Firstly, the staff is professional, courteous and extremely efficient. Expect to be seen within minutes from your appointment (unless you do not have an appointment). They will call you to remind you of your appointment and also use text messaging to communicate with you. Secondly, the office is clean, calming and all the equipment is new and state of the art. There is usually soothing background music playing and the office has a very welcoming feel. If you have more complex dental needs such as myself, you will appreciate that there is an excellent endodontist (Dr. Gabriela Dempaire) there as well. Dr. Ramirez is very thorough in explaining what we work needs to be done before and during your procedure. She is also very patient and gentle when working. I hate getting novacane shots and she almost makes them bearable. The hygienist is very patient as well and checks in with you constantly to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. As far as pricing and insurance goes, they accept many insurances and if you are uninsured, they will work with you on finding ways to make your treatments affordable and also accept Care Credit (you can apply through them if you desire to do so). This is not one of those offices where they try to up-sell you hundreds of dollars worth of treatments and products you don't need. They are pretty straightforward when it comes to recommending what you need if anything at all. I cannot say enough great things about the office, the doctors and the staff. Don't look any further if you're looking for a caring, experienced and gentle dental provider (and by the way, I was not paid to write this review....I have over 20 years of dealing with sketchy dentists, dentists with poor bedside manners, inexperienced dentists, dental offices where you wait 2 hours even with an appointment and dentists where you are one of 4 patients they are working on at the same time).

The office checked our insurance and said no problem, we felt so relieved. 1 hr after dropping our son off, no cleaning. They handed over paper work requesting over $800 in payment. They wanted to perform all sorts of work knowing very well it took a lot just to get our son in there to get a cleaning, which he did not receive. They were apologetic but didn't do anything to accommodate him for the times he had to go. At least see him at his actual appointment time after two to three times going back for the same thing. Not to mention one of my fillings didn't seem to be done right, it wasn't filed correctly so it would scratch my tongue and it eventually fell out. I have found a new dentist that respects people's time. I'm in and out within an hour each time, I get seen at the time I'm scheduled for, and so far the work I've gotten done has been done really well and with care. You rarely even see the dentist when you come Paya Dental and when you do see Dr. Paya, she barely talks to you or explains anything. We will not return to Paya Dental!
