He was so relaxed that he took a nap!
    Jessica L.

We've been to the Redmond location and this time went to Interbay as it's much closer and less traffic. My 8yo golden had several masses removed on a Tuesday and Sat night he managed to rip out the suture on his neck. I called both locations and emailed a photo. The Interbay location suggested (on Sunday morning) that I bring him in so they could take a look to determine if he needs to be re sutured (and they won't charge us if he doesn't need suture). The Redmond location told us as long as it stops bleeding and it's less than 5cm we could wait till Monday to see his regular vet. To be safe I took him in and they were super busy, but 90min later the vet took a look, suggested skin glue as the wound had closed and didn't look as bad as the night before. She did just that and she didn't even charge us! I'm forever grateful as I've had great experiences at the Redmond location as well (he was treated 2x with doggie enema). Loved the staff and the vets. I've had way worse experiences at other ER vets. VEG is by far the best and I'm will never go anywhere else. PS they noticed Tater Tot was super scared and trying to pull me to break free of vet jail and since it was so crowded they found us a room so he could calm down! Love them.

The staff at VEG were all so compassionate and competent with the care they provided for my puppy, Ube. Each and every person we worked with went out of their way to make sure not only Ube was being taken care of, but they also checked in on my fiance and myself throughout our time there. The love the staff has for their patients was evident. We will hopefully never need to visit again, but if an emergency arises we will definitely be in touch with VEG. Thank you Dr. Samantha and staff (I'm so sorry I don't remember all your names but you all truly are exceptional people)!

If you're a pet owner in Seattle, this is the emergency vet you'll want to have saved in your contacts. Really grateful that VEG opened up near my place. Unfortunately, I had to make an emergency visit tonight because Lani had an injury that wasn't looking great. Thankfully, she got excellent care. Check-in was super fast and easy--they take you in immediately to a massive open-concept treatment room where you stay with your pet for everything. They have couches with blankets and pet beds at each station, so both pets and their humans are comfortable. Vitals and check-ups are done right in front of you, which I really appreciated. They do have private rooms for more serious cases, but I loved that the standard setup allows you to see everything happening and lets your pet see you the entire time. I even saw a cat receiving some kind of oxygen treatment, and the owner was able to sit on a couch in front of the glass kennel to keep them company, little things like that make a huge difference. The place is well-staffed, with tons of vets and support personnel, which is clearly needed because there was a steady flow of pets and their people coming in. Despite how busy they were, the team was incredibly friendly and kind. Lani had her wound treated, got set up with antibiotics, and, of course, left with the dreaded cone of shame. The best part? No price gouging just because it was an emergency. I probably would have paid the same at my regular vet. Plus, there's plenty of free parking, and it's right next to Chipotle and Panda Express if you need to grab a bite while you wait. I've been here before tonight to support a friend during her dog's illness and, the end-of-life process. They gave my friend a private room with a couch that folded into a bed, along with sheets, pillows, and blankets so she could stay overnight with her dog. That kind of care really helped both of them in those final days. Having a facility like this around is a game-changer. Being with your pet during an illness or injury helps keep them calm, which makes all the difference in their treatment, vets are scary enough as it is for pets. Best 24/7 emergency vet in Seattle. If you're a pet owner, I'd highly recommend bookmarking this place!

Friday morning, before I took my beloved "Flax" to be humanely and compassionately euthanized.
    Maura N.

Well, this place is not a jolly good time spot as it's for sick/injured/dying pets. I had to euthanize my beloved cat Flax here yesterday morning. He was so very ill and his quality of life was abysmal. The staff here are incredibly helpful and sympathetic. Mirna Topic, DVM is a young woman with mad veterinary skills and took the time to actually listen to me and made me part of the decision. The difficult, difficult decision. Because of people that refused to pay Veterinary Emergency Group and other veterinary professionals, they will make you pay the entire cost upfront and veterinary care is expensive for the same reason...people who skipped out on paying. They made it awful for the rest of us. Please don't complain about Veterinary Emergency Group being too expensive. ALL veterinary care is expensive. I am extremely fortunate to have a great bunch of older sisters who have well-paying jobs and paid all the bills for this unhappy visit. And my pet insurance will reimburse them 90%. Buy as much pet insurance as you can afford! It's well worth the peace of mind. Anyway, I can't write anymore. I feel sorrow for the loss of my fur boy bubbling up and I am going to take a shower and cry for a while. V.E.G. is a huge space with comforting and comfortable private rooms where you can hold your beloved fur baby as the vet administers the I.V. solution that will send your sweet animal pal to The Rainbow Bridge. Private and group cremations are available. I opted for group cremation as I don't need a box of my cat's remains. Ugh! Tears are rolling down my face and I can't see. Trust this place. Open 24/7, seven days a week. No appointments needed.

