I see other studios promoting "#1 studio in Dallas" lol. But they hold no flame to the artist/engineer that is Chase Cotton. I'm recording, he has a TV in the booth where I can see him literally mastering as I record. This is a rare gem of a studio. It's very private. Chase gives you his full attention and makes sure the environment is yours and only yours during your sessions. Very professional and courteous. It's very clean and put together. Idk... Legacy Studios swears they're #1. But not only does Chase Cotton have them beat in quality, he also has them beat in PRICE! His rates are CRAZY CHEAP for the quality he provides. I tell him often that he's under valuing himself and his business. He should charge more for his hourly. But, he's such a Humble and selfless person, he wants to make his space affordable for the everyday person, not just the celebrities that come by every so often. All I'm saying is,if you want that PERFECT radio quality sound with the sauce that Chase Cotton provides, a dope atmosphere and a professional environment, SHOP WITH DEEP ELLUM RECORDING STUDIOS! In addition, their quad jam package is a great deal. You get four rehearsals for the price of three. Awesome place for any bands looking for a fairly priced rehearsal space!

Liked that i could walk out to the adjacent patio as needed to have a drink outside. There was a Renders food truck (unrelated to the venue) the night I went and I got a burger which was fine not great. Plenty of picnic table seating which was convenient. The burger was piping hot but the seasoning could have been better. Nice respectful crowd at the show I went to and I would definitely go back even though Denton is a bit of a haul for me. I drove a nice 4 hours from Houston to see my all time favs (Last Dinosaurs!) perform at this place and this venue did not disappoint. Since I went solo, I arrived early and joined the queue outside. As they were letting us in, they checked us in through ID and crossed our name off their list of ticket purchases versus the standard ticket scan. Maybe their system was down? Or maybe it was their way of double checking ages? Idrk but entry was pretty smooth so no issues there. I went inside to get a drink from the bar and it looks like theres a smaller indoor venue too so I'm sure that's all a good time too. Bathrooms were typical bar bathrooms; nothing fancy, just a place to do your business, check your fit, and go. There were free pads/tampons and even drug tests for your drinks in there too so I thought that was cool. Show was great, I always recommend getting concert earplugs to avoid the ear ringing, but maybe for this place to avoid the jump-scare that is a train passing by in the middle of a set, too! Hahaha Leaving the venue wasn't an issue. Since I got there early, I was able to park in the lot right next to it. I would check out their website for recommendations to park, though, since their lot could fill up quickly. I think theres a bunch of free street parking a block away, so if you don't mind walking that should be available too. Just keep an eye out for signage about towing, I know the empty lot in the construction site just in front of the venue may be tempting, but I was warned that their a fein for towing so watch out! Overall, I had a great time! Should any other of my favs stop by, I might be tempted to make the drive again
