods, drinks, and games. I think that the restaurant's casual foods such as pizzas and its alcoholic beverages such as cocktails taste very good. The kids "loved" the bowling and arcade games and spent hours playing them. The games are fun for adults, too (I liked the air hockey and laser tag, although I am not the most skilled at them!). The only problem that we have had was that a photo printer was out of paper, and we had to wait for the paper to be replaced. The employees spoke nicely with us.

We were going to do two but not with those prices. And honestly I get it a LITTLE bit BUT THE amount of time wasted on waiting for the pins to reset or getting our balls back is half the time. This is not the place if you want to just bowl and have a good time. This is the place if you want to go to Dave and busters but have less games and more kids

The place has a wide open and welcoming environment. Sure it gets busy, but you never feel without space to stretch out. The bowing, the games, and the slides are all great. Lots of fun. And tons of "free" stuff to do in there. I enjoy that you can bring in outside food. I wish that they had napkins or something for you, but not a big deal! The beer variety is great and the cocktails are pretty good. Can you tell I'm eager to get to the bad? It's the service. Mainly the bar service. This is a sample size of probably 10+ times being here and without a doubt, most of the bartenders are miserable, not polite, always act as if you are inconveniencing them. It's wild. It's not always the same person. I see new bartenders all the time there and without fail, they are really bad. The woman who was working the first floor main bar on Saturday 1/17 around 1:30pm was by far the worst. She was so bad that I'm at a breaking point and I need to avoid this place for awhile. Pins Mechanical - please fix this culture of bad service. It's a shame and unnecessary.

If it looks like the weather is turning, I'd recommend starting outside and hitting up the batting cages or go-kart racing as those close first. We arrived just as the skies were opening up so concentrated on the inside. We had two small kiddos with us aged 5 years old. The Duckpin bowling was perfect for them. They loved it, and we selected the game theme as Christmas. Why not? It was Christmas in July! While bowling, we ordered dinner so we could eat and play at the same time. Think basic arcade/amusement park fare. But it was all pretty tasty. We ordered a large pizza and some garlic bread sticks. We devoured it all. From here, we went to the arcade, which was the biggest hit with the kids. They just loved all of the game options and winning tickets to win a prize. Personally, I was addicted to the quarter drop games and since it's all payment through a pre-paid card, it's easy to burn through the money! The rain eventually slowed so we checked out the outdoor putt putt golf and took the kids to a few of the rides. They loved the hot air balloons and the swinging ride. I will add, that the rides are more like carnival rides. Several of them were not working. We joined the kids on the spinning seat ride and there was a dramatic moment where they couldn't get any of the lap bars to open. It was actually very nerve-wracking. My bar wouldn't come up but after several tries they got it to open. My son's bar never actually got open after nearly the entire staff came out to help. He was surprisingly calm given the circumstances and we eventually were able to position him in a way that we could pull him out of the ride. The lap bar never opened. It was a little terrifying. But I'm giving the place a strong review since they truly seemed mortified by the situation. And allowed our kids to pick out whatever toy they wanted. While it was pretty traumatizing, they were able to pick out some new toys and that made them so happy. I was just glad I didn't sit in the seat my son was in. I don't know what would have happened!
