I struggle with hormonal acne as a 30yo person with PCOS (you know those deep painful zits!), and I decided to see if Tessa could help me out during a 90 minute facial. I basically have never had a facial, and i had no idea what to expect, but Tessa was lovely. She made sure to start with products that likely wouldn't irritate my skin, telling me that we can try other stuff at another session once we figure out how my skin responds. I told her about my acne issues, and she was super sweet about it. She told me what I was doing right and what I needed to fix/update about my skin routine. She asked a bunch of questions about my habits, never made me feel judged, and was happy to explain everything she was doing and its purpose. I waited a few days after the facial to review, and WOW my acne is greatly reduced. It's better than it's been in a while. I think this service is more than worth it. She has a really still, calming energy (where can I get that - ha, ha). I got a 60-minute CBD massage. One of the things that I really enjoyed is that she combined a mixture of different massage techniques, including ones I've never experienced. Her style is intuitive and coaxing, rather than forcing. Based on reviews, it seems most folks flock to Vetiver for the haircuts. I wanted to take the time to highlight my first experience (of what I hope to be more) here getting a body massage and facial massage. For the body massage, Alexis worked with me to ensure all my target areas were addressed with adequate pressure. She listened to everything I asked for and delivered with a revitalizing experience. I also did a 30 minute add-on with Tuesday for a facial massage with a Kansa wand. I had never done this before but was drawn to it because of its specific ability to depuff the face and move lymph. I had a cold last month that left residual congestion in my sinuses and it helped a lot. My face felt and looked very toned after. Being at Vetiver is a cozy and pampering experience. I've been going here for a few years now. I started with haircuts by Barbie and then added massages. Both Barbie and Tuesday give excellent massages. I have also received cupping from Tuesday. And more recently my five year old and husband also get their hair cute here by Barbie. I believe Barbie will still will do an outdoor cut by request. My five year old is super loyal to her hair stylists (she didn't have a haircut until age three), which I wasn't prepared for. The first time I took her I convinced her by telling her that Barbie was really funny, and she is. So after the first haircut I asked what she thought. "Well, i hope that wasn't her funniest. Great experience at Vetiver with Tuesday! Got a wax and I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. The check in process is quick - a short form with basic information and Tuesday took me back immediately! The ambiance is calming, comfortable, and cozy. The wax was essentially painless and Tuesday took the time to ask me my preferences and provide information about the wax itself. Highly recommend this spot for your waxing needs! Tuesday and Barbie are absolute geniuses, and some of the sweetest people I've ever had the opportunity of meeting. This space takes you out of Oakland and puts you directly into a magical, holistic forest. From the second you walk in, you will feel instant calm. The smell of the incense, the soft music, and the friendly folks who greet you make you feel instantly welcome. They offered us cold fruit-infused water and I was in Heaven. Cut to the treatments- WOW. I had the 75 minute signature facial, and my partner had the 75 minute massage. HEAVEN. I almost fell asleep several times, listening to the calming music and feeling Tuesday's soft hands massage all the impurities from my face. Everything just felt right. Everything she used on my face was calming and smelled unbelievably good! I didn't know what she was doing, but I did know that I never wanted to leave. Her space was transformative. Lots of Himalayan salt candles, small shrines, interesting art. It was a beautiful settup and definitely a relaxing haven. So I just had a haircut at vetiver today . I had my appointment with Janine . She told me she's running 20 minutes late which ended up to be 40 minutes . I waited there 40 minutes even after having an appointment which was so not professional. Then comes the hair cut . It was aweful . I asked for some longer layers and face framing in the front . She did such a choppy job . The layers didn't blend in at all and were so uneven. I'll have to go to another place now to get my hair fixed after paying them 125 dollars for a haircut . I think super cuts would do a much better job at face framing than this place . read more

She listened to everything I asked for and made sure to check in with me along the way.
