    Benjamin post surgery.
    Laura P.

My hopes and prayers for a positive experience were met and exceeded by your entire team- from the front desk representatives answering the phones and helping me with questions or to check in, to the nurses caring for Benjamin in his post surgery stay (carrying him because he wanted to be held lol), to Dr Sebestyen who removed Benjamin's gallbladder mucocele flawlessly and called us on a Sunday to follow up on how he was doing post surgery during his recovery. We could not have asked for a better experience, treatment or care. Thank you, Dr Sebestyen for caring about our dog as you would hope someone would care for your own, and for treating us with respect and compassion. Thank you for coming into the room and looking us in the eyes, and shaking our hands. Thanks for your patience in answering our questions, hearing our concerns, and thank you most importantly for taking such good care of Benjamin and performing his surgery with no complications. He was off of all meds in 5 days and stitches out in 2 weeks. We are incredibly grateful to you all and everyone is doing an exceptional job. You are setting the bar high in your profession- thank you for renewing my faith in Veterinary facilities after some truly horrible prior experiences. VSS- OC, is being led by leaders who care about values, and lead with values and you can see that in how the staff carry themselves and the positivity that everyone exhibits. The entire feeling you get from the staff is that they are striving for the best possible care and experience and staff's morale is positive, and high. We can tell this entire team genuinely was providing the best care possible to Benjamin and it means the world to us.

Puzzle to keep him busy but quiet and down. It worked plus chew toys.

Dr. Peter Sebastian was phenomenal with DUKE and the staff was amazing. We have a very vocal two-year-old GS. We were referred to Dr. Sebastian veterinary surgical specialist for Dukes Uninvited Anconeal Process. Medial Coronoid Disease. Surgical Procedure: Arthroscopy ( Unilateral Elbow. ) It was very easy to get an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Sebastian and appointment for Dukes surgery Was the following week. The building is very impressive and clean. Everybody was professional and kind and empathetic Dr. Sebastian is one of the best and understands and knows dogs, specially GS. The day of surgery drop off was 6 AM and the sweet gal greeted us and reassured us. He's in good hands and took DUKE back. We received text messages when DUKE was being prepped for surgery, going into surgery. Dr. Sebastian understands that German Shepherd's are accessible to Malignant Hyperthermia which means DUKE had a clean OR room, which I so appreciate! Because I do have Malignant hypothermia very rare one in 1 million for humans. Very common in German shepherds. We received updates and I could check in on DUKE at any time and I asked if I could see a picture of him and she says oh he just quieted down, but she said I'll try to see if I can sneak and get a picture, and she did and I cannot thank her enough. It warmed my heart and put me more at ease. DUKE came through surgery beautifully and the two pieces of loose bone were removed that never did grow correctly from developing in the womb. We went back today on June 14 for a suture removal and Dr. Sebastian remove the sutures no problem and he liked the bandage I purchased for DUKE on AMAZON. I asked Dr. Sebastian would you like me to send you the link to the bandage, and Dr. Sebastian said I'd like that very much, so I also sent Dr. Sebastian the link to the wrap I purchased for DUKE, which stops him from chewing or licking or scratching it. I especially appreciated the discharge papers online and in person. The DC Papers are amazing. I encourage everyone to read the discharge papers before picking up your pet they will answer every question you have so detailed. I truly appreciate the information so clear so helpful and we're still on the road to recovery which means DUKE is still quiet and down And he is the best patient. I truly believe DUKE read the discharge papers before I did.!! Thank you Dr. Sebastian and your team for taking excellent care of Duke.! You and your team are absolutely phenomenal and I highly recommend Dr. Sebastian and his team to anyone whose pet needs surgery.! if you ever have a question you may text or email them and send pictures by email only and they will respond quickly. Thank you for your empathy and the care that you gave DUKE during his surgery and hospital stay. We appreciate you and we thank you very much and Dr. Sebastian you are one in a million.! ! Payment was easy and medication instructions were clear and the medications were ready when we picked up Duke at noon the following day . On the day of DC Duke turned 3 years old March 31. What a birthday to be pain free and to come home. ‍ Thank you so very much! Wayne "Jeanette Scheiern." Duke Woof Duke said " Thank you for giving me my pumpkin bones my mom makes from scratch. Thank you Dr.Sebastian for taking me out of PN! Duke! Woof.

Dr. Thomas Keeshen and the entire team at VSSOC gave my cat, Stormie, her life back. We traveled from Las Vegas, Nevada on July 25, 2025 for Stormie's TECA-LBO surgery consultation. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we were in the right place. Stormie was diagnosed with a rare ear cancer called ceruminous gland carcinoma at just 3 years old. Dr. Keeshen took the time to explain everything clearly, compassionately, and honestly. He never rushed us, answered every question, and helped calm an incredibly stressful situation. Stormie underwent surgery the very next day, due to Dr. Keeshen accommodating us being from out of state, which I am immensely grateful for. She had a TECA-LBO (Total Ear Canal Ablation and Lateral Bulla Osteotomy) which is a major and delicate surgery to remove her entire left ear canal and Dr. Keeshen performed it with incredible skill. He called me to let me know as soon as she was out of surgery to let me know everything went well. Her margins came back clean, her lymph nodes were clear, and today she is officially cancer-free, living her best life. I truly believe that Dr. Keeshen's precision, experience, and thoroughness made all the difference. I also want to deeply thank the tech staff and the overnight nurses. They treated Stormie as if she were their own -- checking on her, keeping her comfortable, and making sure she was safe and cared for around the clock. Knowing she was in such loving, attentive hands meant everything to me, especially being so far from home. I texted the overnight nurses multiple times during her overnight stay being an anxious mama, and I received a response each time that put me at ease. Even after coming home, I was able to reach the nurses through the text number with any concerns I had during her recovery. They also were able to send her prescriptions seamlessly to her home vet here in Las Vegas. This experience could have been terrifying, but instead we felt supported every step of the way. If you are facing a serious diagnosis or a complicated surgical decision for your pet, I cannot recommend Dr. Thomas Keeshen and VSSOC highly enough. They gave me more time with my girl, and that is something I will be forever grateful for. Thank you again VSSOC and Dr. Keeshen for saving my Stormie! (This photo was sent to me by one of the amazing overnight nurses caring for Stormie during her stay at VSSOC)

