This clinic wanted to put my dog down. A year ago, my teacup chihuahua, Felix, was seen here. He developed CHF. He was given lasix and put on oxygen. After a half day stay at the hospital, we were given a sales pitch about euthanasia and cremation. We repeatedly said no, and asked that they give us some lasix (furosemide) to take home with us. They refused. We left anyway, and took Felix to a different clinic that did write a prescription and let us take a bottle of furosemide home. A year later he is still alive and thriving. Stay away from this place during an emergency unless you want to get a sales pitch for euthanasia. read more

My experience today at Veterinary Emergency Group was the best I've ever had at any vet in the 23 years I've lived in Seattle. I called with a sick elderly hamster - she had a prolapsed bowel and was suffering. They were so compassionate and very responsive. I brought her in right away and knew we needed to end her life. It was a difficult decision for me and emotional- she was over three years old and well loved as a class pet. The nurse that took me in was so kind and reassuring - and the doctor saw me in less than 20 minutes. The pricing was completely fair and reasonable- they didn't charge me lots of fees. I was not taken advantage of - this is a place I can trust and I'm so glad they are in our community. They let my little hamster have an end of life with dignity and kindness. I brought my poor kitty here after he walked across a hot stove and they had me checked in before i even got there. I walked right in and was in a room within a minute. Dr.Runte was incredible, explained everything and was very quick in getting him pain meds and a treatment plan. No stars, we brought our dog in and she was killed because of a procedure done. They sent us home after charging $700.00 plus dollars and she went down hill quickly from sepsis. We brought her back and they realized what happened and sent us to a surgeon who charged $5,000.00 for a surgery that was never going to save her. We brought our dog here late on a Monday night when he was struggling to breathe. They took us in quickly and Dr. Willis gave a very clear assessment of our dog's status and suggested treatment options. We were moved to a private room where they proceeded to complete a blood test and put in an IV for antibiotics. They let us pay online at the end of his treatment, so we were able to take him home within two hours of our original arrival. Their staff was very calm, polite, and professional. The most earned five stars I have ever given. A couple nights ago our dog Guppy was vomiting up insane amounts, having trouble standing/walking, had a distended stomach, and was refusing to eat. None of the vets in our neighborhood were open/accepting more patients and our usual vet office was closed. My boyfriend and I were panicked. VEG was one of the only emergency vets open at the time. They have a phone line you can call and talk to a doctor about your pet's symptoms so they can determine whether or not you need to take them into the ER; they were very quick to respond. The vet was very kind and calm on the phone. Since our car was at the mechanic and we had no way to get our dog there, the vet even offered to send us an uber. When we arrived, they brought us back right away. They have an open floor plan with lots of comfortable benches for owners to sit on and will bring a bed and blanket for your pet to stay comfortable. It is so clean and high tech.The doctor got to us really quickly despite it looking like a fairly busy night. All the staff was so kind to both us and our dog and did a great job calming everyone's nerves. They even let us watch through the door while they did x-rays on our dog so that we could be with her the whole time. While we waited, they offered us drinks and snacks (they've got a great selection in the lobby including coffee and capri sun and doritos . . . which is the perfect stress food lol). The vet and techs did a great job of explaining everything to us so that we left feeling confident about the treatment of our dog going forward and encouraged us to call back if we had any questions. I immediately recommended them to every one of our pet owner friends once we returned home. I am so thankful they were there when we needed someone most. Thank you VEG! read more

