Dale's Fun Center

Dale's Fun Center

I bought a Kawasaki Verysys 650CC from Dale's Fun Center in August 2016; I highly recommend this…read moredealership and their staff. Before I buy a product I price around a lot and research the product a lot. I requested quotes from 4 Kawasaki dealers in my region. Dale's staff came back with the best price and did not play any BS dealership games as many dealerships do. My experience was a straight talk quote from Dale's. I decided to buy from Dale's even though there is a closer dealership. My thought is Dale's staff offered the bike at the price I wanted and did not jack me around one iota. I had requested a quote on a similar unit from another dealer who had the bike I wanted listed for sale on Craigslist for a decent price, BUT the price shell game began from the very first conversation and the dealership tried to sneak on an additional $3,000+ OVER the price they had the unit listed on Craigslist for, so there is no way I would buy a cup of water from that dealership.....I stuck with Dales. I had ever been to Dale's Fun Center before. Upon my arrival I was greeted by all the staff from sales folks, parts staff, the finance guy Brian. I also met Dale Stubb's himself (the owner) and had a lengthy discussion with him; Dale is an extremely personable gent. I was offered a test ride on the bike I was quoted on and I took the bike for a very long test ride. The dealership is located on an excellent highway for a test ride....super, wide open Texas roadways. After a lengthy test ride I decided I would accept the price we had discussed on the telephone and by emails. It was a straight forward purchase with no BS. I decided to finance part of the bike with Dale's finance companies and got a very, very competitive low interest rate on my bike. Brian (finance guy) got me approved for a loan in just a few minutes without any hassles. My overall impression of the dealership: IMO this dealership is very professionally staffed and maintained. Dale's has a large selection of parts, motorcycles, off-road vehicles and more. The building and premises are extremely well maintained and professional in appearance. Now, 8 months later I took my bike back to Dale's for the first service interval. Again, I was impressed with the entire staff at Dale's from parts, service, sales, finance and Dale himself. I must note that 8 months after the sale Dale remembered the exact bike I bought from his dealership nearly a year ago. I visited with the entire staff on my visit to have my bike serviced. My service interval was completed on time and as discussed with the service department. I would definitely recommend Dale's Fun Center to my friends and family. Jimbo, in service, called with an estimate, of which I approved, and was per dollar as quoted when picked up: not use to that. Excellent work and pleasant experience. My go to for all future Kawasaki service.

This is the best place to buy a bike. No outrageous fees, they are honest people over here. I drove…read more3.5hrs to get my bike from them and I promise you wont find a better place to buy a bike.

I came in to look at a used motorcycle and while I appreciate the staff taking the time to let me…read moreview and test ride the bike, the overall presentation and experience fell far short of what you'd expect when spending that kind of money. The motorcycle had obvious cosmetic drop damage (scuffed clutch cover, exhaust, and bar end), which I understand can happen on used inventory and I was told about before hand because I noticed a scuff on the clutch cover so I asked the shop owner about it. What concerned me was the complete lack of basic preparation and presentation: the bike was dusty/dirty, and both the rear brake reservoir and coolant were sitting right on the low line. If a shop asks for top-dollar pricing, basic fluid top-offs and wiping down the machine should be the bare minimum standard before putting it on the floor. When I asked about coverage or warranty options for peace of mind regarding the drop history, I was told they don't offer extended warranties because "it's a used bike and you never know when an engine might blow," beyond a basic 30-day dealer guarantee. Expecting a buyer to take on 100% of the long-term risk on a tipped-over machine without even properly prepping or topping off the fluids doesn't build confidence in their intake or inspection process. I chose to walk away and hold onto my money. I recommend future buyers thoroughly inspect any pre-owned inventory here before making a deal.

I am a 62 year old man who has owned and ridden numerous motorcycles since I was 14. I can recall…read moreevery experience that I have ever had dealing with private sellers and motorcycle dealerships over the years, and on the whole, I have found the private sector to be far less exasperating. Until today. I had been searching for a well maintained, low mileage, later model Honda 919 for the better part of a couple of years to retire my beloved but ageing 750 Nighthawk. I checked Craigslist at least every other day throughout this period, and was disappointed to find that examples of the model were becoming as scarce as hen's teeth, not only nationwide, but particularly on the local front. Having located a rare potential candidate being offered by a private party about an hour away in San Antonio ("In perfect condition, excellent shape"), I took advantage of the chance to investigate at my earliest opportunity. As has happened on numerous occasions in the past, I found the description of the bike advertised falling far short of reality... the right side of the tank was badly dented and patched, with plenty of scrapes on both frame and motor indicating at least one nasty low-side crash, with a diverse array of aftermarket parts used to minimize the apparent damage. I had also been following an ad for an identical bike posted by a place called Extreme Motorsports, and since it was located not far from the private seller's residence, I decided (out of desperation and scarcity) that I would try to overcome my long held prejudice and at least check the place out. What a pleasant surprise! Not only was the bike a much better candidate than I had previously uncovered in my two year search, the owners and staff , to a man, were among the best that I have encountered in any vehicular retail setting. I found that every person I met was pleasant, informative, helpful, respectful, and professional... though not to the extreme of being off-putting. Indeed, that was perhaps the most enjoyable aspect about the whole experience. This jovial group acts like a band of brothers who love their work, and their enthusiasm and camaraderie will put you at ease and make you feel like one of the family. My sincere thanks to all that I met, and to Dave and James in particular, the owners from whom I suspect all this motorcycle nirvana flows. You have provided me with an exceptional bike at an exceptional price, and perhaps most surprisingly, an exceptional experience!