Dr Walker is the best! My little dog was attacked by two huskies. After a failed surgery at a different vet i brought him here for a new surgery and he is healing perfectly now. It was a chronic case with a very hard to close infected wound. Thank you so much for saving my baby

Omg I have to say What an incredible and wonderful experience that I had Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Tustin Irvine area close to the District shopping center. From the very kind and sweet receptionists, the caring and loving technicians and caretakers, super professional nurses and most importantly the incredible surgeon Dr Peter Sebestyen. The doctor was confident and very careful and did a beautiful job on my little buddys surgery. He explained all the risks and everything that was going to happen and spent a lot of time with me so that there was no surprises. He removed part of my dogs liver with a very large cancer/mass in it and less that 5 days later my dog is as good as new! Even the stitching is well done . Dr Peter Sebestyen is the best veterinary surgeon in California in my opinion . (He even has BEST in his last name)!! The follow up was great and quick responses from him and the team were really appreciated. They are very professional and you can feel good that they will do the best job they can do for your pet. Thank you Veternary Sugical Specialists in Tustin/ Irvine!

As a frenchie mom, surgery is scarier than ever. I went in for a consultation for BOAS & neuter for my boy, with Dr. Keeshen. The consultation was great, he was very thorough. He explained the risks, the recovery, what to expect. Fast forward two weeks, I dropped my boy off around 7am. I called a couple times to get updated before surgery. At 12 I got the text that he was going into surgery. At 1:18 Dr. Keeshen called me with the great news that my boy is awake and in recovery. He explained the next 12-24 hours are crucial due to post op complications. I called every hour up until 6pm, I was told I can text. So then I started to text every hour (may seem obsessive but I was worried) the nightstaff. They were all great, Julia, Kelly, etc. they answered every single text. Next morning at 9:30 I called and my boy was ready to go home. We are now home and in recovery! Thank you VSS for making this nerve wrecking experience a little easier on me. Communication was amazing and so was their staff. Cleanliness of the center shocked me! You couldn't tell it was for pets. I hope my boy never needs surgery again, but if he does-- I will make the drive here!

This review is long overdue. I've been bringing my dog, Chelsea, to OC Veterinary for 10 years,…read moreever since I moved her down from the Bay Area. Chelsea recently passed away at 17, almost 18. She had such a long, happy life because of the care she received here. Chelsea was my baby, and I know how hard it can be to find a good vet. Pets can't talk, but you can see when they are genuinely cared for--and Chelsea got the best care at OC Veterinary. From the receptionists to the doctors, she was loved by everyone, and I am so grateful for that. Chelsea saw both Dr. Horn and, mostly, Dr. Nikki--both are exceptional veterinarians. We saw Dr. Nikki the most, and we had a very special connection with her. After Chelsea passed, Dr. Nikki even reached out to check on us, which was incredibly kind. She is practical, compassionate, and everything you could want in a vet. Chelsea also saw the groomer, Heather, who was very gentle and careful with her. Chelsea had back issues and was an older little lady, so it was comforting to know she was in safe hands. Sandra and Steve also made a big impact on Chelsea's life, especially Steve. They cared for her like she was their own family. Steve even called to check on us after Chelsea passed, which meant so much. I'm sorry this review comes so late, but I feel Chelsea would have wanted me to write it, and I want to honor her memory. No one enjoys visiting the doctor, but I am so grateful that we found such a wonderful facility to care for Chelsea. I loved her with all my heart, and after our family, OC Veterinary loved her most.

I took him to a different hospital at first, and the experience there was very poor and depressing. It felt like they were just doing business, not caring for a living being who was terrified and hurt. Three weeks later, Pepper suddenly stopped eating and began throwing up everything he tried to eat. That's when I brought him to Lee Animal Hospital. His liver had started failing, and the chances weren't good. My daughter and I went to pick him up each day during his three days of treatment, hoping he might have another miracle in him. From the beginning, Dr. Lee was clear and honest about Pepper's condition. I appreciated that more than anything. He didn't try to give me false hope or push unnecessary treatments. I never once felt like he was taking advantage of the situation -- he was simply being truthful, patient, and compassionate during an incredibly painful time. The rest of the team was kind and tried their best. Many of them were very young, but you could see they genuinely cared about Pepper and wanted to help. Even though Pepper didn't get better, I'm grateful for the integrity and care Dr. Lee showed, and for the effort the whole team put into supporting us through Pepper's final days. Pepper was a fighter -- gentle, loyal, and braver than any little dog should ever have to be. After everything he survived, he deserved honesty and compassion at the end, and that's exactly what Dr. Lee gave him. For that, I'll always be thankful.
