very poor customer service, sold us a ford f150, had numerous damage to 3 sides, was sold with the wrong tires and rims, offered a resolution than came back with nothing. they are not looking out for the end customer. they are only out for the bottom line!!!...do not buy from them, you will thank me!!!!! read more

They tried to steal my money. They took a refundable deposit, but when the sale didn't end up happening they refused to return my deposit . It took a week of arguing, getting Mastercard and the BB involved to finally get my deposit refunded . read more

The service provider Ashley needs to go. Completely unprofessional. My wife went for an oil change for 1pm. I met her there so we could go for lunch while it was getting done. They called us during lunch and said they had to run out and get a filter so the oil change wouldn't be done until close to 3. We called back at 2:40 to see when it would be done. Ashley had said "3 just like I told you". I dropped my wife off at 2:50 and she just called me saying she just got out at 4:15. Ashley tried adding a bunch of extra charges rather than look at the previous service records and was extremely rude during the process. Terrible, terrible service from Ashley. My truck was there several times for service and they didn't even bother to diagnose what causes the noisy sound. They rescheduled us for another week. They might be so busy not to recommend what is needed to be done quickly. read more

Had to drop a star and I would no longer recommend this place. After getting my car back, it started to make an annoying noise that was clearly the result of the work they had done. I took it back so they could fix that and the shop manager basically got rid of the noise by accident (by handing revving the engine to check for the noise and dislodging something that was stuck), but they refused to take responsibility that they had caused it in the first place. read more

Had an 11:00 appt., and they didn't start working on the truck until 3 hours later, finishing the work at 4:30. Specifically mentioned the tire pressure to be leveled out with nitrogen, and it wasn't. Problem being in the city with no vehicle for that long, we live 70k's north of Winnipeg. read more

would have been more. This is not my first truck from this location but it is the first since the name change. They were Parkside and starting this year was taken over by Vickar even I notice there have been changes. I love dealing with Gina so was willing to wait to see her and will continue to deal with her. I was offered to see another sales person but I declined. So I thought ok new changes so far so good they are making sure I am looked after. Well that changed when it came time to pick up my new vehicle. Made the deal on thurday night and they called friday to schedule a pickup time. We went with a monday so they could get the accessories in and get it ready. So now I have an appointment to sign the papers and get my new truck 5pm. (service has Friday, Saturday and all day monday to get it ready). I got there on time and had to wait over an hour to see the finance person ( they put other people into his office even though he clearly had an appointment I could clearly see it listed on his wall.) Found out also when I got there the truck wasn't fully ready to pickup, accessories were added but hadn't been cleaned. They need to remember when people book appointments that is what time they have available if the truck wasn't going to be ready all they had to do was call and ask if I wanted to re- schedule. I could tell both my sales person and finance person were less than impressed that I had an appointment and am being made to wait. By the time I got looked after the closest MPI place was closed so I had to drive around finding another one. This lack of communication and care for keeping my appoinment for me made me feel like my time was not valuable Some other changes that I don't like are I had to put money down just to see the offer. Last several times I have done a deal they make the offer and once you agree then you put something down to hold the vehicle while financing is put in place, not before you see the offer. I also found out this time the $500 I put down couldn't be put back onto my debit card had to be mailed to me in the form of cheque. Seriously... the same machine as previously and refunds are possible just another change I didn't like. So I guess I am saying I recommend Gina as the sales person I have never felt pressure from her and never get BS! Hopefuly once the changes from new ownership is fully implemented they get back to better time management. read more

Our experience with Parkside has not been great, but in fairness probably not much worse than most dealerships these days. Switched to Parkside when Keystone was bought by Birchwood who I like even less. We have an Escape and a Focus. First oil change there on the Escape (at 40K km) they recommended $500 of bogus service, service brakes, battery, and change the automatic transmission fluid and a couple of other things. Trouble is our Escape is a manual transmission, then they said the oil needed changing in it. Their own manual says it needs changing at 150K km. So clear they were trying to book unnecessary service to pad the books. Talked to the manager about that. Second issue was with the navigation on the Focus. DId not work from the day we got it. Got severe run around here. First was told it was the snow tires (tires were recommended by Ford), then told it was a known issue with no fix yet and they would call, never did. Booked another appt and the service guy told me it was not even a GPS system, that it used the tires and dead reckoning and blamed the snow tires again. Dead wrong. Finally I found a Ford service bulletin on the car and the GPS system, took it to them and they did the service and it has worked properly ever since. Why couldn't they just do that? So not impressed all around. And then we have the paint problem with the Escape and the Transmission problem with the Focus, but those are Ford problems not Parkside problems I guess. read more

Code P0171 popped up after just minutes of leaving the dealership. Fuel trim is around 35% so I'm washing my cylinders of oil by flooding them with gas to keep the air/fuel ratio in check. I brought the car to Subaru on Regent because I needed absolute reliability for the next few months and now the car is parked at home inoperable. Also, the cord to my obd reader is missing from the glove box after leaving the car at Subaru. I have NEVER taken it out of the car. I take the reader in so the batteries dont freeze but the cord always stayed in the car. I'm considering just going to a Toyota dealer and just buying something there. Hopefully they are more competent.

SECOND TIME AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had brought the truck in for an oil change and had ask the gentlemen to look at the front driver tire as it had a slow leak in the tire. When i went to come pick up my vehicle the oil change was done, along with some recommendations - change air-filter, $30 to change a burnt out light bulb ect.. This is the part that drove me nuts.. When asked about the drive tire, it was mentioned "Possible Nail on Inside of Sidewall - Call Cust with Best Option (if we can repair or not)" It was advised by "Ford" to have all four tires replaced, if i'm going to replace one. Reasoning is due to an inconsistent tread depth, it would be hard on the vehicles Trans-Axle when driving in 4x4.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I had asked if a seal would be able to fix the leak, and again the service rep said that "its ford recommendation to have all four tires replaced" .. So i politely said no thank you. I went to Canadian Tire, purchased a "Slim - Tire Sealant" and PROBLEM SOLVED! The tire has kept its air pressure for the past 5 days. read more

A complete cluster F! Owning a Lincoln is literally an inconvenience! Been getting my car serviced here for some time as part of my Lincoln Maintenance Plan. Brought the car in for service and brakes a month or so ago and had to get Lincoln Canada involved because these guys have no idea what is covered. Booked the car in again for the work and had the same trouble, then was told they have no one to do the brakes. These guys actually let us take the car with 3mm of brake remaining. So we get the car home and notice that for the second time the tech that changed the oil was unable to latch the underside cover which dragged its way home. I cannot tell you how happy I am taking my car in to Parkside Ford Lincoln at 2000 Main Street. The staff there are very friendly, quick and efficient. Moreover, Hayley goes above and beyond her work duties to connect with her customers and is very friendly, quick and always touching base to keep me up on the status of my car.
