It's small inside, but jam-packed with a hundred unique musical novelties. Jewelry shaped like instruments, umbrellas with notes on them, bowties with piano keys, wine bottle holders made from actual piano keys, a small selection of vinyl records, books...one on how to tune a piano, CDs, etc... I can't remember it all, and it was quite overwhelming. I do know they didn't have a welcome mat, which is what I really wanted. I was told they'd hopefully have one by the holidays. So I'll be returning...also because it's where I travel for work. But if you're in Staunton, this shop is not to be missed. It's like a musical etsy conglomerate. Respect it.

They come to Staunton from all over the world and It is a great blessing to have them here to share their talent. While here, they are guided by the Institute's staff to better perform and to gain knowledge from complementing study. We have attended two or three performances and being surrounded by 50 or more stringed instruments, performed expertly, is a very special evening. It is a wonderful surprise that they are located in Staunton and not a large metropolitan area!

My husband had the Smokehouse Platter and thought it offered plenty of tasty food. I had the Carolina Gold Chicken Crusty Roll and upgraded my side to the Charred Corn Succotash. Absolutely delicious!! After lunch, we walked the property, visiting the horses, donkey, and stables. Played an assortment of outdoor games they had available, too, such as Donut Toss, Cornhole Golf, Sand Volleyball, and Outdoor Connect Four. Stable Craft Brewing also has lodging available. We're seriously considering a trip to do just that! We found this place during travel. Its laid-back atmosphere, fabulous music, great food, and fun entertainments were well worth the visit. Highly recommend!

What a cool vibe of a theatre space…read more My husband and I attended our first SLTE production (Snowbound) recently. Reclaiming a former commercial space, SLTE has turned it into a hip theatre space that includes a front bar and lounge area with the theater space in the back. The bar area is modern and chic and served some excellent holiday themed cocktails. The restrooms are modern and have a European feel. The stalls are all private rooms so there is no need for gendered labeling. The performance space is intimate and flexible which makes it exciting to think about seeing other shows there. The show we saw featured two excellent actors with professional experience in LA and NYC who now reside in Staunton. We will definitely be back to see more shows! One thing I would recommend considering. Many, myself included, have sensitivities to various scents. There were a number of candles burning throughout the lobby and bar. While they were beautiful and helped create ambience, they can also create headaches and migraines in some.

When we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised - the arcade area was very modern and all of the games worked as they should (often not the case with arcades). We started with my grandson riding the go-kart for his age. He loved it. Then we did a ride with me driving and him next to me and that was fun as well - the karts were all in good shape. After playing in the arcade and getting a lot of 'tickets' he cashed in on a bunch of times. After that, we played laser tag. It was a legit laser tag place. We wondered how this building could possibly have a legit laser tag facility in it but it's actually upstairs on the whole floor. The laser equipment all was in good repair and worked as it should. We had a great time. The staff were all very friendly and also patient as my grandson pondered all of his choices with the 'tickets' he won. They apparently do birthday parties as well. We will definitely come back when we're in town next!

We had to wait about 30 minutes to go-kart because it was prime time on a Saturday afternoon, but the time spent on the track for the cost (only $7) felt worth it. The employees were way more patient, attentive, and kind than I usually see at kids' amusement places, and I appreciated that they gave my daughter a chance to try the junior kart before moving her to the kiddie cart when she couldn't quite grasp it. A+ customer service, and we will visit again!
