SCAM!!! Said I needed EIGHT fillings ($5000). They put the pressure on to get them filled right away. Went for a second opinion with the reputable Dr. Zbroil. (They also charged me $20 to send my X-rays to Dr.Zbroil)Turns out I have ZERO cavities. They also said the panoramic X-ray Victoria dentistry did and billed me for was unreadable and useless! I would give a 0 if possible. After I filled out around 7 pages online and had an appointment they said my insurance shows I'm not covered. My insurance called them twice while I was on the phone and told them I'm covered. They faxed twice and emailed once showing what my coverage is and I have my card. I went in for my appointment and they told me that it still didn't prove I have coverage. I had also told them I was prepared to pay a portion of it. They wouldn't discuss anything but the insurance. Every time I came in for an appointment I was promptly taken to a room. I had the 6 Month Smile through them and it was more like 12 months sadly. My smile looks great now, the lady who worked on my teeth was named Nora, she was exceptional although some days she'd be out during my appointment so someone else would tend to me and it seemed they had no idea what they were doing. The front receptionist is always helpful and never ignored or put me off. Altogether the employees are very great people, it's just a matter of if you get the right person to work on you. read more

Started coming here when I moved to Victoria. Had my first cleaning and everything went well. I came back for my 6 month follow up cleaning and they wanted to have me do X-rays again. As long as I've been going to the dentist I've never had X-rays done 2x a year and I know 99% of insurance plans only cover X-rays annually. I was pregnant at the time so I refused the X-rays and also explained my insurance wouldn't cover the X-rays even if I wasn't pregnant. They refused to just do my cleaning. I decided to switch dentists since I am due for a cleaning (and still pregnant therefore do not want X-rays done) and I called to have my records sent to my new dentist. They are wanting to charge me $20 just to email them to my new dentist!!!!!! They won't show me the paperwork that I apparently signed saying I would pay this fee if ever needed. Long story short- this dentist office is basically scamming their patients by charging X-rays 2x per year knowing their insurance doesn't cover it. All in all leaving the patient with the bill for that X-ray. Highly recommend not going to this office. read more

They are horrible. Had to pay over 800 after insurance for a root canal. They canceled the appointment 20 minutes prior to the appointment then I had to call to find out when they were going to reschedule. They said it would be a month and a half before they could do it. Mind you we waited a month for the original appointment. Asked for my money back they said two to three weeks before I could have my money back. DO NOT USE them . I recently moved to Victoria, and needed to locate a dentist. The first appointment for a cleaning and exam was great, and I felt comfortable with the dentist. At the next visit, I was told that the cost for two cavities would be 342 dollars, which was after the 80% my insurance paid. I even tried to show the receptionist that the numbers were incorrect. My portion would be well over 40 percent of the total cost. Her reply was that this is how the office billed. I was told if I went to another dentist I would have to pay for x-rays myself since the insurance only pays once a year. I believe this is intentional overbilling. Very disappointed in the ethics of Victoria Dental. read more

This dentist office is unreliable and takes advantage of insurance policies/payments. My wife was seen by the dentist/hygienist and provided treatment that was less than what was billed to us and the insurance provider. I was seen for a simple scheduled filling and had to wait one hour in the office to be seen because the office/dentist was running behind. I waited and had the tooth filled. My next cleaning I was late by a few minutes, not an hour, and I could not be seen. The office personnel never asked why I was late or even cared about my reason. This office does not care about their clients or the community they serve. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! My husband and I had used this dentist office for the first time in January. They said my husband needed a more extensive cleaning so they rescheduled him for a periodontal appointment and had him prepay almost $500 based on what they thought insurance would not cover. He went to his appointment in March and at that time they gave him a sonicare toothbrush and waterpik device. When we got the EOB from our insurance co, it showed they charged the insurance $1100, for 4quads, when the contracted amount was $588, and of that insurance paid almost all of it. (This was an in network dentist.)No where on the EOB did it show charges for toothbrush and waterpik. So when we call Victoria Dentistry for explanation and refund,they constantly say the account manager is with patients and she'll call us back. She has yet to call back. My husband did manage to get a hold of the account manager in September, at which time she said that part of the prepayment was to cover the "equipment" and that a partial refund check would be sent. We have yet to see a refund. It is now October and we still get the same runaround when we call and we still have not gotten a refund check. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, NOR WILL I EVER USE THEM AGAIN. read more

I went to Victoria Dentistry because they had after hours appts, I had the initial exam and was told that I needed a scaling which was going to cost me $750.00 instead of the basic cleaning that was covered at 100% by my insurance and 2 fillings. So I told them I would think about it and call them back. So after thinking about it I decided I would just do a regular cleaning and have the fillings. So I called and spoke to Rachel and advised her I wanted to just to the basic cleaning and the fillings, she at that point told me that they would not do just the basic cleaning because it would be unethical! REALLY it's my mouth and I decide what is done to it and nobody has the right to tell me that I can't! So I went and had fillings done paid $147.00 at end of visit was told she only had to fix 1 filling so I would be refunded $74.00. I have yet to see the refund I called and they told me that Rachel was with a patient and will call me back. If I don't hear something soon I will go up there and camp out in there waiting area!! I do not recommend this dentist office. read more
