I have broken tooth and also needed another tooth that had lost its filling and needed to be re-filled. Rather that go for the broken tooth having a root canal and crown done, I opted for an extraction and later get a partial denture for one tooth. I couldn't afford the oral surgeon fee at another place he recommended, I thought I could have him do the extraction, conscious. Well that didn't work as he couldn't get the area numbed enough to proceed, plus I started shaking like a Chihuahua and couldn't stop. But he was very patient with me through it all and said I would have to go to oral surgeon as he had tried to numb area as much as he could. A few hours later the oral surgeon's office called and I asked for price of the one tooth extracted, with consultation and procedure she quoted around $1300. So, I'll have to try and find a cheaper OS will just have to put up with broken tooth until I do. If I were younger or in better health I would prolly go to Mexico as I did that 40 yrs ago for a crown.

Because of my extensive history with sinus infections and the fact that this was my 9th round trip to the doctor that year, she suggested I try an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist and recommended Dr. Traxel. I called the extremely helpful front office and had an appointment within 2 days. His office has a funky decor going on, it's in need of a facelift, but hey when you're sick and the office clean, I'm not going to worry about looks! Dr. Traxel took one look in my nose and said, uh huh, you have a deviated septum that I can't even see passed. He was surprised nobody had noticed before. He scheduled a CAT scan and suggested surgery, in the meantime he vacuumed my sinuses and ears to help relieve the pain I was in and gave me some medication. Even though Dr. Traxel was a great surgeon, I did have some complications and his office fit me in within 15 minutes of my calling. The billing process is very easy to understand and his office staff does their best to save you money with your insurance. I would highly reccommend visiting with Dr. Traxel if you have any sinus, ear or throat problems!
