We went around 6pm so there were A LOT of architecture tour boats going through the river with us. There's waves created by those boats make the kayak session very rocky and that made me a bit motion sick actually. That was on top of us paddling west during sunset, so the sun was shining very bright into our eyes. I was wearing sunglasses but I think a hat would've helped as well. It isn't strenuous but I just didn't prepare well enough. Still a great experience and would come back more prepared.

Their location right on the Riverwalk is incredibly convenient and surrounded by gorgeous architecture, bars, and restaurants, making it easy to turn into a full evening downtown. The check-in process and safety/education class were simple, informative, and very beginner friendly. Our tour guide, Drew, was absolutely phenomenal. He was kind, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job making sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. He kept the group moving at a pace that worked well for everyone, which made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. We chose the sunset tour and highly recommend it. Seeing the golden glow reflect off the Chicago buildings from the water was stunning and such a unique way to experience downtown Chicago. The tour lasted about two hours and covered roughly two miles, making it the perfect light workout before heading out for late-night sushi afterward. You should definitely expect to get a little wet from paddle splashes, but that's part of the fun. Overall, it doesn't require a ton of physical effort, just a willingness to laugh, paddle, and enjoy yourself!

So many different breeds of beautiful dogs eager and excited to play with each other, and their parents, as well. And, of course, they can play alone if they desire...Miller Meadows is large enough for you and your pup to have his/her own space to do whatever they like. And, I often get my daily steps in when my doggy and I are at Miller Meadows. There are close to 2 Laps inside the park for a mile. I often get in 10 miles (20 laps) while we're there...No less than 5 miles. And Miller Meadows is one of the Cook County Preserve Parks, and the dog park is just one area of Miller Meadows. There is a beautiful, amazing path/trail on the outskirts surrounding the dog park with a breathtaking walking scenery of forestry, and wild life...the doggies love the deer. And of course, the path is great for not only walking your doggy, but for biking, jogging, rollerblading/skating, and health walking. There are several picnic tables if you wish to relax sit/eat/chat while watching your dog play; and several stations with poop bags. But, THERE IS NO WATER FOUNTAIN/SUPPLY in the dog park...So, the parents bring water, and we keep the many water pans (already there) filled with water for our doggies. Come for a visit...You'll Love It!!

Been here 10 minutes and his dogs have attacked 2 and my basset and this isn't the first complaint I've heard. This man has a reputation. Just let's them be aggressive. Stay alert.

We are members of the community who pay for a pool pass each year and I'm afraid this year will be…read moreour last. Every year, the park district closes the diving well to members of the public (both pass holders and paying members of the public) so that they can make money through offering some type of swim lesson camp. My kids love to dive but are told to leave the diving area along with their friends who have paid a daily fee to swim. So not only does the park district crowd the pool with campers but now they tell paying members that they cannot use the pool they have paid to use. We have been coming to this pool over ten years and my kids have gone through lessons here (which by the way are not worth it beyond getting over fear of the water level) and each year the park district treats paying members of the general public worse and worse. Closing off more and more areas of the pool. There is no reason to pay to go to a pool that is roped off for lessons in half of it or has no diving well. Clearly they are more interested in the cash cow that the summer camps have become than offering an enjoyable swimming experience.
