The Watershed Hotel was the perfect spot! Our stylish, immaculate room overlooked the Sheboygan River. The hotel itself is modern, elegant, and spotless with an airy lobby where a continental breakfast is available each morning. The hotel staff--led by GM Bailey--is friendly and helpful. Sheboygan's not large and the Watershed is just a few minutes from the town's historical downtown. We're looking forward to returning to Sheboygan and another stay at the WH!

At all. The room itself was ok. No tissues, no phone, one single deadbolt lock. The worst was the layout of the step-in shower. In a bold move the designers thought it was a good idea to have just one side of the shower door open so when you turn on the water you can't help but get soaked. Even if you hold the detachable shower head you have to let it go at some point so you can get out and let the water warm up. When you do, it flies around like a garden hose. I got soaked. Ridiculous. I checked out a day early. I was out of patience. Even at $120/night. I'll pass next time.

The bartender who was working the bar side came to take my drink order when she noticed the dining room bartender was busy. I haven't had an OF in years but she made a great one. Our server, Nikki(?) was very attentive without hovering. Very pleasant even when it started to get busy. My friend & I both ordered hand breaded perch for dinner & Nikki told us to help ourselves to the salad bar. Oh my! How many days had they put out the lettuce mix & other salads?? The lettuce was very limp & wilty. The macaroni & pea salad just tasted "off" and the fluff salad had no taste at all. After that, I was grateful I didn't try any other salads items. Thankfully our fish came out and it was delicious! The breading was crunchy & served very hot. Fries & broasted potatoes were good also. My suggestion is to offer a traditional perch dinner with potato, rye bread, and cole slaw like most other area restaurants. If this had been offered I'd have been very happy with Al & Al's, but that salad bar was such an unappetizing turn off that we won't return for a good while.

The handicap accommodation turned out to be one grab bar for a bathtub-no walk in shower and no grab bars for the toilet. The 'chair' is a short length, one armed type lounger. General Manager did not respond to phone messages or emails. After multiple attempts, I was told that the business would not issue a charge credit for the duplicate charge. General manager stated I needed to formally dispute the duplicate charge with my credit card company. Hotel would not voluntarily refund the duplicate charge even after talking directly with my credit card issuer, who confirmed that their were two identical charges to my credit card account at check-out. If I could leave zero stars, I would.
