I came here for lunch yesterday and followed up the meal with a walk around central Malmö. Highlights:
-Papas bravas: A 5 out of 5! Maybe it was the sauce or the perfectly cooked potatoes, or maybe it was that they reminded me of my Spanish host mom's patatas bravas from back in the day. Either way, a winner.
-Tortilla de patatas: 3. The biggest reason is that it arrived lukewarm at best, which sort of killed the dish.
-Ternera 3.5: Nicely cooked and seasoned, although the beef had so much fat that I feel like it weight down the dish.
-Sangria: 4 to 4.5. I've had a lot of sangria in my day (don't know whether that's a good or bad thing) and this one was absolutely solid. It had small pieces of apple inside which was nice. This sangria was, frankly, very easy to throw back.
Getting the server's attention was a task, as he was over talking with friends for quite a long time during the meal. I eventually got up to cue his attention. He was nice, although with few other patrons at the time, my glass was sitting empty for probably 20 minutes.
The vibe is one of Sevilla. From the music to the menu to the seseo/thetheo of the singers in the background music, there is southern Spain written all over this place. And for that, I give four stars instead of three. read more