We had to take our kitty here after he had difficulty walking and appeared to be in pain. Luckily for him, it was just an acute sprain and he has since healed up 100%. The staff at VEG were amazing. It was so busy when we went--the place was full and there were many still waiting to be seen in the treatment area. We were told it would be awhile when we checked in and understood (it took about 2 hours or so all told), they triaged the sickest/severely injured to be seen immediately...for example, we saw a poor dog receiving CPR. This is a true animal hospital--so keep this in mind if you have to wait. As such and because of the open concept of the treatment area, you may see animals in pain or injured and your pet will be seen in order of the sickest to least sick. I can't say enough about how caring the vet was who treated our baby--she did a complete and thorough exam and was so caring. We would definitely go back if another emergency presented itself. My dog a standard poodle was severely bitten by a Carne Corso Italian mastiff at the Bothell pop-up dog park this last summer. I realized my dog had been severely bitten after the bleeding soaked through his thick hair. I took my dog to veterinary emergency group in Redmond about 8 PM that night. They immediately took him in and evaluated and operated on my dogs hind ankle. I was very pleased with the treatment my dog and I receive from the staff and surgeon during the process of about four hours. After five stitches, surgery, medication and about a month recovery my dog is back to normal and jumping and howling about in happiness at local dog parks. Thanks to VEG. Our 110lb Mastiff passed after 7pm in early February. Sable was 11yrs old. We stayed on the floor with her for some time after she was gone and realized that we couldn't move her. We are senior citizens and couldn't lift her and only had a small rental car that doesn't allow pets. By this time, she was becoming unpleasent to have in the living room. My Veterinarian office wasn't able to help other than to offer suggestions of others who might help. It took about an hour following suggestion after suggestion that led me to VEG Lynnwood. It's not their usual procedure, but three wonderful ladies came and took Sable to a group cremation and sent use a paw print. I can't say enough good things about this emergency clinic. I have been there 3 times in 2024, and everyone is so kind and caring. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel supported, seen, and heard. And the care given to my cats is always excellent. The veterinarians that I have seen here - Dr. Jenny Ladd and Dr. Kelsey Roberts - were two of the nicest vets I have honestly ever met, and I've been taking pets to the vet for decades. The technicians and receptionists are amazing too, just so much care goes into every interaction. The facility is really clean and feels state of the art. The parking is fantastic. It's even shares a parking lot with a Petco, which was so helpful for us - my partner was able to run and grab supplies before we left the clinic, so that we would have what we needed at home. We had to put our dear dog, Bailey, down last weekend. Since it was a weekend we could bot do this with our regular vet. So, we called VEG at the recommendation of a family friend. We, my wife and teo teenage daughters, brought Bailey in and they provided us with such competent and compassionate care. They provided us a private, quiet room with soft lighting, gave us lots of time and space to say goodbye to Bailey, and competently provided Bailey with the IV port and the end of life medicine. They also helped us decide about after death options. It was such a hard thing to go through, to say goodbye to this sweet soul that was our Bailey, but the care and kindness and competence we were met with made this a little easier. It felt like they honored the sacred time this was for our family and created some sacred space to hold us. Our whole family was and continues to be incredibly grateful. I'm writing for myself as well as my neighbor, who I brought in to have her cat looked at. We were seen by Dr Grace and her staff. Everyone was very kind, competent, gracious and friendly. They dealt with the kitty as well as the concerned parent in a very professional, transparent and compassionate way. Lots of patience by the Dr/staff and options were presented clearly for the worried mom. Both human and cat went home in better condition than when they left and my neighbor was very grateful. She doesn't do tech so I'm writing on her behalf but I've been to many vets (ER and non-ER) and this VEG location has a great vibe to go along with the care, and I too appreciated them. I can't say enough good things about VEG! The doctors and staff were all so lovely and compassionate, the facility was clean and comfortable - they even had rooms with pull out sofas so that you could stay with your pet overnight while they were treated. The doctors were so wonderful and were very honest about treatment options and prognosis. When our dog woke up after his surgery and was frightened, one of the staff stayed with him in his kennel to reassure him while we headed back over. We were there all night and got to see how they treated every pet and owner with the same compassion and respect. Special thank you to Dr. Roberts who performed an emergency splenectomy at 3am for our dog. He's doing so much better and we're deeply thankful to everyone on staff who was involved in his care. read more

First off, I never leave reviews but feel I must share my awesome experience to hopefully give some relief to my fellow pet owners who worry on if their pup will get the best care they need. This place was fantastic! I called and immediately spoke with a vet, Dr. Morgan Gunn. Based on symptoms I went in for peace of mind. They text you the link for the intake form to add yours and your dog's information. Right when we got there we were greeted with a friendly staff member and ushered right back. It's a large room as you get cared for by staff with benches all around, doggie beds and blankets for your pup. They offer water, coffee and snacks while you wait. Waiting only took a few minutes before we saw Dr. Gunn, the vet I spoke to on the phone. Everyone was so kind and caring, and listened to you as you spoke about your pup's issues. Dr. Gunn went over everything and next steps. They send/text you a few option plans to review before making a decision that best suit your needs/budget and an itemized price of the care your dog will need. They were flexible with taking a few things off if you don't feel your dog needs it. The care was quick but you feel well taken care of by all of the staff. My dog shakes and whines typically but he was so calm there. Once you are done they send you a link to pay and/or you can see the front desk to checkout. They even had an option to donate for folks who can't afford it . They send you visit notes and at home care instructions as well as share it with your vet. I have been to another emergency vet location and this one was 10 times better as far as treatment and process. (The other emergency vet place was an awful experience with condescending staff, and took over 7 hours. I was told I could go home while my dog had tests done by the vet and then got a phone call from front desk person getting yelled at for leaving and I was lying being told I could leave. VEG is the best Emergency Vet Clinic I have ever been to, hands down. The level of care and compassion is something my pets and I have never experienced. While other Emergency Vet Clinics feel cold, disheartening, and daunting, VEG flips the standard. We were immediately welcomed back into a spacious and surprisingly calm treatment bay where you can watch everything going on. If privacy is more your style, they have cozy rooms to the side with dimmable lighting, white noise machines, and comfy pull out couches with blankets and lush pet bedding. During my visit I expressed that I was very sleep deprived from work and they brought in a pillow and extra blanket for me to get comfy with my pet while he was being treated. We felt right at home. They did all the treatment with my pet and I together in the room. I asked a lot of questions for my full understanding and I know I was repeating some questions but they never got impatient with me and showed the utmost compassion for a dreadful situation. Everything they did was gentle and kind. The group of staff all showed maximum care for my pet and I. The positive things I could say about VEG is endless. There's zero negatives. I will be taking my pets here for any future emergency needs, but hopefully we won't have anymore emergencies. read more

