I would definitely recommend Vet Park Potomac. We worked with Dr. Mari and Nathalia. They've been amazing in caring for our cat Lulu. The first time we visited Lulu vomited all night until there was nothing left in her stomach, Vet Park Potomac were able to fit us in the next day and her conditions improved a lot in three days. We've had several follow up visits and Dr. Mari always pays a lot of attention listening to our concerns, and Lulu usually gets better after the medications. The facility is very nice and clean, cleaner and newer than other vets we've been to, our cat is always comfortable when visiting. They're incredibly easy to reach, a real person is always there to answer the phone and they will know your cats situation well. They will also usually follow up with you the next day. We feel that the front desk staff is very helpful and much better trained compared to other vets. read more

Kind, attentive, and lots of follow-up. I have been taking my two cats to Veterinary Park Potomac for a year now (two annual visits). The space is clean and bright. And the staff and doctors have both been very welcoming, generous with their time, and very warm to my pets. They have been very prompt about following-up with lab results and written notes. And they also followed-up by phone a couple of days after our visit to merely check in on the cats after their (uneventful) exams. Overall, a really positive experience. read more

I went here initially because of the reviews. I've taken my dog numerous times for various issues (my dog just turned 1) and they have been nothing but fantastic. The two doctors take their time with us during visits explaining everything in detail. The vet techs are all very patient as well and always make sure that my dog feels at ease during visits even though it may not be too pleasant for him (because of shots and other assessments he may not like). I recently just transferred my older dog here as well because of how much I like their service. I highly recommend them! read more

I can genuinely see why this place has a full 5 star rating: Dr. Katie, the vet techs, and the front desk were so patient and welcoming, and provided full transparency in both the billing estimates and my senior dog's care. They took the time to answer my many questions and are current in the latest canine vaccination and health guidelines. They made sure to follow up the morning after to see how my dog was reacting to the checkup and shots. I cannot recommend this place enough. Consultation fee was $96 for the visit and I left with more than enough info needed about my dog's health. We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Katie. The staff here was just lovely. Everyone was so nice and patient with our 12 week old puppy. He absolutely loved it there. Dr. Katie took time to explain the puppy phase, the recommended shots and non-required shots that may be beneficial, the pet insurance and the interaction/relationship between our new puppy and our older female dog. We did not feel rushed or just being pushed through the process. My husband was very impressed by the professional and sincere concerns of the doctor and staff. The office is very clean and modern. There are jars of treats for your dogs. Pricing was reasonable. I had expected to pay more because of the location of the office. I feel like we found the right vet for our puppy. Planning to switch our older dog to this vet office. There is some street parking but we parked by the Harris Teeter, where lots of parking was available. In the retail complex, there is also a fenced in dog park and the vet office is near lots of restaurants. Great location. read more

My dog and I are very attached to each other and his physical and emotional well being are very important to me. It is obvious they are very important to Dr. Katie also. The office is beautiful and very comfortable. The furniture is very pet friendly, which is a nice touch. As a first time dog owner, I was in search of the best veterinary doctor in the area and one that was compassionate, provided a positive experience at each visit, and genuinely cared about my the health and wellbeing of my puppy. From my very first call until this very day, I have always had positive interactions with everyone on the team. I know dogs have a tendency of being fearful of the vet, but my Morkie and I have never had that issue at Veterinary Park Potomac. This practice aims to be a fear free place for every pet that walks through their doors and they truly do everything to ensure that in the way they interact and care for your pet. The moment you walk through their doors, you are greeted with warm welcomes and lots of love, which is why my puppy always enjoys his visits. (Yes, even if he has to get his vaccines!) Dr. Katie is THE best! She is so genuine, kind, and knowledgeable. She has provided excellent care and has guided me through a lot of different areas of pet ownership during the first few months since I have brought my puppy home. Dr. Katie ensures you are well informed so that you walk away feeling confident and equipped to make educated decisions when it comes to your pet's health and well-being. Each vet visit is very thorough and it is always exciting to to share all of your pet's updates with Dr. Katie as she celebrates each milestone with you. I love the support and reassurance she gives you as a new pet owner too! Also, the entire staff is just as fantastic! Our first vet visit was far from intimidating for my puppy. The vet techs (shout out to Rachel, Roxy, Emanuel, and Kathy!) have always made my puppy so comfortable with their approach. For example, during my puppy's first vet visit, I loved how at one point we were all sitting on the floor with my puppy actively engaging with him during the examination while discussing important information about his health and wellness. This interaction alone made him so excited to be there and took the fear out of being at the vet. I am pretty sure my puppy thought we were all there for a play date (LOL!), but since then my puppy feels like he is there to visit friends at each appointment versus wanting to run away the moment he sees he is at the vet. Also, another huge shout out to Jessie (VPP's Practice Manager) who is the absolute sweetest person! She is so helpful and patient with me, especially when I called to book my puppy's first appointment. She answered every one of my questions and walked me through what to expect during the first visit. This, of course, put my mind at ease as I anxiously prepared to bring home my first puppy. Jessie even helped me through the health insurance process, which I highly recommend every pet owner to have for their fur baby! One thing I really appreciated is how transparent this practice is with their services and associated costs. Prior to my first visit I asked for an estimate of my upcoming appointment and they were happy to provide it to me via e-mail. (Again, this is super helpful for a first time dog owner!) They are thorough and make sure that you understand the types of services and care that will be administered during your visit. Also, the team provides you with options and recommendations to help guide your decisions when electing for additional care during your visit or future visits. I understand some practices can be pushy, but I have never had that experience with Veterinary Park Potomac. They are terrific with their communication, whether that is a text message reminder prior to your appointment, a follow up call after each visit to check in on your pet, and a detailed summary of your visit via e-mail. We are absolutely obsessed with Dr. Katie and her team! We take our dog and cat to her. Dr. Katie is kind, patient, and so knowledgeable. She recommends care for your pets like she would for her own. I'm always impressed by her, she's gotten on the floor to cut our dogs nails, gives the quickest shots I've ever seen to our nervous dog, and she will even step out of the office to examine your dog in the park instead so that they aren't as nervous. They are very passionate about creating positive experiences for your pets. They really emphasize comfort for the whole family and their office is beautiful. They don't overbook so you're rarely passing other people and their pets, it always feels like you're their only client which is really great for our reactive dog. Dr. Katie and her staff will spend however long it takes to educate you and ensure your pets get the best care possible. They answer any question under the sun and never make you feel foolish for asking. They answer emails promptly, even over the weekends when they can. They've answered my frantic call on a Friday at closing time and they followed up with me throughout the weekend to see how our dog was doing. The rest of the staff (techs, front desk) are also insanely knowledgeable and they remember who you and your pets are. It's always the warmest welcome when we come in, our dog has grown very anxious of the vet as she's gotten older but she charges on in through the door every time to be greeted by all the lovely ladies--if that isn't a testament of the superior care they provide then I don't know what is! Can't even put into words how grateful I am for them! My primary vet (who I have seen for 10+ years) is located in Clarendon, VA - and I had previously taken my dog to Dr. Katy at VPP for an ailment, as they are located down the street from where I live. This morning I called (in a panic) because my dog, who has severe allergic reactions, woke up with what looked like a massive hive on her nose. They were fully booked, yet still told me to come right in. They took care of us within minutes no questions asked. My dog is quite nervous, and all of the staff, and Dr. Katy were so kind and patient with her. They treated her promptly, and efficiently; and saved my very anxious puppy a trip to the Emergency Vet.
