We came a long way to a week-long event and we stayed in Harrisonburg both on the way and on the way back (halfway). I had found the store through Yelp and was eager to visit. We missed the business hours the first trip and got there at 4:50 on the way back. The clerk was so kind to stay open nearly an hour longer so the five of us could shop and see the art and studios. (All of us are artists). She was more than gracious! I'm in a power wheelchair which got caught on the rug at the check out and she was completely unfazed and kind about me thrashing about, causing her to move many things. The prices were a bit steep on many things but that didn't stop me from buying a lot of goodies I've searched for a long time. I left very happy, and so did my companions! We will all gladly go again next year if not before!

The plants are very health with such an interesting assortment. I've purchased multiple different plants that have thrived with repotting once home. Succulents, a large assortment of air plants (I purchased 5 different ones on my recent visit). Other plants I've purchased from their selection include a split rock succulent, a moon plant and some cactus that actually looks like a stem of broccoli. It's a must for anyone interested in house plants and unusual gifts. I find that there are a few plants that are a little pricey for my taste but they are also ones you are unlikely to find elsewhere. In that case they do become a great value. Glens is a quirky little store that I find delightful…read more I'm a photographer, so I usually spend the bulk of my time perusing the photo gear. The used photography gear is not terribly well organized, but if you're willing to dive in and brave the dust, you can find some real vintage gems. They stock newer stuff as well, including all the current Canon EOS DSLR bodies, along with a decent selections of lenses. They always seem to have a staff member knowledgeable about photography in the store; yesterday, I passed a good half hour talking shop with the man behind the counter, and walked away with a new lens at a respectable price. Their other inventory is eclectic, to say the least, but it's the kind of place to go for something unusual. I vacation in this area nearly every summer, and a stop at Glens is always on my itinerary.
