There is a lot of nice grass for picnicking or whatever. Some shade, too. A few okay benches. I don't recommend going barefoot in the sand; there are a lot of cats in the neighborhood. There used to be a tire swing. They replaced it with a (third) baby swing. Why?! The swings on the "big kid" playground are nice, but the one on the right (if Nez Perce Drive is behind you) squeaks like nothing else, while the left swing is completely silent.

The overgrown brush was also dry as could be and in the fierce heat, it seemed this place would spontaneously combust. I have backpacked and camped all over CA and have never fled before. If you do go, avoid Valley View site 11. Absolutely no shade and it's right by the stinky outhouse. We got permission to move to shady site 12 (the overflow site) but still couldn't find a reason to stay. Maybe this place is better in Springtime!

Being right across the street from a school, you'd think it would be nice to have a restroom available for anyone who might be at the park after school, when the school buildings are closed. The play areas could also benefit from their own shade structures, but currently have none. Despite this inconvenience, the park remains a lively and welcoming space that encourages outdoor play and community connection.

While it's part of the sports park, there was parking close enough to make it easy to get there, next to the soccer field. Compared to other small towns, they did a really good job on this skate park. Just ask the people in Watsonville.

This area is beautiful and what a deal for $10/a night. The last few days there was a lot of rain…read moreso the riding and roads in general were very muddy but still such a great place to go. The store is open every day and you're close enough to town if you forgot anything the store doesn't carry. Whether you're riding a motorcycle, ATV or 4-wheelin' it's a great location to get away to. The down side is public restrooms are not kept up, missing faucets, plugged drains in sinks and showers, no toilet paper - definitely needs attention.
