Caledonian Road continues to surprise.
Vi Nam, a wonderfully random find on a random Saturday. And I dare this'll be my second fav after the Cafe East in Canada Water.
I've hit a few pho joints in London: all quite pricey even compared to New York but Vi Nam hits the sweet spot between bang for your quid and accessibility via public transport. For those who have been in search, you know what I'm talkin' about.
Pho bowls (soup noodles) all come in medium sized bowls but enough to silence a dude my size. Brisket and beef balls were fine though the beef slices weren't optimally thin, turning instead into chewy grey slabs. Soup base was nice, though.These start around £8 and up. Highly recommend the fried rolls - they made for great starters. read more
