Get a book or other item here, digitally scan it and your card to check it out using self checkout system. Return it to any of the approx 30 library's in Hillsborough County. Free membership for residents of the county. This is a clean, organized, well kept library that wasn't over crowded and has plenty of computers, soft chairs, tables, laptop areas, kids area, and private conference room area. 1000's of movies and audio books to choose from, and many audio books can be used on an app on your phone and listened to using Bluetooth in your car.

This is a huge and nice library. It is very quiet and clean. As normal libraries, they have…read morecomputers (to include Mac's), printers, and meeting rooms. They also have plenty events for children. They have a snack and "break area". This location also stays later than most in the Riverview, Brandon, Apollo Beach area. They have multiple rooms that we frequently use for my neighborhood homeowners associate meetings. We have used the Art Studio for a meeting. It has local art (also throughout the entire library) and children art. When using that room it's long tables with various type of chairs and obviously, paint supplies off to the side but out the way when it comes to meeting time. We have also used the Community Room. This meeting room has a divider to adjust for small and large groups. This room has a more professional setting and the space to rearrange if need be. My only complaint is for the entire Hillsborough County Library. When reserving a room, you will never speak with an employee. The process is pretty inconvenient. You call and leave a voicemail, and they'll contact you back in the order of all their voicemails. If they can not hear your number you left in the voicemail clearly, you will not get a call back. The turn around time is usually within a week. There is also an email process.

They also provide flyers for seasonal events such as crafts fairs, arts festivals etc. For anyone looking for something to do whether from the area or not I am sure you will find something that peaks your interest ranging from free to small entrance fees as well as things to do with children of all ages, the family, solo or couples. Nothing short of that was the event I attended at Central Library on 4/21/18. The library hosted a fashion show that featured area students that designed dresses made from trash & other found / discarded items. What these young people came up with was absolutely miraculous, and the juxtaposition of those beautiful creations over the fact that we have a massive waste crisis on out hands in this world was really moving. One dress was made entirely of green soda bottles curled and extruded to create a flowing, bouncing ensemble mirrored by a hairdo of similar curl and body donned by the model. Another outfit top was made almost exclusively with a young lady's grandfathers old ties. Very creative! This is why I live in this part of Florida, and why I will continue to support the community and events they offer for many years to come.
