    Mr. Crawford was hired to evaluate the problems with my overflowing septic tank and then repair…read morethem. Mr. Crawford was on time and started work quickly. I was very impressed with how quickly he was ale to diagnose the problem. Mr. Crawford got to work on the issue quickly and then was able to resolve another issue with my pressure tank. Once the issues were resolved I gave Mr. Crawford $500 and he told me that he would return to level off the area he had to dig up in my yard. To me that sounded like he would return to complete more work... Right? Not the case, Mr. Crawford never returned and the promptly charged me 15% interest payments for each month as I tried to get him to return and finish the work. Like a fool, I gave up and payed the requested amount. Approximately $2,500. So a year goes by, and the pump Mr. Crawford installed quit working, also keep in mind it takes a significant time for the tank to fill so I would notice the over flow, so I don't know how long the pump had been out. Anyway, I figured call him, have him come check whats up and he can probably resolve it rather quick. Not so much, when I contacted Mr. Crawford he had the audacity to tell me I would have to pay $125 for him to come out and $85 per hour for him to resolve the issue I paid him $3000 for already... AND charge me for the cost of a new pump if it is not working. I understand stuff happens and things don't work like they should some times. 1 year? a pump that last 1 year? and then refusing to remedy the exact same issue you were paid to fix. No thanks, we'll try someone else for anything else. I think Mr. Crawford is a talented and useful repairman, but that is about it. If you have him work for you make sure to consider my warning and the others out there about his history. Thanks!

    Don't use Brown Heating & Cooling out of Salem Missouri, they told me i needed a new Compressor for…read moremy AC Unit that i bought from them just 6 years ago (Goodmen 5-ton 17 seer). They came out looked at the AC unit for about 25 minutes and said the COMPRESSOR burned up SAID THEY WOULD GET US A NEW ONE and left and never called back, we had to call them and track them down, they told me that they would get back to me in a few hours after talking with Cliff Brown again and after 6 days no word from them. We then called another AC repair company they came out and said it WAS NOT MY COMPRESSOR and that a simple $80 dollar part called a compasitor was not working, the new repair guy replaced the part in 5 minutes and the COMMPRESSOR was working and the house was cooling, I hate that Browns did this to us and like idiots we waited on them and they never called back it was during the heat wave last week (July 2022) and our home was so hot and i just got out of the hospital.... Never will we use Browns heating & cooling again and for peace of mind we are replacing the Unit they sold us with a new unit from a new company. This was heartbreaking that they never even have called back after telling us it was the more expensive part (Compressor) that went out, they out right lied to us about the part that went out and lied about telling us they would call back and take care of us! Don"t use Browns heating & cooling out of Salem Missouri they have lost their way and our respect, by the way this was the second time we had bought a home AC Unit from them, Never again Cliff Brown will we use your company ----this was soooo disgraceful!     I purchased a complete HVAC unit from this vendor a few years ago with the proviso that the unit…read morewas more efficient than the one I already had in my home. My unit was old and needed repairs but I saw this as an opportunity to become more efficient since better units were available. I also bought this unit because it was Trane and built in the US. I made it clear that I was looking for efficiency. Right off the bat there were problems with the installation and the unit operation to the extent that after a week with the unit running continuously it was necessary for a factory rep to come out to correct the problems. The factory rep did manage to make the unit stop running continuously. After several years of operation I can say that the unit is not more efficient but is far less efficient than what I had. I am now using an average of 350 gallons more propane each year (which is almost double what the old unit used) and an increase of over 25% on electric useage. I recently contacted Brown HVAC to inform them of this inefficiency and disappointment with the equipment but received no response. I hope your experience is better then mine. If I ever need a replacement it will not be Trane or Brown Heating and Air Conditioning.