I have to do a second review on VEG after I think (??) 8 visits over the course of 14 days. We have now interacted with countless vet techs & numerous vets over the course of the 2 weeks of dealing with this tail injury from a dog attack. Without exception, every single staff member ranging from the front desk to the techs to the vets have been phenomenal. Unbelievably caring, professional, knowledgeable, humble, & even just honest about how hard & unclear of a recovery course we have ahead (which I appreciate!). I want to especially call out Rachel who has been so invested in our dog June's care & also just loving & fun & hilarious which helped get through the tough parts of this experience. I wish I had caught the names of the other vets & techs & nurses etc as they have all been wonderful. They are really doing something right @ VEG with their staff hiring & I genuinely feel beyond fortunate to have them close by & doing such a fantastic job helping us through a pretty stressful situation. read more

I called VEG to see if they could see my Guinea pig Shadow. I spoke to Eric, who I must say gave me the best customer service. He was honest and sympathetic trying to help me get my piggy some help. Each time I called, he was always so polite and helpful. I finally brought my piggy in and was greeted politely by Jeanette at the front desk and taken back to a room. Sarah came in and spoke to me about an issue I brought up about the Lynnwood VEG. She was very friendly and apologetic and listened to my concerns. It was very apparent that she cared and wanted to make it right. I then met Dr. Davies. I must say it's refreshing for a doctor to be honest and go out of her way to try and help me with my Super Pig. She went the extra mile to try and help me. I am so glad VEG opened up at Interbay! My kitty Ben suddenly became sick Saturday afternoon - vomitting, diarrhea, lethargic and no appetite. He had a habit of chewing on some Lemongrass on my deck so I feared he may have an obstruction or other reaction to the grass. After contacting another ER vet, they recommended go to VEG - telling me they could see me sooner. I didn't even know that VEG existed - very close to me too. I was dreading another painful anxiety ridden day at an ER vet- at least 6-7 hours, of waiting and worrying in my car or sad waiting room while Ben is taken away from me. To my surprise and relief - VEG is not that. They took us right in - yes we got to just walk in without having to wait in the car to be checked in and then waiting for a vet to be available. I have no AC in my car and no data on my phone so that makes it an even worse experience for both my animals and me. Long story short (I could go on and on praising VEG), they took such good care of both Ben and me. It is such a refreshing concept where you can be with your animal all the time or not, whatever is more comfortable for both of you. I ended up having to bring him back in Sunday for more tests and they again got me right in and we got him on a treatment plan. Kudos to everyone there, from the person who let us in and brought us right into the treatment room, the techs and nurses, and the two vets who saw Ben - Dr. Ladd on Saturday and Dr. Rocco on Sunday were great and took care of both Ben and me. I took my dog there at about 12 am because he injured himself some how running around the yard that evening. We got there at around 1am. Staff greeted us at the door. Got us in right away. But that's the last good thing of his review. After 5 hrs of my dog sitting there crying in pain they finally gave him something to make him more comfortable just before they took X-rays. I could assume it was to calm him before the exam and nut because he was in pain. They gave us an estimate of around $2000 for I don't know what but when everything was said and done they told us they just didn't know what was wrong with him and couldn't find anything on the X-rays, gave us so e anti inflammatory pills and sent us in our way saying you should go to your normal Vet. The dog couldn't walk and could barely stand up and all we got was an "I don't know what's wrong with him, here's some pills". We didn't pay the estimate and I'm glad we didn't. They made us fill out all the credit forms and what not before they would even look at him. We don't have credit/debt of any kind so we didn't get approved but I can get money when I needed. Sorry I didn't fill my pockets with as much cash as I could before rushing my dog to the ER. I am confident the answer would have been different if I paid their estimate or at least would have got a bandaid on the dog. If your in the business of saving lives, animal or human, waiting for your paycheck before you perform your job that you supposedly do from the goodness in your heart and because you love animals blows my mind. I'd say your the one who's sick and needs help. read more
