And it's only open on the weekends (Friday to Sunday) from 11am to 4pm. But the docents are wonderful, friendly, and very knowledgable. And I enjoy seeing things like old typewriters, sewing machines, and cash registers. We had about 30 minutes here which if you're not a big history buff, is more than enough. This is a large one room museum that features Indian artifacts and farm and home antiques. Then, a one hour show on the Hogwarts express ending in Hogsmeade with a butter beer station and the same merch from the previous gift shop, and a good rendition of the Hogwarts express for photos. Pros: -The cast did a great job and was very enthusiastic with their performance! -I see the effort, they did a good job with what they had to work with. My kids enjoyed the show and it should be fun for HP fans. -The staff were all so nice and friendly Cons: -They sent a few emails recommending to come 1 hour before showtime so that's what we and the rest of the people did. The waiting area was a black tent with NO AC. It was over 100 degrees outside and people were dressed up in their house robes crowded together. It took 1 minute to get the tickets from Will Call and the rest of the hour was waiting in that sweltering heat. I'm not sure if it was just broken today since the tent at the end had AC, but people were miserable, young kids were complaining, crying etc. Do NOT come 1 hour ahead, 30 minutes should be enough. If you come earlier do yourself a favor and grab the tickets and wait back in your car with some AC and water. -Also, for the price I'm not sure if it's worth it unless you get an aisle seat.

The farm is beautifully maintained, and there's something special about breathing in the fresh lavender-scented air while wandering through the fields. There are bees, as to be expected (lol), but that's something to keep in mind. They also offer quality lavender products (like soaps, lotions, and oils) that make perfect gifts or personal treats. These can easily be ordered online as well. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Whether you're stopping by for photos, to shop, or simply to enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by blooming lavender, it's a wonderful experience. For the You-Pick Event, admission is $30 per group (As of 06/30/2025), which includes time on the farm and a tube to fill with lavender, no matter the size of your group. Extra tubes are $10. If you don't want to pick, you can use your admission toward $30 worth of farm-made lavender products. Either way, it's a win-win. If you missed their You-Pick Event, don't worry, they often extend the dates, like they did this year! Lavender typically blooms from mid-June to mid-July, so be sure to check their website. Use the directions provided on their website; they're simple to follow, and watch for the signage too. Also, note that the road is unpaved in parts, so drive with a bit more caution.

I got a decent amount of lavender, looks like 500 or so stems. The young man inside was a fellow USD alumni always cool run into a fellow Torrero. The lavender is organic, so safe make things with. Fun activity. Their shop had lavender soaps, spritz, balms, masks and sachets among options to buy. Based on the experience definitely worth the 30 admission, getting lost, and picking lavender.

We went a few weekends ago for the School of Rock House Band Fest. Great location and easy to find…read moreout in Temecula. It was a hot weekend but there was plenty of shade at the top of the Ampitheater. This venue is a great place to listen to live music. The sound was great and there was plenty of seating. Check the website because it may vary depending the event but I would suggest bringing a pop up of sorts and some lawn chairs. The bottom half of the Ampitheater is stadium type seating, essentially concrete seats which get very hot with the Temecula heat. If you plan on sitting in those seats I would suggest bringing a seat cushion for comfort as well as protection from burning your bum, and a hat. Overall a really neat venue.

This year the concert series runs from June 1st to the last one on July 27th. Gates open at 5pm and the concert starts at 7pm. This is a beautiful outdoor arena located on the grounds of the Temecula Community Recreation Center and next to the Ronald Regan Sports Park. There are several rows of tiered seating with a grassy area which is wide enough to fit a beach chair for comfortable seating. At the top, above the tiered seating levels is a grassy area where you can lay down a blanket and spread out. There is also easy handicap access and seating. No alcohol or pets are allowed. There is lots of parking. These concerts are very popular and fill up quickly. Get there early to grab your spot, bring a picnic dinner, and enjoy the outdoor setting while waiting for the concert to start. The audience is filled with young and old, and a lot of families. There are usually snacks and drinks for sale, but not anything for a full meal. I think last night the vendor was Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies. Last night the band was Smokin' Cobras, singing old time rock and roll, a little bit of Johnny Cash, Beach Boys, Swing, and a lot more. Everyone gets into the music and there was a lot of dancing. It was fun, fun, fun! The seats face west and the sun is right in your face until it sets. It does get hot during the summer time. Bring sun glasses, a hat, or an umbrella for shade. Once the sun goes down, the evenings are usually quite nice. Last night was a bit chilly. Temecula is such a great place to live! Afterwards, one of the guides led us to an area to create a game for the child in our group. She also chimed in about the exhibits and offered her knowledge, which we soaked up like sponges. She was great and answered all of our questions. This is a great place to stop by if you're in the area and wanting to learn about the history of the area.
