It was going to stop in Buendia so we chose to ride that since it will take us to Manila plus a place in the Metro where we were very familiar with. The conductor asked us different questions so that he may give us instructions so we don't get lost. He made sure that we were going to get to where we had to be. He also told us where to get off so we don't go further. It was really nice of him to do so because not much people really care as long as there are passengers. At the same time, the ride was really fast and smooth. we had minor stops in Laguna but towards Manila we were well on our way. We fell asleep and as soon as we woke up, we were surprised to see that were in Makati already. It only took us about 2 hours and 30 minutes to get there from Laguna. We also had a good sleep so it just goes to show it wasn't a bumpy ride. We were tired and it was good that we didn't feel hassled with the commute. It was a good trip back to Manila and a nice way to end our whole trip!

People told me it's a lot more accessible now, and only one bus ride away. The Genesis Bus Line offers daily trips to various locations, including Baguio, Baler, and La Union. They offer regular trips and special ones, the latter making no stopovers and bringing you straight to your destination. Don't worry, they have a bathroom on board the bus! For only P700, just a few hundreds more than the regular fare, you'll cut about 3-4 hours off your trip. When I took my Baguio trip, the bus reached the city in just about 4 hours. We left at around 2pm in Manila, and arrived just before 6:30pm, just in time for dinner. The bus is also very comfortable, with reclining chairs, wifi, blankets, and water and some crackers given to the passengers. There are only a few seats on board (I think about 24?), giving lots of space for each passenger. It's incredibly easy to book a ticket! I'm glad that Genesis makes Baguio so accessible now. I'm targeting Baler for my next out of town trip, and yup, using Genesis to get there! Oh, but just don't try giving them a call. It doesn't seem like anyone picks up their landline.

PROS: It's interesting because this mall is the center of all PUV actions from central to north Manila and, aside from pedicabs and calesas, they have stops for every single type of PUV used in the metro - buses, jeeps, vans, cabs, and even tricycles. Take your pick and hop on to wherever you need to go. It's right in front of the mall along EDSA. CONS: So it's right along EDSA and it actually takes up may a couple or even three lanes from the highway just because they decided to have this bus and other transport bays. Traffic gets really heavy in a bottleneck when approaching this section; If I'm commuting and taking the bus, it bothers me a lot that the buses do not stop honking despite the signs that says no honking. It's an excess of noise pollution, plus it's not going to make people ride that bus. I don't care if you press your horn as much as you can, bus driver, but if I'm not going to UE Letre why should I take your bus?; Traffic enforcers are basically powerless in this area; For jeeps and vans, lines could take forever. TL;DR: SM's transport bays are pretty accessible, but it has a lot of negatives that cancels out its usefulness. It could've been planned better.

Cruz, Laguna and we decided to take HM Transport in Cubao. We chose this because there's a bus that leaves every 30 minutes so we wanted to make sure that either way, we'd be able to catch a bus even if we're early or late. The first trip departs at 4am and the last is at 10pm. The stops were Calamba, Los Banos, Bay, Pila, and lastly Sta. Cruz. We were able to ride the 7:30 am bus. It took us about 4 hours because of the stops that we had to take. We really didn't mind because the itinerary we prepared was very flexible. The bus was air conditioned so it gave us some comfort during the whole trip. The bus was also clean. We found that to be very important because who wants to travel in a dirty smelly bus, right? Thankfully we asked fellow passengers regarding the stops so we knew where exactly in Sta. Cruz we had to go down. We reached our destination without much hassle! It took us a while to get there but at least we were safe and that was the most important thing!

However on the way back, there was no TV and the driver literally made a stop every time he saw someone wanting to get onto a bus. The trip back ended up being 3 hours longer. Although JAC Liner is cheaper than taking a private car, I have traveled both ways and I would never take JAC Liner unless it was the absolute last option I had.

However, during times when there are far too many passengers, they in turn add trips to accommodate passengers. Though the regular bus is fine, I like taking evening trips in the deluxe bus as it has recliner seats that are a bit wider and softer cushioning, plus leg raisers to ensure a comfortable ride. At only PhP805, it's surely a great way to travel. Just hop on, sleep, and wake up 400 kilometers away from Manila and in the heritage city of Vigan.

The station is named Araneta Center-Cubao because it is connected to one of the most recognizable and popular landmarks for events that happen in Manila: Araneta Center Complex. Around Araneta Center are shopping malls like Gateway Mall (connected to Araneta), Ali Mall (said to made because of Muhammad Ali after 'Thrilla in Manila' happened), Shopwise, and Farmers Plaza. Of course, the main reason people go here is for Smart Araneta Coliseum. Ever since I was in college, this was were I would be for UAAP basketball games and concerts! Taking the MRT/LRT to Araneta Center was the fastest and most convenient way to get to these events. Plus, you didn't have to worry about traffic and parking. Since the location is right in the middle of Cubao area, Araneta Center-Cubao station is transportation depot for buses, taxis, and jeepneys. As with all MRT/LRT Stations, try not to go during the peak, rush hour time (yes, I know, peak hours here are ALL hours!). Since I am from Bulacan, this is one of the two bus companies I frequently use whenever I go back to my hometown. They have trips not only to Baliuag, Bulacan but to other destinations like Nueva Ecija, Tuguegarao and Isabela. The company have hundreds of bus units at their disposal but there are still days when I have to wait for hours just to board a bus. My personal record is 6 hours on one unforgettable All Saints Day. The facilities are a bit old and the restrooms are begging for some soap and water so I usually visit the restroom before heading to their terminal. To their credit, there has been improvements in their services. The personnel ensures that passengers line up in an orderly fashion. Although it can get confusing during peak season when the lines snake around the terminal and passengers can no longer determine for which destination the lines are and where the end is. They also strictly implement the use of courtesy lanes for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, no need to queue for passengers who are physically challenged. Although there are only a few choices for those who want to travel to Bulacan or other northern provinces, this company doesn't renege on its duty of still making sure that passengers get to their destinations safely and comfortably.

Really…read more If there weren't shuttles transporting us back and forth to Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa and Cavite, we would all be taking several buses, jeeps, trikes, cabs--It's difficult, inconvenient, time-consuming and may not even be affordable. You probably won't see us ever again. These shuttles that travel to and from Makati make commuting so much more convenient. Fares are reasonably priced and relatively cheap, if you consider the time and energy you'll be saving, as well as convenience. There are a lot of specific routes to certain neighborhoods and other central locations, and from the drop off points for some people their homes are just a walk or a trike away. On a good time of the day (not rush hour) it takes me just around 15-20 minutes to arrive Makati and vice versa, thanks to Skyway. Queues can get really long during rush hour (as expected), or when there's a sudden downpour, as Metro Manila traffic does not tolerate rain too well. This station is newly built for more than a year or so already. It used to be so cramped at that station underneath the Ayala MRT (it was HELL), but this station is more spacious and even has a nice selection of food kiosks, vending machines, and a clean toilet.

In North, we don't have much shuttle services or I am not really familiar that's why when I learned that my boyfriend rides here to his place, I got excited and we scheduled one day for me to experience being in a shuttle. From the Terminal, we just waited a few minutes until the van makes his way on the street. In less than thirty minutes, we reached parañaque without hassle. The thing is, when it reaches 6pm, this place gets really crowded and the lines are crazy. You can opt to eat your dinner first while waiting because there are food stalls and vending machine available in the place. I checked their toilet and it's still new and clean.