We showed up at 4 in the morning after Christmas with our dog who had eaten a mouthguard left unattended by one of our human children. It was a surprise and delight to see the open floor plan treatment area that allowed us to stay with our dog during treatment. In addition to the open area, there are also private rooms on the side for customers that prefer that option. The facility even has couches in the private rooms that provide space to allow pet parents to stay overnight with their pets. Each VEG clinic is part of a large chain of emergency veterinary clinics, but each VEG employee I spoke with was courteous, skillful in their work, and had agency to do what was needed so that we had an comfortable emergency visit with our sick pet.

A 24/7 Emergency Vet - wow. Talk about a stalwart business. The interior is bright, clean, and welcoming. I love their philosophy behind pet care. Our orange tabby got the tip of her tail caught under a stool and as a result it got ripped off to the point her bone was showing, so we had to find a place that would see her immediately (potential infection and nerve damage were the risks). It ended up being $1700 for a small tail amputation surgery with sedation and pain meds, and they were able to have her in and out in a matter of hours. The staff is friendly and does an amazing job at offering explanations. They let you stay with your pet the entire time throughout the procedure too, which shows conscientiousness / empathy for anxious pet owners out there. All around an great experience :)

The disregard and horrible attitudes and lack of care was astounding. Dirty facility. Rude and lazy staff. Didn't even pretend to care about me or my dog. I am there for a check up for my dog and they treated me like I was an inconvenience. I don't even want to bother typing out the long winded details of how awful everything is. In addition, the front desk staff said they would cancel my wellness plan to not auto renew at the last terrible experience there, which I expressed my immense dissatisfaction right then in person asked for it not to auto renew. I check back to my account - He did not do that. SO I clicked for it to not auto renew on my online account. I called the vet a few days later to confirm this and they said on their end it will still auto renew and that I can ONLY call a specific number to cancel. I call the number,. It says I need to be transferred to a Banfield associate or change it ONLINE. Bottom line - if you care for your pet - do not go to any Banfield.

I arrived for my scheduled appointment only to be told by Elliott Lead that there was no record of it in their system. I showed a screenshot confirming my appointment and Elliott acknowledged that this same issue had already happened earlier that day which means they were aware of a problem with their scheduling system. Even with this admission and with my dog being sick they refused to see her. What made this experience even worse was the complete lack of care and accountability. When I shared my concern about being turned away with a sick pet Elliott responded in a dismissive and condescending way suggesting I must not have received a confirmation email or text even though I had proof of the booking in front of them. There was no ownership of their mistake and no compassion for my dogs wellbeing. Elliott did not offer to help find another appointment at any Urban Animal clinic did not offer to see if there was a cancellation and did not provide any support or guidance on where to seek care. I had to search for an emergency clinic on my own and spent three hours trying to get my dog the care she needed because Urban Animal refused to assist after their own scheduling error. This level of neglect lack of responsibility and absence of empathy is unacceptable for any veterinary practice especially one trusted with the health of our pets. Tymber deserved better and so does any animal brought to Urban Animal. Because of this experience and the unprofessional conduct I will not be returning and I cannot recommend Urban Animal to anyone looking for reliable or compassionate veterinary care.

The past few years with my aging sheltie have shown me the delicate balance of veterinary care as both a business and as a partnership: I appreciate the up-front estimates and range of services or treatments for my dog, and I appreciate that they were willing to have meaningful conversations about quality of life, cost of care and cost-benefit analyses of each path. In the end, they were supportive of palliative care for pain, and were so kind, patient and supportive through the hardest day of my life with Neville: making the decision to end his pain and confusion even as he continued to wag his sweet tail and support me in my grief. I'll continue to bring my other shelties here, and I'll continue to work within our family budget and I know that QAAC will work with me to find the best path for caring for my beloved pets.

We booked a grooming service and were clear with the front desk about our expectations. We selected a tier 3 shortness level haircut and explicitly requested her entire body to be trimmed -- including her head, face, and a lion-style tail (fluffy end, trimmed shaft). Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. Upon pickup, Pepper shook her body and an excessive amount of loose hair fell off, which indicated she was not brushed thoroughly after the cut. In addition, the specific areas we highlighted were not properly groomed, and the cut across her body is noticeably uneven. I have attached photos for your reference. While I understand this was her first appointment and the groomer was seeing her for the first time, I want to make it clear that Pepper is a very calm and cooperative dog who is easy to groom. There should not have been any behavioral challenges affecting the outcome. Given the quality of the grooming service provided, we do not believe the results reflect the price we paid. We requested a discount or partial refund for the visit, and have not heard from anyone. We followed up two more times and still nothing. We hope this feedback can be used to improve quality control and communication in the future. We will not be back again.
