Now it looks better than ever. Most of the time I come here whenever I have to accomplish a research paper or project for school, but I do visit to read and check out books on occasion.Upon scrolling through some of my photographs I know that I don't look like the bookworm type of person based on my hideous black ugly-looking face, but I do enjoy reading and learning about things. I especially enjoy reading mind-stimulating books, encyclopedias, and historical books about the past. You can never have too much knowledge. The library is quiet most of the time but sometimes women will bring their young children with them and it can really disturb my studying. I wish that some of the mothers would take better control of their kids. Damn bad ass kids keeping up all that noise and shit. If they were my kids I'd put a good old fashioned leather belt to their behinds. Anyway, as far as parking is concerned, the library does have a small but cramped parking lot. There is also free street parking for up to two hours. After two hours it is recommended that you get a pass from the circulation desk to avoid getting ticketed. However, the parking rule is rarely enforced so you may get away with it on most days.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and patient. The space is clean and bright and - of. Purse - filled with books, and also other nifty things (from meeting. We were looking for the main library but my husband somehow came upon this address. Since it was taking us away from town, I knew that it was probably a smaller neighborhood branch. I was right! (as usual). Now, in order to "save face" we actually have to go inside and pretend that we really don't know that this is not the main library. He goes off to have a private conversation about being at the wrong location. I have a seat and start reading a magazine. He finally admits that we are at the wrong location. I simply smile as I allow him to wait while I slowly turn those pages. The punishment lasts about 5 minutes because I am not inherently cruel. You really have to earn my wrath. This is the perfect little library for just relaxing and reading. It is small and intimate and will help to minimize distraction (quiet with minimal foot traffic). There was a nice leather sofa (my choice) as well as study tables. It was very relaxing and can easily cause you to start nodding off. The staff at this location were very nice and helpful.

When I walked into the updated building, there was an overwhelming sense of joy, peace as well as familiarity and hospitality. Everyone speaks and smiles - as is/was customary during my childhood. I'll definitely be back more often since I'm back in Perry. And I can definitely say I truly feel at HOME here.

This is a medium sized library but there are plenty of places to sit. Some of the tables have a power outlet. It's not ideal as a work or study space but it was good for me this morning.
