When I asked simple questions such as how do I make payment either on the bus or at the ticket booth and woman conductor answer you rudely and impatiently. Sometimes they asked me in Filipino and since I'm a foreigner I requested to say in English and she answered very rudley and even raised her voice "I said where will you drop ...". To anyone and especially foreigner friend not to take Joybus. The bus conductors are very disrespectful. And very inhumane in how they treat passengers. I don't feel like a customer when I'm on their bus.

People told me it's a lot more accessible now, and only one bus ride away. The Genesis Bus Line offers daily trips to various locations, including Baguio, Baler, and La Union. They offer regular trips and special ones, the latter making no stopovers and bringing you straight to your destination. Don't worry, they have a bathroom on board the bus! For only P700, just a few hundreds more than the regular fare, you'll cut about 3-4 hours off your trip. When I took my Baguio trip, the bus reached the city in just about 4 hours. We left at around 2pm in Manila, and arrived just before 6:30pm, just in time for dinner. The bus is also very comfortable, with reclining chairs, wifi, blankets, and water and some crackers given to the passengers. There are only a few seats on board (I think about 24?), giving lots of space for each passenger. It's incredibly easy to book a ticket! I'm glad that Genesis makes Baguio so accessible now. I'm targeting Baler for my next out of town trip, and yup, using Genesis to get there! Oh, but just don't try giving them a call. It doesn't seem like anyone picks up their landline.

Insisted that we alight while the stop light is on and refuses our request to alight at the proper bus stop. He claimed that he would not stop anymore if we did not alight. I refused and he drop us off way too far from the proper bus stop. He even had the audacity to say that we can complain as much as we want to. Next time I will report this to the media and LTFRB if he will again have this kind of an attitude. Calling the attention of HM bus transport company. Kindly train your staffs. Thank you.

Cruz, Laguna and we decided to take HM Transport in Cubao. We chose this because there's a bus that leaves every 30 minutes so we wanted to make sure that either way, we'd be able to catch a bus even if we're early or late. The first trip departs at 4am and the last is at 10pm. The stops were Calamba, Los Banos, Bay, Pila, and lastly Sta. Cruz. We were able to ride the 7:30 am bus. It took us about 4 hours because of the stops that we had to take. We really didn't mind because the itinerary we prepared was very flexible. The bus was air conditioned so it gave us some comfort during the whole trip. The bus was also clean. We found that to be very important because who wants to travel in a dirty smelly bus, right? Thankfully we asked fellow passengers regarding the stops so we knew where exactly in Sta. Cruz we had to go down. We reached our destination without much hassle! It took us a while to get there but at least we were safe and that was the most important thing!

It's confusing for foreigners, and while I am part Filipina, I wasn't raised in the Philippines so I would have been completely lost if I did not have my uncle by my side. You also never know if you're going to get a good bus or not. On the way to my destination, our bus had air conditioning and a TV, and we made two stops for restroom and food breaks. However on the way back, there was no TV and the driver literally made a stop every time he saw someone wanting to get onto a bus. The trip back ended up being 3 hours longer. Although JAC Liner is cheaper than taking a private car, I have traveled both ways and I would never take JAC Liner unless it was the absolute last option I had.

It was so early and we were all still feeling groggy and grumpy. PROS: The buses are clean and the air-conditioning works well too; It's not exactly like those buses that have La-Z Boy seats nor the sleeper ones with bunk beds, but for the around 250-peso fare, I guess it's better than the Metro Manila bus seats; We arrived there right on schedule for the Lucena to Mauban al fresco buses. CONS: Our lack of sleep must've affected our perception of the bus, but weren't exactly enjoying ourselves. We couldn't really recline our seats and our bags were in our feet since there's not enough space over our heads. The wifi doesn't work too. TL;DR: Travelling for three hours isn't too much fun in JAC Liner, but at least they got us there safely and on time.

Since I am from Bulacan, this is one of the two bus companies I frequently use whenever I go back to my hometown. They have trips not only to Baliuag, Bulacan but to other destinations like Nueva Ecija, Tuguegarao and Isabela. The company have hundreds of bus units at their disposal but there are still days when I have to wait for hours just to board a bus. My personal record is 6 hours on one unforgettable All Saints Day. The facilities are a bit old and the restrooms are begging for some soap and water so I usually visit the restroom before heading to their terminal. To their credit, there has been improvements in their services. The personnel ensures that passengers line up in an orderly fashion. Although it can get confusing during peak season when the lines snake around the terminal and passengers can no longer determine for which destination the lines are and where the end is. They also strictly implement the use of courtesy lanes for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, no need to queue for passengers who are physically challenged. Although there are only a few choices for those who want to travel to Bulacan or other northern provinces, this company doesn't renege on its duty of still making sure that passengers get to their destinations safely and comfortably.
