Waited in line for food/drinks for about 45 minutes only to find out they were ONLY taking cash and no sign stating this to forewarn people waiting. At the end of the night, it took two hours and 4 canceled Ubers because the place was complete chaos. The people directing traffic didn't even know where to direct us to find our ride. The Uber couldn't find us because most roads were blocked off so we had to walk about a mile to find him.

Pecos Park is a beautiful park off 96th and Pecos. The grass is so lush and green, it puts other…read moreparks to shame. There is a nice pavilion with the playground nearby. There are 4 regular swings and 2 infant swings. The playground looks pretty new. There are picnic tables underneath the shady trees next to the playground. There were younger kids at the playground and teenagers at the pavilions and everyone was happy and not bothering anyone. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely come back.

There's also a stage for events and they have car shows most Friday nights. I am keeping an eye out for when they open the carousel (it's run seasonally the sign says). This is one of the best designed playgrounds we've been to (and he played on) so far out of the dozen or so playgrounds that we've been to. A large playground with lots of well designed climbing and slides and everything is smooth and well rounded with hardly any sharp corners or edges. I would give this place a 5 but I need to leave room in case we find something better. Say a 4+ star and highly recommended.

Some crab apple trees surrounded the trail making it for a pretty stroll. Sitting benches are also available throughout the park.
